honestly no
compared to other metal gear villains Armstrong seemed reasonable and his goals noble.

Nah, none of them really were BATSHIT INSANE as Raiden thinks

>I'm gonna use the war economy to end the war economy!

Okay so what happens when he implements his plan and all of the people he used to seize power are suddenly out of a job?

>the weak will be purged

I don't know, what would you go out and fight for if he achieved his vision?

Raiden was 100% in the wrong on this one.

Well he could break the president in two with this bare hands, but he's making the mother of all omelettes, so he can't fret over every egg.

No joke, I would vote for him and not by his meme status too.

Reverse Hitlers, they enter the creative industry.

Anyone else think it was weird how the game ended at this scene? I guess we have to wait for the sequel where they team up.

>Willing to destroy a country just to rebuild it

Yes he was wrong

the final boss fight was weird

Armstrong seemed completely reasonable and Jack acted like a bratty child

At least he's willing to rebuild it, can't say the same for all the other countries he destabilized just because.

Not really, and I don't think his vision of people seizing their destiny and "fighting for what they believe in," has to come at the cost of making America the wild, wild west again.

How so? You can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs, user.

I guess Raiden might have agreed with him but then he started talking about purging and shit

That's what God did. So why not? If tree is rotten to the core there is no way to save it.

I feel like people who agree with Armstrong's rationale don't understand the politics of Metal Gear

Might makes right is a very flawed argument

You must be female right? How can you not understand such simple concepts in game called revengeance

Depends on what you consider to be "bad'. He came at the problem of the metal gear setting from a different but just as radical direction as Zero and the Patriots did.

>food analogy

Everytime

If God is omnipotent he doesn't need to. Destroying kingdoms is a reminder of God's strength for the future generations. Plus even today we face floods and hurricanes.

Does everyone forget how he ok'd using the brains of children to create super soldiers because that doesnt seem like a cool thing to do

>>food analogy
>Everytime
Are you retarded

Those children would turn in to gang members and rapists anyway.

STANDING HERE

War's in our blood, user! Why fight it?

He wouldnt be, if he was mc.

Are you clairvoyant, or how do you know that? Should we just kill 4channers and make use of their organs and blood since they'll never amount to anything as well?

Ultimately it came down to a "means do not justify the ends" issue. Armstrong was right in the sense that America is a bloated, freakish parody of itself now. However, Jack was right in that his method for fixing it was BATSHIT INSANE and would probably cause more.problems than it solves. Destroy the system entirely and you set the stage for something even WORSE to come along (i.e. Napoleon rising to power after the Revolution, everything about the Bolshiveks, Hitler, etc.).

Besides, he was financing a group that kidnapped children, ripped thier brains out and forced them into VR battles over and over to.make them vicious killers. That alone should disqualify any policy Armstrong wanted to impliment

What was Monsoon's motivation? Was he just along for the ride?

Might as well.

The propagation of memes.

Solidus also did nothing wrong
Neither did Big Boss

>Are you clairvoyant, or how do you know that?
They're niggers

Lurk moar I guess.

Never breed, user

The omelette reference is from the game you fucking idiot

>The Good Guy wins
so whats the issue?

Seems fairly economical.

So are you, what's your fucking point here?

he was a villain, yes

>people unironically think mass anarchy (that inevitably leads to warlord-run states) is a good idea

I'm starting to think the Patriots were right.

It's their fault Armstrong is a thing

Sounds good to me

He literally used kids to make armies. Yes, he was a terrible human.

Further more, how would his world work? Okay, everyone has their own goals and ideals, this conflicts with everyone else, but everyone has the freedom to launch horror on everyone else because they feel like it. Never ending chaos.

Even if it ever ended, all the top assfuckers sitting around patting themselves on the back, then what? They'd just assfuck each other.

Also, you've got a rape-bot that is a PTSD-fueled child soldier before you, and you argue the benefits of them? Absolute tard.

speak for yourself 52%

I fight to protect that smile

you first fag.

I think he's one of the most likeable villains i've faced, by the end of the game raiden proved him right as well so technically he wasn't wrong with the whole "the will of the strongest"

Every single person on this website would be quickly culled in his ideal world.

Chill out, blacky.
What to say to you...
We brothas, nawimean?

Should edit in a cut to black and then the credits roll

He wasnt intentionally evil but he was in the wrong.

Simply put he thought that America becoming openly an empire would be the best course of action and he was an Ayn Rand's ideology walking parody. To many people that isnt a bad thing in itself, but to others there is no bigger evil than that.

Yeah but they're not our children, some were just gonna sit in the street anyway, he's actually getting them to do something.

Humanity needs a purge.

Furthermore, Raiden was also brought into military so he'd actually do something, despite having to kill and steal just to survive. That was his ticket into becoming something more.

I'm exempt. I'm the best human being that has ever or will ever post in this shithole.

I REALIZE

>the strongest will rule as nature intended!
>is only strong because of his expensive nanomachine augmentations
>raiden even calls him out for being a trust fund baby who never suffered a day in his life
why do people agree with him again?

Nah, he was just batshit insaiyan.

He saw Armstrong's meme potential and thus was bound to follow him.

Yeah but he gave a speech that made me say fuck borders and laws

They'll be free to live as they see fit. THEY'LL MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

>guy is passionate and has a clear ideology
>this makes him correct according to Sup Forums (and an unfortunately large swathe of the population)

Every single fucking time, it's frankly scary.

I wonder how destroying one bumfuck nowhere third world country with the size less than Uganda will force some kind of war conflict Armstrong is hoping for.

They all wanted the same thing. War, but REAL war based on ideals and dreams, not oil or money.

Broken person caught up in another's wake

>and the strongest will thrive

Soy

>Further more, how would his world work? Okay, everyone has their own goals and ideals, this conflicts with everyone else, but everyone has the freedom to launch horror on everyone else because they feel like it. Never ending chaos.
RULES
OF
NATURE

They're edgelords, or dummies too dumb to reflect on what he did, oblivious they would be purged, and that have delusions of grandeur. All because he said he wants wants men to fight their own wars.

>how do you know that?
I only lived in the South Bronx, and even those fatherless nigger-spics get into crazy drug-dealing, pimping, gangbanging, you name it. Now consider Mexico's corrupt, dirty ass country. What do YOU think growing boys with no direction and nothing but fear and hatred in their hearts will amount to? Go to fucking med school? Don't make me laugh.
>Should we just kill 4channers
YES

>guy is passionate and has a clear ideology
Sign of a great leader. Many men died for great leaders with no regrets.

MAKING THE MOTHER OF ALL OMELETTES

youtube.com/watch?v=1vtNZqzbXkk

That's what Sundowner wanted though, for the war economy to go on

>Suffering
>Good
When people who glorify weakness have control of the country, weakness is what gets produced.

Nice meme Jack, apply it to life

Natural human psychology. If a guy looks like a leader people will follow. This shouldn't be surprising to you, AT ALL, especially consider President Donald Trump.

Mexicanos weren't gonna do that anyways bucko. When the nature rules, they'll be history.

You have 10 seconds to explain to me how The Boss' end goal was different from Armstrong's.

Sundowner didn't give a fuck either way, he just wants war, period. Armstrong would have brought plenty of that.

>You don't know what it's like to fight and steal and kill just to survive!
>But you did survive! Through sheer force of will, following your own set of rules. With your own two hands, you took back your life!
I love that moment

>Dust off Raiden's Armor
Man, he's such a honorable dude
Can't wait for the sequel where you make America great again

I don't think Raiden was glorifying anything. He was just pointing out what a hypocrite Armstrong is.

Again, relying on an arbitrary assumption that suffering is a good thing. He is the strongest, why should he suffer?

He wanted to make America great again. How could he be wrong?

how do you know if you're the strongest if you never had to do anything in your life through your own effort?

It's interesting to think about, but you have a point. I think what Armstrong says about fighting your own wars resonates with a lot of people, but how exactly does an individual plan to wage their own war for their personal beliefs? How will they fight?

>following other people even to death
Loyalty is a shitty name that only cucks follow

He does plenty through his own effort lad what did you think the game was about?

>assumption that suffering is a good thing
What assumption? Armstrong was going to put into motion a series of events that would have lead to the death of millions of innocent people. It's not good that they're weak, but they are, and slaughtering them is insanity. Lots of them might be smart people working in offices. I mean, yeah, the losers living in section 8 housing, fuck them for the most part, but they don't deserve to die. We just gotta stop paying for the welfare programs that are incentivising their shitty behavior.

Though I suppose Armstrong's solution would be a lot faster.

>He is the strongest, why should he suffer?
Who, Armstrong? He obviously wasn't because he fucking lost.

...

>you took back your life!
FROM FAGS LIKE HIM

Eh, let's not go crazy here. Armstrong played college ball, you know? And he became an officer in the Navy. You don't get those positions through slacking off. Also consider the sacrifices that his family and ancestors had to go through. Nobody likes to think about that because humans are fucking retards and always like to think of people as perfectly individual creatures when we're fucking not.

Armstrong just maxed out his CHA. His plan wasn't all that great.

>smart people
Armstrong wasn't talking about physical strength you muppet.
You'd be purged alright.

>but they don't deserve to die
Nobody "deserves" anything, why are you the grand arbiter of who deserves what? Why do you get a monopoly on that, why is Armstrong's opinion less valid than yours?

Faggots like you have never accomplished anything great in your life. And it's because people like you are weak, selfish cowards with no dreams.

>He is the strongest
