>this edgy fuck is closer to being a metal gear solid game more than survive ever wishes to be.
Sad thought
It's also a better Metal Gear Solid game than Phantom Pain
and has better codec calls than mgs4
When are we getting a Metal Gear Fox game that takes place between TPP and MG?
actually this one made me drop on the series.. I knew there is no coming back after this and piece of shit walker. And i was correct. MGsurvive is at least better then mgsV
Sorry, but Survive is one of the best games ever made

Here's your (You)
Thats not a good thing tho
The further from the originals the better
Okay...?
Not everything needs a fucking game around it. God damn you think people would learn this after PW.
why is everything that is good dying???
That game is closer to being an MGS game than even V is, story and atmosphere-wise.
The absolute silliness of it all made me remember what I loved about MGS. It also made me realize that Kojima is not, in fact, needed for the franchise to continue.
Even Peace Walker has better Codec than 4
The fuck does PW have to do with anything? It was shit because of its shitty mission-based gameplay.
>$10 character slots in a retail game
Well hello soyboys
>Solidus will never have his own game set during the Liberian Civil War where he finds Jack and goes on a journey of personal discovery
>Raiden will never have his own game set during his brief, presumably booze-filled, stint working for the PLA to rescue Sunn
>Gray Fox will never have his own game and become an actual character
>Autismo Boss got 4-5 games and he ends up just being a pussy autismo faggot
>Man on Fire was literally gene therapy Volgin and not at the very least Python
God love Kojima, but what the actual fiery fuck
>story and atmosphere-wise
This. It perfectly captured everything that made Metal Gear, you know, Metal Gear.
It's a pretty short game but it has tons of memorable moments and characters. 200 hours into MGSV and we have Kaz talking about hamburgers I guess
It's objectively fun
>It also made me realize that Kojima is not, in fact, needed for the franchise to continue
Well, survive kind of points to the opposite
Because we didn't need a game between 3 and 1. And we certainly didn't need a game between PW and 1.
>Well, survive kind of points to the opposite
Not everything can be a winner. Also, Survive's worst sin was trying to be a serious work like MGSV and entirely lacking of the ridiculous shit MGS is known for.
Also it was a game nobody wanted and only exists because of corporate hacks.
MGR was made by talented people who actually cared.
We didn't need anything after MG either, but here we are. There was nothing wrong with the premise of fleshing out the rise and fall of Big Boss. They just handled it poorly.
>It also made me realize that Kojima is not, in fact, needed for the franchise to continue.
Ac!d and Ac!d2 are also good examples of it, but problably the team behind those two are cleaning toliets in konami's headquarters now
That's because Kojima and a skeleton crew still did some advisory shit for MGR.
Basically just there to to advise on cannon I believe, been some time since this info was relevant.
MGR was also made to be a fun game and not a mindless cash grab, which always helps.
I’d say they’re pretty equal on characters. Kaz and Huey are decently memorable, they’re just pieces of an unfinished puzzle.
Armstrong and Sam are memorable, but the story they inhabit isn’t inherenty as interesting as themselves, and neither of them get enough time to shine.
Codecs haven’t been good since MGS2. MGS3 had some classics, but it also had a lot of dumb fucking shit and 3’s intel team was gay as fuck.
That being said I cannot for the life of me remember MGR’s FOX. It was a black dude, a titty blonde science lady, and that Russian dude. They were like a B movie cast of stereotypes, which was unfortunate given the subject content and Raiden playing the semi-depressed straight man.
Basically fuck MGS. The characters all went to shit. I mean fuck, The Boss is in general regarded as a good character. Can’t salvage that kind of shit.
$40 game
>That's because Kojima and a skeleton crew still did some advisory shit for MGR.
Kojima himself wasn't, but he did mention he approved of it (even if it wasn't what he would have done.)
We don't any MGS games, period. They're entertainment.
Huh i could have sworn he did some basic answering of "is this alright?" sort of deal.
But again, been forever since i read up on mgr's development so you're probably right.
