The writing was shit and the game was slow, but it still actually made me feel something in the end. I felt real connection to the characters. Knowing what was going to happen to Rachel made me feel like shit for Chloe. Then Chloe ends up getting fucking shot after losing her dad and her only friend and spending years in isolation, just fucking sucks.
I don't know what it is about these games, but they turned me into a little bitch.

Because Before the Storm was made by a different dev. I liked LiS but hated the dumb "dialogue battle" stuff in BTS. The game is good quality fanfic. They nailed some of the things but also made some poor choices. Overall, it's still enjoyable if you liked LiS.
