DL girls literally fucking disappear from the story after you recruit them. I legit forgot Hawzel was even still alive until I went to save Hornet and then she disappears after that for the rest of the game unless you do meal tickets or get the 31% Arios kill scene

Either way you're ignoring the entire team building aspect, the combo system, using certain medal bonuses in tandem with each other, and that you progressively learn more as you play.

Lies, every named character that's in the game gets scenes, most are just in text.

It's only gacha if you pick the bonus of "any card can come from any chest", otherwise the game actually uses a small set of cards for each chest for specific areas, and gold chests for story always contain the same cards.

You're not supposed to beat the game in one try, just like Kichikuou and Sengoku. All 3 games are built around understand that certain events happen at certain times and how you trigger them.

There are extremely few new characters at all, most of the "new" ones are just carryovers from Kichikuou. The 100% new ones are like...3 characters.

The ones I was thinking of were Nimitz/Lexington, Nunuhara and Kurobe and they're all basically irrelevant.

DL girls + Hornet basically do nothing after you recruit them, JAPAN characters aren't even available for most of the game outside of the ones who are actually on the Continent participating on the various fronts and even they don't do much. Kenshin for some reason is totally skippable/missable for reasons I don't understand and Isoroku falls into the "Not available for more than 1/2 the game" camp.
And the girls who don't get actual CG scenes don't even get proper text scenes, just fade to black.

Why would I save Silky? Not only does she get raped but you miss out on all of the apostles/extra characters from Hawzel/Seizel. She brings literally nothing except herself.

Lexington was in Rance IV. Though the demon you fight named Lexington isn't REALLY Lexington. Kurobe was in the backstory of Sengoku.

Nunuhara is basically irrelevant yes, but she's mainly there to catch you up to speed if you've forgotten anything in the series.

I also forgot to mention Ho-Raga, KD, and some other characters that for all intents and purposes could have been major NPCs are instead just there for ??? node events. Oh and Ithere, Albert and Megalass don't appear even though their blood souls were left in play and Megalass was just unceremoniously killed off screen.

If they wanted me to save her they should've had an additional incentive like an extra character or extra h-scene with Rance to offset being damaged goods and a strictly inferior choice gameplay wise.

Ho-Raga being a major plot character goes against his entire point of the character.
