The "tiles" are seperated terribly on the trees and they don't fit together making it look ugly it's the same for the rest of the screen but not as noticeable. The characters themselves are badly sprited too. All in all sheer laziness that they couldn't even port the DS or SNES version

Let's ignore the graphics filter for a second. It's a mobile phone port, which means the UI is absolutely terrible, and even if you're using a gamepad, it constantly pushes a touchscreen interface on you. No option to change controls either. You're stuck with the ass-backward control scheme they shove on you.
Not a single problem here exists when you emulate the game.
