Notepad++ but with simple auto-complete

Notepad++ but with simple auto-complete.

What IDE fits that distinction?

Using an editor who can't indent.

It's still faster then a few of the other graphical IDE's iv tried. Takes forever to just open and SO many features I will never use. I just want something simple and fast for quickly writing python.

Have you heard about emacs?

I want graphics, speed and basic auto-complete. That's it.
It feels like I'm asking for a miracle.

>graphics
What for? You want to do python
>speed
emacs
>basic
emacs

>>graphics
>What for?
Easier to read.
Mousing through code is faster and you can't convince me otherwise.

Also I use nano. Because i'm a scrub.

Emacs is a graphical application. What kind of "graphics" are you talking about?

Use PyCharm for real Python development. Here are really good keybindings preconfigured that are similar to Sublime Text's: github.com/ShawnMcCool/PHPStorm-SpacePeacock

Alternatively use Sublime Text 3 evaluation edition with Anaconda Python plugin, if you really don't want a good IDE.

Notepad++ style graphics.

I want notepad++, with basic auto complete.

>style graphics
What's that?

what the fuck does style graphics mean.
Do you want themes like notepad++ has? Obisidian and similiar?
I'm not familiar with emacs but it should be possible

>PyCharm
That's exactly what I'm trying to avoid.

Thing took 2 minutes just to load and I was overwhelmed by all the shit it threw up on screen. I'm not a pro python developer. I'v never written python before. My background is in C#.

I just want something simple to write my hello worlds and simple loops in that will automatically close my brackets for me.

Use fucking emacs you fucking moron.

VisualStudio, Geany

PyCharm community edition, and whit a bit of configuring you can make it look like a regular editor.

Then use Sublime Text

Literally this.
No built in file explorer, no millions of buttons, no 20 menus.
Just this.

Ok. How. How do you enable auto complete in emacs, cause iv tried it before and I had a hard time just saving the file.

> wants a simple editor
> people suggest emacs
> ignores literally every good advice

Just go fuck yourself OP.

>auto complete in emacs
M-/

>PyCharm community edition
Holy shit. Thank you. That's exactly what I want. I didn't think there was that big a difference between the Pro version and community but wow.

Well glad you came around, this makes my little rant seem unjustified.

I actually have a valid student pro-license, but I prefer Community edition because I hate all the bloat that pro brings.

>I actually have a valid student pro-license, but I prefer Community edition because I hate all the bloat that pro brings.

That's exactly what I did. The pro version is so off putting to new users.

Kate

And completely unneeded too. I'm not a new user by any means and I've never needed or craves the Pro-edition features.

It's mostly for web-development and some specialized support for libraries.

Atom

atom.io maybe?

atom.io/

Geany, CodeBlocks

Notepad2 maybe?
Sublime maybe?

Which OS do you use?

what's up with the SS13 gifs bruv

sublime 2 with linting plugin for language of need

Is there no plugin for autocomplete? I thought Notepad++ had a ton of plugins

Thanks I will look at all of these.

Win/Linux

It's a fun game.

it's called sublime text

Visual Studio, the free version.
