They are unplayable when your save game becomes bigger. The problem wasn't present on X360. Skyrim at least was tried to be fixed on PS3 but FO3 and NV don't.

Dragon Quest Builders, Disgaea 5, Puyo Puyo Tetris, and MK8D were good ports. There's nothing wrong with them.

Bad times and I second this Skyrim, Fallout 3 and New Vegas were the most awful ports for PS3 they were not shitty versions those games are broken and unplayble after some amount of time.

I've played Doom on Switch and it was pretty alright. It ain't the PC version but it was totally serviceable. OP looks unplayable, though.

Every Japanese game nowadays has 60 FPS as its cap. Never, ever expect anything more. They all do the same shit of tying game logic to framerate all the time, which can result in everything breaking if the framerate is outside expectations. Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet lets you set the FPS to 60 for example, but the game was designed around the console 30 FPS limit; setting it to 60 results in some enemy attacks being completely unavoidable and the AI being wonkydick as all fuck.
Even the occasional western dev fucks it up, but still. Anything above 60 FPS is far from standard, so don't be surprised that your 144hz monitor isn't exactly catered for.

Every action game would be better in 144hz, especially seeing as how higher framerates directly reduce input lag, and the fact that they tend to have fast movements.

Even if you use the Sandbox mod to fix content as a sort of fan patch for the game, it doesn't fix the audio issues. The company responsible for the port used the free trial version of an audio converter, which butchered the sound.
I remember RDR running like shit on lauch on the PS3. It was even sub 720p iirc with massive framedrops here and there. Jewstar probably fixed it already

If that's your standards, none of those games are demanding, and it's no secret that the switch isn't a powerful system, it's a very powerful handheld, but weak console. Which is fine.
That's because the PS3 was, and still is, a piece of fucking TRASH. It was such a pain to make games for that even though the 360 is weaker, Almost EVERY single multiplat looked and played better on Xbox.

It was. Sure it is impressive they got that on the switch but truth be told when the framerate drops below 24fps at several points in time then it isnt a good port.

An example of just shitty unoptimized game is something like Tetris for PS4, we are talking single digit frames for tetris. You can also try OpenMW on PC, basically it looks worse than and has less on screen than Skyrim and barely manages 60fps

It's abysmal hardware didn't stand in the way of developers wracking their brain trying to get games onto it though, it's support was immense, even greater than the Xbox 360, which was selling better for the first few years. Third parties devotion to the playstation brand was strong enough to save it. Or in segas case

Ehhhh, they're alright. I can never find someone on Revelations 1 and everyone on Revelations 2 only plays during the day. The framerate is all over the place for both as well. The games are fun, but the ports aren't great. Tho gyro/motion aiming is pretty good, when it isn't drifting at least.
I might not call it good but I wouldn't say bad. There's a middle ground of decent isn't there?
