DSP?

who cares if he enjoys it

who the fuck enjoys making videos for no one

That guy, obviously

same
youtube.com/watch?v=OK3Koic8mac

so much effort for nothing lmao. And im surprised youtube hasn't sent him a "nephew please aint nobody watching your trash" notification telling him theyre disabling his uploading privileges on the account to save server space

i mean think about hes probably cost them like over $250 worth of storage space just from his videos alone

Oh man, yeah, $250 is gonna put Google out of business

I'm not sure if those bum me out more or less than "comedy" twitter accounts that post multiple times a day and never get more than 3 retweets. How can you bring yourself to keep creating with basically no validation?

These are the type of people that become serial killers.

>Have just over 100 videos
>3.6 million views
>Earned 200 subscribers in the past month
>Haven't uploaded in over 2 years due to hearing loss

Still hurts.

I know you didn't mean it seriously, but this is exactly how Google makes a shitton of money. By letting everyone upload anything, they are guaranteed to get all the good ones too.

As for the guy, if he enjoys it, why not, I don't see any problem with it, he may benefit from it in one way or anothet.

Post channel.

>couple of guys with an editor and actually funny commentary
>sub-100 subscribers
>uploads come to a complete halt after the channel gets linked in a YT thread on Sup Forums

Come back, Dungeon Creeps.

Just keep making videos anyway and become the Vidya Beethoven of YouTube, fucking fag

>have a channel solely for subscribing and nothing else
>for years, have never uploaded a single video once, nor do I have any plans to
>somebody subscribed to me the other day

I'm extremely confused.

I have an account just for watching videos but a long fucking time ago as Naruto was airing for some reason I liked to cut out fights and stuff and post them. A few videos got 100k plus views and eventually I it deleted everything because I was getting constant messages from people begging me to upload stuff. Still have people subscribed to me today and on the rare occasion get a message with an upload request.

good riddance, filming yourself playing shit video games is not a type of content that works for everyone and he deserves to fail for that

>that guy who did commentary-less lets plays but died and his dad is keeping his channel alive to honor him

Isn't that the guy who had over 100 videos of Gundam vs Zeta Gundam?

I remember that guy :(. I forgot his name thou. those 3 videos about his death got me

>made two Naruto amvs back in high school
>they have over two hundred thousand hits each now

SaikyoMog
A bunch of the videos use his gravestone as a thumbnail.

Randy Stair did that and he went on a fail shooting spree/suicide.

>Subscribe to account like this.
>Can't unsubscribe because they'll notice and get sad.

>make 100s of autistic videos that nobody really watched
>a couple get a few thousand views
>want to trim the channel down to just those and reinvent it some day, but too tired/lazy to sort through everything
lol oh well

I wonder if that’s why Shoenice had so many subs but he’s literally hated today.

Good. People should do Youtube shit because they enjoy it, not for money.

Monetizing Youtube was a mistake.

>this will end up being me

Out of pure curiosity started a channel. No clue what the fuck I am going to do with it. The videos have been getting some views but no one is subscribing or liking videos. Do I have to start doing commentary and just spout memes to fit in?

>That nerdy autistic girl who never gets more than 3,000 views per vid.

this

they should have to go back to having their own unique websites again, making you have like 10 sites you visit each day.

REMEMBER THOSE KIDS?!

That autist who never actually speaks with anyone but has a gaming channel where he does awkward voice overs on shit with low framerates.

I'd personally enjoy building an archive of my own recorded gameplay. Free cloud storage, even.

>10
yeah i fucking wish
i still have a dozen and that's far trimmed down in the last decade

Nice channel nerd

...

I remember when Youtube originally came out in 2005. The idea of just creating videos in itself was enjoyable. Nobody was trying to contest each other for views and it was basically do the fuck whatever because the idea of public uploading of videos was something crazy into itself. Now it's "Who can be the next 4,000,000 view Let's Player" when it really shouldn't be that at all whatsoever. Treat it as a hobby, don't try and obtain views for the sake of views.

>uploaded a shit quality video of my dog in 2006 for no reason other than to attempt uploading something to youtube

>gains hundreds of thousands of views

>75% dislike ratio

Got 'em

this

Shoe nice actually got money though. Maybe hes involved in some money laundering.

like you're totally deaf now?

Steal other peoples content and make money. Like pewdiepies.

Dan Gheesling

Who the fuck enjoys making music for no one?

That's capitalism for you. If Youtube's leadership knew, in 2005, how to turn the site into the clickbait-spawning revenue farm that it currently is, then they would have done it way back then. Even if they wouldn't have, then some other site would have, and Youtube would be to that site what Vimeo is to Youtube.

>Like one video from a channel
>Subscribe but never watch their video again
>Meanwhile I can't wait for certain people I'm subscribed to make the next video.

>That's capitalism for you.

Or rather just an immoral nation that's lost its value as it became slowly corporate Judified?

then how are you posting now larper

that's the end goal of capitalism you silly billy

I do...

>tfw made a tumblr to post video game reviews/discussions
>never got too much action because i dont promote or ask people to share my stuff
>recently wrote a piece on drakengard that interested people
Honestly even if its only 6 or so people reading your work, it can feel good if you arent doing it for money

>just post collections of items from games, sound clips and voice lines and such
>get lucky in the algorithms with come clickbait and good wording
>300k+ views on each video
>get around 300 dollars every month
neat

>only $300 with 300k+ views a month
You're doing something terribly wrong my friend.

Not 300k views a month you idiot

The only thing I find crazy is Youtube hosts all that shit, thousands of gigs, for free. That person don't get enough views for ad revenue, and uploading thousands of hours of gameplay. I wonder if the day will come again where youtube will 13min limit unpaid users. Course people probably forget when they limited it to like 8min. Now you can upload 10hour videos.

eff pee bee pee

Most videos aren't 30+ minute long 1080p videos, and storage is cheap. I could see them putting restrictions if Youtube somehow started losing money but that's not happening anytime soon

>started a channel recently
>put effort into edited, well made videos
>posted them around online, but get only a few dozen views at the most
>thought about giving it up, but get a comment on one of the videos one day
>says that they thought I was funny, that they liked the videos and they were looking forward to more
>that alone makes me want to never stop

Is this what real motivation feels like, guys? The thought of just one person out there watching something I make all the way through and enjoying it is enough to make me want to keep doing it.

Should contact that person and fuck

good on ya!

>the channel that has one series of videos with a fuckton of views but everything else has almost nothing
>they still upload videos regularly that get no real views

im gonna bite
who dis?

reminder youtube is owned by google and they sell your information

Maybe he is from poland

Just wait until you start getting random trolls and people subscribing just to dislike every post you make, I've got around 11k subs atm and trust me as much as positive comments are nice the negative ones stick to you.

stfu, i still remember that guy who uploaded a shitton of stalker's mods videos and watching him helped me to do some of the quests
the guy hadn't even 1k views i think but he still was useful to me

If that bother you, you might want to look into who actually owns Sup Forums now.

i never said anything other than a fact, youtube isnt hosting shit for (((free)))

>have an Instagram for all of my art
>get likes and comments from people saying they like it
>biggest support from small stable of close friends
>eventually they're bored, they've seen it all
>stop supporting me
>haven't made art in months despite knowing somebody might like it

I've considered suicide because with nobody to care, what's the fucking point

Make art and post it to threads here. People appreciate a drawfag.

>recently find a guy who plays tons of stalker mods
>Had a good mic, uploads in 1080p+ quality
>scared that he'll stop one day because he barely gets any views

You shouldn't rely in others for motivation that much.

>used to do vocaroo on Sup Forums years ago
>always did it anonymously for fun
>somebody linked me a youtube video of one of my clips
>has over 150k views
>dude making money off of it, got his channel super popular
>contacted him asking him for credit, not even to take the video down or anything
>never even sent me a reply
Not sure how I feel.

Link the fucking video

i made hundreds of porn edits and sprite comics for myself, because i like doing it for myself

>make videos whenever I want because no schedule to stick to
>get a rare view here and there but don't mind it because it's something nice to do when I feel like it
It's pretty chill. Been using my recent videos as a makeshift dream journal which I find nice despite getting sidetracked like a motherfucker trying to describe them.

post a link I love stalker but I cant play it myself due to my toaster oven.

His name is AL Gaming.

A youtuber I watch had something similar happen to him. What a shame.

>like smash 4
>upload my matches using the smash 4 upload system
>had about 200+ matches uploaded
>they killed the upload system along with miiverse
>cant post smash anymore
I miss it.

You're telling me you never recorded yourself doing dumb shit as a kid? That was definitely a pastime for me and some other kids I knew. At least now there's somewhere to actually put it where there's a slim chance somebody might actually watch it, as opposed to rotting in a box of family videos.

Well damn it's over 230k now.
youtube.com/watch?v=ahA9S-f2Vlg

>Have 3 videos on YT one was of a eel showing its extra set of jaws in it's mouth somehow got 10k views back in the day and YT gave me the option to monetize it.. I got paranoid cause I just reuploaded the video from another site and deleted it.

>Mfw there's entire channel dedicated to just that with millions of views now.

>I coulve been a pioneer. And filthy YouTube rich.

Good meme

I'm not an artist but I love to learn speedrunning strats for a lot of games and try them. I don't stream and I never actually do WR attemps but I find fun to learn and do this.

>Me, brother and friend recorded ourselves dancing as "dwarves" to songs from GTA
>Just checked
wew

Fuck off newfag.

Nothing can top the shape shifting master known as Jlink

Google actually loses money on Youtube.

That was pretty good.

>Source: my ass

oh this guy? youtube.com/channel/UCVTg6FuwxJGVMku7ZQjKFjQ

one video at 45k, second video a little over 1k, 800+ videos under 100 views.

(yeah i'm shilling, he's legit funny sometimes)

Honestly, I'm glad the internet didn't become popular for video uploading until I was already too old to do any of that. There'd be some dumb shit on the internet to find on me if so. Especially when my cousin and I used to pretend to be pro wrestlers.

businessinsider.com/youtube-still-doesnt-make-google-any-money-2015-2

>no views

Nice no information article from 3 years ago.

What's strange is one of the funnier ones I did never got that popular. Let me look for it. A friend sent me that one, too. Apparently they turned up in a Sup Forums thread a few years ago. I think I bookmarked them on an old browser in a moment of vanity. Found it.
youtube.com/watch?v=HYp41pHMmec

>not even he watched it

>2005 - 2006
>The idea of youtube is incredible
>Get drunk and make shitty 'parodies' of POKEMON VS NARUTO AMV etc
>Laugh and think it's fun
>check back a year ago
>500k views on one, 300k on another, others 80k+
>they're all so bad they might as well not even be parodies and people didn't think they were
Deleted so fucking fast

>Deleted them instead of making money
10/10 retarded
