There's literally no games (in exception of xbox ports like gears and quantum break, which both run horrible thanks to the retarded way UWP works) that are Windows 10 exclusive. There's also no games released yet that take advantage of DX12.

I'm avoiding 10 because it tries to install drivers without permission. I have a laptop I upgraded on to see what it was all about. It entered an infinite loop of installing an incompatible driver, crashing to restart, failing to load, loading the last restore point, and trying to install the driver again. No way to stop it on the home version. Jumped it back to 8.1 (original os)

Windows 10 is the future.
This is just where things are heading. You want something, you gotta give something in return. Every sci-fi that had teleporters, holograms and all that shit never presented the more realistic part of all these inventions, which is that ever-present obscure price you have to pay for these creations. After all, a costumer buying a product from a company is not a situation in which both parties are on equal ground - most of the time, at least - since the costumer will almost always get ripped off by the latter.
This is no critique, it's just the way things are. The sensible solution here for those opposed to this way in which the world is turning is, at least how I see it, to contribute as much as possible to open-source and free software projects and foundations and so on, to spread the word, to help newbies and to develop fixes. The more the community grows, the better chances of seeing more of it in the future or of seeing it at all.

thinking of buying a new PC, i'm leaning towards a 5820k/win7 build atm, because skylake is shitty with windows 7 and in NZ getting a 4790k would be a huge pain (plus the mobos are all gone)
I'm waiting for a few games to come out that'll likely use DX12 and enterprise seems to fix most of the things wrong with windows 10, thoughts?

people here say telemetry cannot be completely switched off hence the packet sniffer idea.
i heard of a programme called anti beacon that could help. i dont use it because i simply hate closed source and,... well,... microsoft in general. look, windows is good... (it fucking should be with the pricetag), but its simply not worth the money for me considering what i actually use my computer for.
