>Obsidian's new but old fashioned role-playing game Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire has been delayed a month on PC. Rather than come out 3rd April it will now be released 8th May.

Overall the story is rather meh. I think the 'historical accuracy' factor/setting detracts from the game. You do nothing but fight bandits and cumans all game long, it just gets stale, and there's nothing to really explore.

I didn't mind the fights themselves, it was easy enough to just hang back and fuck everyone up now that I had bow skill levelled up so high. What bothered me more was the lack of any kind of reactivity or player agency in those last few bits. Then the weird epilogue sequence and then the long ass horse ride with hans where he just regurgitates everything you just saw 2 minutes ago.
