The core borderlands games are complete shit I agree, but whoever took the reins at TellTale actually made pandora an interesting place and made the characters not meme-spewing inbreds
regardless, having played both Wolf and TftB, the latter holds up in terms of writing and plot. There's a lot of well-done humor that you wouldn't expect from a borderlands game that made it really enjoyable

It was a fun game to idly spend doing the great side quests or getting cozy listening to the exhaustive dialog in the game. But the storytelling that went into the main plot was pretty generic fantasy. Just because it was about something other than killing an evil wizard doesn't change that.

eh having something you would willingly pick up and read for a dollar in a video game is pretty much the gold standard for RPG story telling

VTMB is also basic urban fantasy if you just count the plot points (which you shouldn't, programming a werewolf is harder than writing about one)

Nah. it's a serviceable hero and there's nothing bad to say about it, but also there's basically nothing compelling about it and everything is a cliche. The characters and plot are beyond plain.

At least Bloodlines is interesting to play. It also does a better job of roping you into what's happening. In planescape I just felt like I was going from one dialogue point to the next.
