I played the first one, pretty charming

I tried playing it but after about an hour in the dungeon I got pretty bored.

Destrega on PS1

This looks a lot like blade and sword by the same company.
Is it any good?

I last played it like a decade ago, so I honestly couldn't tell you. I remember it being fun though, and it had a pretty good soundtrack

how is it?

Hello fellow Medabots fan! Although yeah I only remember playing the GBA games.

Wait a minute. Does this game have a fan translation now? Is it good?

Isn't it cheating if it was never released outside Japan?

nope
is it?
i just downloaded the psp rom from the internet, I know japanese good enough to get through most of it, it's not very difficult

GrimGrimoire on the ps2, by the people who made Odin Sphere.
I really liked it but it's weird.
It's an RTS on a 2D tower-like plane, you build shit, recruit units, and send them upstairs to fuck up towers/enemies/buildings etc. but it's really more focused on its VN story.

In the end I felt both fell pretty short, the story is barebones even though the ending was kinda cool, the characters are nice but not explored and the gameplay is a mobile game basically.

But something about it was very charming that I finished it in one go, it's very nice besides being halfbaked, just for the feel of it.

this game's real good
go play it

I played this. Not great.

Not great.

I own the game but haven't played it.

Get on my level
I miss this game

Attached: image.png (1920x1080, 2.45M)

It was flawed but I like this game an awful lot probably partially because I played it with yuri goggles on
Seconding this.

Back when I was a depressed NEET, I started learning how translate games, and I wanted to start with the old Medabots/rots games.

Now that I'm not, I don't have the time for that kind of stuff, unfortunately...or fortunately?

>a games only you played thread with actual obscure games
Nice to see, usually these threads are the same few semi known cult classics

Attached: shadow gunner.jpg (640x638, 65K)

Liked this a lot.

Blazblue is the closest thing I've found to it

I bought it because I saw it on ebay and I thought the name was funny.

Was it worth it?

I played this and its predecessor, Prince of Qin. Still have my physical copy of Seal

It was a pretty fun game for $8 or so. Now it's ludicrously expensive.

Magic pengel a quest for color
was made with help from Ghibli, you get paint and you can draw a 3d monster that you fight with

There was also a sequel called graffiti kingdom

Attached: magic pengel.png (1138x687, 589K)

I've played ad finished this. Kinda meh but a nostalgia game for me.

That sounds pretty fucking cute, nigga. I'm gonna check it out.

Jade cocoon is also another game made with Ghibli, too bad the sequel sucked dick.

Bombastic
a game you need to fucking try hard to even make show up in the searches.
youtube.com/watch?v=m4Xk7-d5nt8
It's really nice though if you're into dice puzzles/bomberman style gameplay

Attached: bombastic.jpg (1920x1080, 144K)

Friend of mine bought a GC just to play this

Attached: ..jpg (900x720, 71K)

really fun

my childhood right here

Man when I think I have seen every fucking PS2 game ever.
Its made by Namco and I never ever heard the name before!

It's also a sequel to another ps2 game called Seven.

Found out that Vib-Ribbon had 2 freaking sequels
Mojib-ribbon which was about rapping and Ripple with trampoline jumping

Good series that no one talks about.

>tfw no PAL release

But why would you want to play in 50 fps?

Except everyone on /u/ knows of it because of their blatant faggotry.

they dont make games like these anymore

Great game. The little robot is the best.

At least post the 3rd one that's still untranslated
I beat it years ago and it was amazing, I just wish I understood what they were saying

Attached: P154Uic.jpg (499x316, 65K)

Loved this game.

I keep meaning to get back into this game. I played it once many years ago and loved it but never went further.

Attached: 1397699260437.jpg (800x800, 85K)

I played it, it has one of the best script in gaming history but the gameplay is a real chore after a while

>sequel on 3DS never actually got made
It still hurts

Really?
I thought the gameplay was the best part.
Is it connected to 7?

The setting is the same but the writers are completely different and there is no connection story-wise except for some reference.

Venus&Braves was written by Natori by the way (Drakengard 1 and 3, Nier, Tales of Eternia), it's considered as her best script by her fans

amazing game

I guess I'll need to take a look at the script translation at one point.

Well, technically a fuckton of people played it because it was originally an arcade game but I never saw anybody saying anything about it on Sup Forums. Someday I just picked a ROM at random on my SNES folder and couldn't stop playing until I beat it, it's an insanely addictive puzzle game.

Enjoyment went up 200% when I realized it was structured like an anime.

i played the psp remake if that counts

I bought it because I found the LE for cheap so many years ago and was intrigued by it, but I didn't get much more than an hour in. I think it was too much for me to comprehend at the time. I would have not known much of the language at that point.
Xi Jumbo is better. You probably would find more by searching under Xi Go.

I played this on a /vr/ Gauntlet before. Wasn't really digging it.
