Because you can't stabilize your weapons on surfaces unless you have bipods. Goddamn Red Orchestra had this years ago, so why not Squad?

I like Squad, it's become my favorite FPS to play, but fuck am I burned out on it. I've got 760 hours on it and I need to take a few months off from this game. Ver. 10 is great though.

Some brazilian made a video in surplus military gear with no plates and an airsoft gun trying to prove they should add additional prone rolling and movement.

Then the dev got in his full military gear and video taped himself trying to do it.

It'll be a lot less fun. If you just don't like talking on the mic, you don't have to often, but saying yes or no occasionally is the minimum.

the bipod is a game changer.

I own Arma 3.
It's a pile of trash and nobody plays it for the regular combat mode. And king of the hill is glorified cod.
Its shit, crap, dirt, just god awful.

And I can run it maxed out fyi and it still sucks.

But not all factions have the same gear. Another thing that's missing is the ability to dive from a sprint into prone. As it is now, you can't actually rush forward, which considering the game, is pretty fucking stupid.

PR is good.

But in order for the game to proliferate, they have to accommodate.

This. I just played a round where the squad lead was doing a phenomenal job (other than being liberal with the kick feature), but people just wouldn't listen, other squad wouldn't communicate, so he ended up ragequitting in just ten minutes.

There's thousands of casual shooters out there that already accomodate. I've already watched Red Orchestra be ruined because of this and I'd loathe Squad to face the same fate.

Because it's genuinely trash compared to PR.

And that's the way it should be. Squad might be relatively casual, but it still very much rewards proper skills and knowledge. The only issue is that the average player right now is far too stupid and inept to actually play the game properly. Wish there was some kind of boot camp tutorial for all the newfags and morons.

The game needs a suppression system. Devs are working on a prototype atm, but didn't show it in yesterdays monthly recap. I'm not playing the game again until they improve on that front.
Also, the spawning system is flawed and turn each match into a ww1 meatgrinder.

if you have a shitty squad/team, it's awful. I don't have time to do organized clan play. I can consistently have more fun in Rising Storm 2 because there I can carry to a degree and don't have to wait 10 minutes for a firefight.

God I love LMG's in these games I would buy this game just for that, its all I did in insurgency and other games was hold choke points and flanks for team and just mow people

Just about as good a use as any for it. All fragmentation radius is far too short in game, so all HE/FRAG is shit. Mortars especially are next to worthless right now unless you're trying to bombard directly on a FOB.

this game is popular with Europeans because it gives them the sense of community they used to have.
gameplay is dogshit, no reason to play this game if you're not lonely.
