I just started playing rance, I started with sengoku since that seems to be the one everyone says to start with.
and it's really pretty mediocre. The combat is just boring, the sex scenes are fucking horrible, like 2 cgs for 80 text boxes horrible. I wish I could just skip the shit. One of the few porn games where the game is better than the porn, because the porn is just horrible.

I probably will. I was just really disappointed. I was expecting really deep from rance since everyone always said it was a great game, and it's just inoffensive instead. The story is fun, the characters are nifty, and have their own identities (for the most part), but as a whole package it's just... Meh.

Sengoku Rance is an extremely autistic game. You have to put a long time into it to get a real payoff. It's not the lightweight VN you'd assume. It's got like 60 hours of content.
