Greetings, fellow PC friends. What are you gonna do to survive the inevitable shitpost storm following World's release? What games will help you pass the time until the Steam release? Anyone else thinking about trying Dauntless?

Never got to playing dragon's dogma so i'm doing that.
And i might pick fighter z
I started reading the Horus Heresy, Then starting the rest of 40k books
Shit will last me till MonHun Warudo is on PC
>$95 for full game
Ew, no thanks.
are you sure you're not a console kid in disguise?
buy a key for 30 bucks like any pc user would user
I bet the Dauntless devs are breathing a sigh of relief over that 6 month wait on MonHun pc.
>Dauntless
>Competing with MonHun
Pick one
I'm trying to get my friends to download PPSSPP so we can co-op some.
For real. It must have been a huge boon. I wouldn't be surprised if they saw a good chunk of sales from the announcement alone.
Does PPSSPP still need hamachi or some shit?
Having just played the beta last week.
They're in deep shit. The UI is still programmer art, combat is super floaty. Animations aren't blended properly. Tutorial is basically non existent.
Instead it seems they've focused their resources on having every NPC voice acted instead of enhancing the core user experience.
Yeah, you gotta fuck with Tunngle or whatever it's called. Doesn't really bother me but it's another hoop to jump through.
Just buy a PS4 you fucking gaijin losers
bought the monster hunter ps4pro
not getting it until the 4th sadly.
Well, I wasnt expecting it to be good.
I never really got into any of those other hunting games.
I played MH3rd on the PSP emulator with friends
Good game
We played MHFU last year
I might try MHGen on Citra, it plays well now
Not worth for a single multiplat of all things.
I've tried dauntless and it sucks giant cock. I have started a new save file for dragons dogma but I'm already about to fight the dragon I doubt bbi will take 6-7 months
i have one
if you think i'm going to play an action game at 30fps in 2018 you're fucking insane
Anyone else waiting for this and bannerlord at the same time.?
I got Nioh at the end of the year and got KF2 from the bundle. The former pretty much fills the MH itch for me only really lacking 3- and 4-man memehunts. The latter is another timesink.
since it's going to be F2P, i think that if you have a group of friends, it'll be fine.b
But currently you'll have a better gameplay experience doing a second play through of MH4U on the 3ds or Dragons Dogma on PC.
playing grampas unite
it has enough content to last a lifetime
I wish MHW gave the female hunters muscle definition like in that pic.
>When Shaggy plays you
Get em' wet shaggy.
>tfw double dipping
>tfw standard PS4 and shit framerate
I sure will scoobs
That pic is from MvCI... and it probably has more muscle definition than MHW will give its fems.
I'd double dip except I'd also be paying for internet use for one game. FFS consolebabbies
Also her torso is more tapered down which looks more feminine the MHW model torso is a bit too wide and boxy for my tastes.
>What are you gonna do to survive the inevitable shitpost storm following World's release?
Not go into the threads? I avoided the spoiler threads so far and I've already made peace with the fact that somebody somewhere out there will eventually get stuck on a monster and post a picture of it on a new thread to complain about it, so spoilers won't be 100% unavoidable.
>What games will help you pass the time until the Steam release?
There are some releases coming out, my third playthrough of MH3U isn't finished yet, got the entirety of the Metal Gear series to play that I've been putting off for too long now. Overall I've waited a long long time for MH to be on a console again since 3U, I can wait a little more.
>Anyone else thinking about trying Dauntless?
Played it for a while, come back every update for a few. All I gotta say about it is that it plays surprisingly very well with Keyboard and Mouse, and that the cartoonish look it has allows the devs to make more creative attacks compared to Monster Hunter's "everybody gets a tail whip and charge attack" monsters, so every hunt is unique to itself. Aside from that though, something is missing from the game that makes MH so addicting, and the devs completely fucked over the loot and gear progression system because they remembered that the full game is supposed to be F2P and that they have to make grinding a massive chore to sell microtransactions somehow. Everybody gave the devs MASSIVE shit for it and they toned down the grinding somewhat, but the overall system is still there and still takes away form what makes MH grinding and carving so satisfying to do.
To anybody actually thinking about trying Dauntless, don't. At least not yet, wait for the open beta later this year, because right now there's nobody to play with, and all monsters and quests are balanced for 4 people because the devs want this game to be multiplayer focused, and a multiplayer focused game without people playing is not worth it.
I'll not give a fuck and continue playing elona+
>console friends will get it never ever
Is Kirin back? Nice.
See
PS: if you don't live on top of the game servers, expect lag. Lots of it. The game is 100% server side so your character will teleport, face the wrong way despite your inputs, be unable to dodge roll in time, etc. It'll be a massive pain the ass and make the overall experience much more frustrating than it should be.
Really anybody thinking about Dauntless should just emulate Freedom Unite or Portable 3rd/3 Ultimate instead.
>want to wait for the PC version not because of performance, but because I'm legitimately upset that MH multiplayer is locked behind a paywall in consoles now
>getting this feeling that Capcom might try to scam PC players into paying a fee too
The fact that they're making an online infrasctructure from scratch instead of using Steamworks made me skeptical
Hey, at least the freemium payshop and its features work :D
I didnt even get far enough to look at that, although i did notice that the tutorials items were given out in loot crates
ill play other games?
at first i was a little irked by the delay for the pc version, but then i realized it'll give me enough time to critically assess the game, and by proxy play it through a friend to try it, and see if its actually worth all the casualization
Doesn't matter, she's still gonna be in bestiality SFMs
double-dipping idort here
feels good to have disposable income, even if I want to die from 9 to 5 every weekday
>owning a console
>not having xbl or ps+
stop being a poorfag
Not gonna play that crap until someone mod in cute girls.
>Dauntless
LMAO I'd literally rather double dip on MHW (I am) then even think about giving money to sjw devs for dickless.
>paying to use the connection you already pay for
Fuck off
>making an online infrasctructure from scratch instead of using Steamworks
Isn't that exactly what they did for Street Fighter V too all so PC and PS4 could play together? Maybe we're going to see the same thing here? Maybe not everything is bad and there is hope for good things?
show me where i can get the ultimate edition key for $30
If there was actually crossplay, it would actually make sense for them not to mention it until closer to the PC launch to encourage console sales.
how long until steam release?
>Autumn
So most likely late-November.
I have few Dauntless codes if anyone wants.
I finished tutorial and dropped it because its unoptimized as fuck. You need a pretty decent PC to run it well.
Also that character creation is awful.
If anyone wants it i'll make a small "riddle" for you.
I hate that we live in a world where companies can pay off developers for timed exclusivity.
I mean let's be honest, it doesn't take 9 months to optimize a game, especially not when it's using the same MT Framework as the immaculate Dragon's Dogma port.
Sony clearly payed Capcom to make it console exclusive for a limited time.
I'm gonna pirate the game and solo all of it like I always do, fuck Crapcom
ok falseflagging sonygro
thats bullshit
don't forget the said they're AIMING for autumn so an even further delay is entirely possible
Depends on how much money Sony gave them
I was floored when SE came out with the FFXII announced (just one more week!) without waiting the year+ they usually do for PC ports. Maybe it's because it didn't sell that well? Anyways, The Zodiac Age will likely see several playthroughs from me, enough at least to get through the summer.
That one doujinshi with the trap wearing that armor.
He was already confirmed in a trailer from at least a month ago
Ff12 sucks. Literally no one remembers it fondly unless you love generic mmo combat with endless grind.
I remember dat booty fondly.
I'll take one I have nothing to do anyway
