plz post more screen shots of old game informer

Classic stapled GameInformers from funcoland were my favorite. EGM was also good and there was another magazine I can't remember that would mostly have mini walkthroughs. GamePro was shit but might be the best one to go back to for nostalgia now.

I used to love EGM back in the day, especially Seanbaby's last page stuff.

egm in the early 90s was the best. game informer used to be good too. used to.

PSM and Game Informer back in the day.
Magazines nowadays are fucking pointless though. If you really need to read about anything video related you can get all the info for free online.
Before internet was so widespread they were much more practical. Demo discs, cheat codes, walk throughs, reviews, posters, etc.

PC ACCELERATOR BABYYYY

Electronic Gaming Monthly. No, not that faggy EGM reboot they attempted 10 years ago. Electronic Gaming Monthly. Shoe with his editorials, Sushi-X and his gaming rumors, Seanbaby's terrible game reviews, man I loved that shit. Game informer is shit btw but we all know that already.

ComputerGamingWorld had some solid and funny articles but I think they fucking evaporated midway through the 6th console generation

>nintendo announces new dual screen portable
wasn't the fat NDS released around 2009/10

Any good places for scans of EGM, PSM and Official PS Magazine? Already know about Internet Archive.

Liked psm

Try 2004

The official Nintendo magazine back when that kind of thing had a spine.

It was Nintendo Power.
No, as it ended several years ago.
I have a ton of old GamePro magazines, but I never found them to be terribly interesting.

>2004 was 20 years ago
holy shit

Gameinformer podcast is super fucking comfy

All the cheatcodes in the back blew my god-damn mind.

>tfw would buy four different PS2 magazines at once because I didn't trust the opinions of just one

GameNOW was my favorite. Tips & Tricks walkthroughs were fun to read even if I didn't actually own the game, and EGM was great for fap material. GamePro was kinda shit, and Game Informer was informative if nothing else.

I was a GamePro kid. They had dedicated RPG and fighting game sections, which I appreciated. I read other ones, too, but that was my favorite.

This was also a good one. I had this exact issue, actually.

Fuck I miss old game advertising

>have most of 2008's issues, like pic related
>they're pretty good, and have things like Shoe and Seanbaby
Or did you mean the reboot after its sudden end around that time?

I miss EGM fuck man not even 1up is alive anymore

Make way for the most k i n o gaming magazine

I want to open up the DoA one.

Why is Gameinformer the only one still around?

Maybe because they became a glorified ad for gamestop?

Last magazine I bought was a copy of EDGE like two years, which I have read on-and-off since 1999. I only really buy them nowadays if I'm going on a plane or train somewhere and need some reading material to kill time, so maybe once or twice a year at most.

>One magazine would have the reviews of at least 3 people and would include 1 being a veteran of the genre and 1 being new to it so you would get more well-rounded opinions
>Metacritic didn't exist and you would actually have to trust yourself to make an informed decision

I had GamePro as well but I'm not nearly old enough to have an issue as old as the one in your picture. I kinda wish I kept them but I threw them all away last year. Somehow my brother managed to get our parents to get a Game Informer subscription also so we had access to two different gaming magazines at the same time which was neat.

Same

Here's a neat cover from one of my brother's Game Informers.

defunct games does some interesting look backs at EGM

i never had a subscription but I did get two issues. one helped me complete melee and the other helped me complete legacy of goku 2. good times.

Found some.

I was all about PC Gamer, but dropped it pretty hard after GG happened.

gameinformer, while always shit got worse once they started hiring SJWs. i find it funny that they gave a shit review to kingdom come for being buggy but somehow bethesda and obsidion games get a free pass.
