two of my standoffs aren't in 100%, but the mobo isn't touching the case. would this still prevent it from booting?

I have a few.

1. There is a router that has usb port on it and you can practiaclly make a NAS out of a pendrive. Is it possible the make a live usb linux drive, make it as NAS and boot a few comps connected through ethernet with it?
Can I just install like 4 pcs at one time with one drive through network?

2. If the network part of the mobo is completely fucked, how can a usb to ethernet adapter would work? What would be the MAC if the card is seriously utterly fucked?

3. Normal mobos usually only have 1 ethernet port. Can you just setup a server on it and use it as dhcp and other shit using the ethernet as an input(from the ISP) and a usb to ethernet adapter as the output to a router?

What is the best method for creating a database/back-end for a website and implementing it? Security-wise? Speed-wise? Like a user account for example with sensitive information.

I've seen it done with Java-XML, JS-HTML-PHP-SQL, etc etc.

What languages should I be using to write my back-end and why? I know Java and I've done the JS-PHP-SQL route before. I want to know which one experienced webdevs recommend and why.

Firebase
look it up and you'll know why

I use git for version control.

Let's say I use GPL-licensed code in my programs during early development before replacing it with my own code more tailored for my specific purposes.

If I then distribute my software and make the git repository available to users, does my software have to be GPL? There is no GPL-licensed code in the released version, but the repository still contains it and one could checkout a version which includes it.

I really don't want some company's API or drag n drop bullshit. I just want to know what language combination provides the best security, speed, and ease of testing.

My headset mic is decent but my pc makes a lot of noise. I use equalizers and compressors to make the quality better and remove noise for my vids in premiere pro, but is there an audio program that lets me do this in real time while using teamspeak or skype?

I need a free website to upload and manage less than 10MB of data! Need suggestions because I have no idea who good hosts are.
I have a few pieces of small software for a small and personal userbase (~ 50 users at best), that I previously used Dropbox for.
The software has the ability to update itself by checking a fixed dropbox link for the current version number, and then downloads the new .exe from a different dropbox link. If automatic updates are enabled, it only checks once a day, and only if the software is launched.
This has worked fine for about 1 year, but now they have blocked all my dropbox files because they generate too many requests.

I need a new service to provide the following:
1. Control over which file is hosted on which URL. I want to be able to update the file in an URL without changing the URL, so that I can change the current version number for example.
2. Direct download links like example.com/example.txt, so that ONLY the file is downloaded from the URL. No file hoster that has download buttons please, as this won't work.
Bonus points for custom URL, but not neccesary

ok it's been awhile since I've done a windows install for anyone, but I'm doing one now for my moms, what are some essentials for a new install of windows? I"ve got the ninite front covered but want to make sure I don't miss anything. also what's a good lightweight av that jest werx?

Why wouldn't you use github for this?

I never used github before. Does it allow hosting .exe files updating their links?
I thought it's only for working on sourcecode together.

that's an iffy situation user, your best bet would be to just remove the gpl code from your git even if it breaks the previous version. it's one of those things that could go either way and if some autist decides to press the issue it'd have to go before a judge or a mediator or something to get resolved cause there's no clear answer

just a heads up, you might want to read github tos/code of conduct before deciding to go that way

this really is a stupid question

how the fuck does usb ethernet adapters work anyway?

I want to learn Java for the sole purpose of creating android apps/games. Should I learn Java (console) first or can I dive straight into learning java through app development?

Also what Java learning resources would you reccommend

How can i set up a local DNS on windows?
I'm on botnet 10

Do I flash the custom recovery first or do I encrypt the phone first after flashing a factory image?

after encrypting you won't be able to flash anything else, so flash the recovery first.

> you won't be able to flash anything else
Clarification: I will still be able to adb push though, right?

SELECT product_id, region_id, count(order_date)

Aside from the lack of a semicolon, is there a syntax error in this?

>install Windows 10
>black screens for 4 hours with random rebooting in between
>loads up eventually
>change initial settings
>log in
>display is fucked
>restart
>black screen again
>no cursor, no response, nothing
Did they even test this shit?

We tried to warn you

It's working for me.

You will need to delete your current repo, and make a new one with your new license.
Yout might want to look in to the MIT or Apache license for the time being, and switching to gpl later on.

How do I run teamspeak on a raspberry pi?

download server
install server
run server

I don't think you can select count and not mention it either in the group by or order by, but that might vary by server

Doesn't work like that actually, it won't start because ts isn't ARM, so I need to emulate

I use my work laptop at home, and one of the things I always plug in is a blu ray player via SATA/USB bridge, maybe once a week the drive doesn't show up anywhere in windows (computer / device manager), and the only way to get it to show up is to just keep unplugging it and plugging it back in and eventually it will work, but it takes ages.

What could cause this, or how could I debug the issue?

With HTML and Javascript can I make a form that takes a line from a local file and uses it as input for an action like a search engine query?

Are turboshaft powered pneumatics with a variable flow valve precise enough for wearable robotics?

My friend keeps kicking this scrapyard iron man concept around and I keep telling him the test rig'll snap his arm off because of a miscalibrated valve and a jerky actuation curve

He says it's gotta be pneumatic for SAR and "field operations" and can't rely on a turboshaft to noncompressible fluid compressor like sarcos is trying to do

This thing is slated to weigh three quarters of a ton and he's ready to take out a small business loan just to try, please help me tell him this is insane and will ruin his financial future with nothing but a broken dream to show for it

I'm only here asking because some anons blew his concept off and it pushed him into mad science mode and he says even with a triple check and conferring with some mechanics at his factory that it's safe enough to try. Please help.

Macbook air for £550?

Decent deal y/n?

Javascript can't read files on the client's computer ever under any circumstances because that would be pants on head retarded.

You could read a file with a server-side javascript runtime though, like node.js.

I just got stood up for the third time in a row.

Neocities.

Why are GPUs making huge advances every couple years, yet current CPUs are on par with the i7-2600k which is almost 6 years old?

Thanks, that's also what I came up with.
I'm almost done with it. Now all I need is a place to upload my .exe files to, because neocities only allows that when you pay.
My only requirement is that the files are in a direct link, with no download button or anything. I've found a few websites, and they work, but firefox and chrome block those sites for web forgery. So I can't use those.

GPU's are Hueg while CPU's are little

I mean, a stupid suggestion is to make your own. Doesn't have to be that dynamic since it's just for you and you can make it however

Looking for Dell XPS case, with the color changing LED lights. Desktop.

I have zero experience with web development, I can't run any server on my home connection, and I don't wanna rent a server and pay money for this small hobby project.
Otherwise I would.
Well I only need an exe file uploader, then I'm done with it.

i have installed opera, everything is perfect except i got used to use tab switching with keybindings such as ctrl shift tab and ctrl tab. but in opera its not like in chrome or firefox. its not following tab order its just randomly following tabs i need to press keys until i hit right tab. is there anyway to solve this?

one of my earbuds is significantly lower volume than the other, is there anyway to decrease the volume in the loud one so they are the same?

When you install USB device it will identify/install as a network device and then attach to the TCP/IP network stack. Don't ask for specifics because I am not a CS guy but this is what the programing behind it would result in.

The USB to ethernet adapter (physical device itself) would have a MAC address.

However because the external network data is sent into the device itself, and then sent into the motherboard via USB from the device, Windows needs drivers to understand the USB data that comes through (as with all USB devices.)

This is why, whilst USB ethernet adapters work, they don't work outside of your operating system, as the BIOS does not have code that can handle USB network adapters. There are tons of different manufactuers and models and there is no standard for the interface of USB ethernet adapters (infact that was the point of USB) so a BIOS would not know what the fuck to do with that data (Windows only does because of the drivers.) So you can't PXE boot etc from a USB ethernet adapter.

Hope this sheds some light.
Think of how you can create virtual network adapters in things like hyperV / VMware.
They dont actually exist, but they all bind to a physical network adapter. No reason that can't be a physical USB device.

If you're doing it over USB though not only are the devices slower (running at USB standards) but also you now have a bunch of overhead as your little device tries to translate data link packets into USB data and then Windows translates it back. Not a good idea!

So?
Cross compile it

You will need music player with panning option for that.

Find the local broker and setup a sale

oh cool. theres probbaly a foobar plugin which can do that, i'll take a look thanks

What is the GNU/Linux equivalent of Windows' .exe? I know that nearly everything in UNIX/UNIX-like systems can be executable, but what is the most accessible form for a fully compiled program?

Second question: what format do the GCC compilers compile into? ELF?

I just checked, if you use music bee, its got it by default next to volume control.

there is none, extensions in linux decide how file is going to be executed. like sh is executed in bash

Any geek squad workers here? Thinking of applying for a part time position as "advanced repair technician" as a 2nd job for weekends and early morning. Pay rate is abysmal at like $12.50 but I'm taking this job merely as an "on the books" experience builder for when I complete my BA degree, I'll have something.

I have an Associates in Network Administration, A+ cert, and over 5 years experience working with, building, troubleshooting PCs etc. My people skills are good as well.

Input? I'm 24 as well so does age matter? I work a very well paying job now but it's blue collar work and can't see myself doing this for the rest of my life so moving slowly into IT.

How do I mount an HFS+ drive in NetBSD?

I'm pretty sure you just have to give the array a name. T is just the typename.

It's done by reference so that way it doesn't create an entire copy of it just to pass to the function.

>asking the real question
so i can use an usb-ethernet adapter to hack like mad and just throw it away since the mac is not tied to my pc but to my adapter? Kappa

>moving slowly into IT

Possibly the saddest four words in the English language.

Hey man I got a late start. Started working blue collar work at 19 for $28/hr. Money was good so never bothered looking to leave. Only now do I realize I hate this job so I'm looking at my options. Geek squad and similar seems the easiest to start in with most flexible hours.

Is this horrible, depressing model 2 crap how web applications are usually done in Java or is this obsolete?

Can't I do everything with Servlets or with JSPs?

Can you recommend me any tutorial/book for modern java web programming?
Thank you.

>$12.50/hr
>abysmal
Why would you go in to hardware,if you're going in to netadmin?
Stay in your retail simply for the money, and get your BA and work on your CCNA certs.

An extended family member has no problem using Windows Vista but is totally confuddled by Windows 10.

Is there a way to simplify Windows 10 down or make it emulate Windows Vista/7 beahviour?

I don't use either so I'm not sure exactly what the problem is.
