WHY THE FUCK IS BUILDING GUI SO FUCKING HARD? IM LITERALLY PULLING MY HAIR OUT. NOTHING FUCKING WORKS AND IT LOOKS LIKE SHIT.
Just gonna leave gui to retarded hipsters now
>GUI, NOT EVEN ONCE

>nothing works
I dunno man, what are you using that doesn't work? Google the shit out of the issue

>looks like shit
take care of that after you get the UI working, pressing buttons. Padding is your friend here. Find some other UI that looks good and copy it.

Why bother? Loonix tards enjoy writing line codes into the terminal, harder is better for then

Just go open source so that whenever anyone complains about the shit UI you can tell them how free it is

I got it to work after spending 5 hours on trying to attach a fxml and css sheet to my project because it wasnt loading due to packages using "." instead of "/". Is it normal to not know shit and having to stackoverflow everything?

im doing it for a personal project.

Also general question, do interviewers care about GUI if your trying to add a personal project to your resume? This is for an internship

underrated

>using the terminal is hard
Winkids ladies and gentlemen

>writing archaic desktop software
the future is WEB
you just need to include 4mb of javascript in every page

>4mb of
only?

fucking lol'd

>Is it normal to not know shit and having to stackoverflow everything?
It's either that or you read the docs, stackoverflow tends to be quicker desu.

Read the HIG of the platform you're developing for and adapt to it. It's that simple.

>CODEMONKEY HAS NO IDEA HOW DESIGN WORKS
GEE WHAT A SURPRISE.

INTUITIVE? WHAT'S THAT? A GAY APPLE BUZZ WORD.

>not using the simple yet beautiful JavaFX SceneBuilder

all this salt man
did some freetard install gentoo on your gf or something?

Use C++ with qt designer, it's pretty easy to do.

Qt
Drag and drop widgets

Just use java and Netbeans desu.

Easy as your crush at the club.

>JavaFX SceneBuilder
stopped reading there

not OP and I know qt already etc etc but I always wonder
how efficient is QT creator? is that ricing your GUI like fuck or is it minimalistic? Can't judge because I never wrote something like that from scratch and when I look at the guides to do it from scratch I get turbo canceraids

>Easy as your crush at the club.
I came here to shitpost and not to get suicidal thoughts

what do you mean

You can do Qt in 3 ways
qt quick
all code
qt designer (drag/drop) + code

Qt also has a stylesheet like css which you can use to customize it

I know this feeling very well.

Keep at it, you're doing fine.

>stopped reading
>at end of post
Congratulations, I guess.

how new are you?

Please lurk for 2 more years before ever commenting again.

>being this butthurt

no u

>n-no u
Lurk more faggot

making a gui isn't so hard.
if I can do it, so can you! =)

OP, use JavaFX, it's easy, it's fast and it's beautiful.

well yes that is generally what you do at the end of the post

>he doesn't read posts starting at the end

That's how you get trolled.

its ok senpai. i still love you

Use Visual Studio broseph.

wpf still is the greatest thing in all of creation. Too bad the windows retards couldn't read enough documentation to learn how to use it and it is legacy at this point.

So cluttered

We need something like React for the desktop. inb4 electron or some shit like that.

>not using QT Creator master race.

>not building a GUI with web technologies.
