Apparently not even the official RTX Sydney guidebook mentions BBTAG. Grimm Eclipse and everything else RWBY is there, but absolutely nothing about BBTAG.
The huge DLC fiasco will probably taint it forever now just like MVCI was tainted with graphics before it came out. They fucked up hard.

They are idiots honestly. They literally just had to make a mugen tag fighter (they are already reusing assets from other games) and instead they pollute it with DLC and have a small roster. This game should have like fucking 60 characters because they should be directly porting characters from other games. I don't even give a shit about RWBY but they shafted them hard.

The DLC announcement killed literally any interest anyone had in the game. They tried to damage control by going "b-but it doesn't cost as much as a full game!" when the difference was like than $10 as if that was justification for the DLC. Then there's the fact that the RWBY characters which were probably the big draw for a lot of people aren't even all going to be in the base game with two of them being DLC. Most likely killed any chances of anyone outside of the main team showing up as well, meaning the rest of the DLC characters are just going to be lazy sprite rips from existing games.
They shot themselves in the foot. Not that the game looked that great before the DLC news, but it's almost like they actively wanted it to fail.

Pretty much nailed it. RT clearly wants to wash their hands of it and ASW has been very wishy-washy about any news since the DLC announcement, so unless there's something big (which almost certainly won't be at RTX Sydney at this point), it's dead, Jim.
I wonder if the deal between RT and ASW went sour and all this is a result of that, they're legally obligated to go forward with the game but after it's out, they're done with each other.

This all started when weebs attacked Lindsay for being a shitty voice actress and wanting SUPERIOR JAPANESE ONLY voices in their shitty game. Even the Japs hated her voice. I bet RT wasn't too impressed when Mori had to gomenasai and announce that there'd be Japanese voices for the Rwbys too, so everyone's favorite semen gurgling high pitched prostitutes are in as well.
From there nobody at RT wanted to talk about it and now it's gone even further downhill.
Arcsys killed the game. No one cares now. BBTAG is the skeleton in both companies closet now
It's just cheap shovelware to fund Daisuke's dream Guilty Gear, so who cares.
