2017

>2017
>still no proper browser or torrent client
Why

How is the future mate? Trump president?

Becoming a cute girl is even better.

>what is firefox
>what is qbittorrent/transmission etc.

step it up senpai

>you will never become a cute girl

firefox is a bag of dicks, crashes when I open a mere 30 tabs and browse for 3 hours

nice bait, here's your (You)

I've accepted this fact with sadness in my heart.

>opening more than 6 tabs at all
fucking christ

>Not using Vuze
Stay pleb

also check em, my next will be quads

that's a fail

>nekomimi
>fox ears and tail
fuck you GTN

>you will never be a qt girl

>Have more than 300 *booru tabs open
>Leave for hours/days because it takes too long to find the good pictures again
>Firefox taking 5GB RAM
>Never crashed
Works on my machine.

>tfw no proper browser since 2013

we can all be cute girls in our hearts

>not since the incident :^)

Too soon man.
Too soon.

>what is rtorrent+icecat

>using the smiley with a carat nose

>>still no proper browser
Because HTML+JS is a shit language pair, and therefore HTML+JS interpreters will always be shit.
>>or torrent client
Because no one needs a torrent client in 2016. All the corpcuck software you'd have pirated in 2009 is free and makes it's money by selling your information now.
>inb4 unironic implication that torrents were ever useful for anything other than pirating

Do people ever respond to you?

>torrents are only good for software that costs money
That's not even 1% of the torrents I've downloaded

i dont care

What did I miss?

>you'll never be properly fucked by faceless bald men

Firefox is an awesome browser.

My concern is more for a proper operating system. Linux can not do everything I need it to. Windows started turning to shit since Vista and it's not getting better and Mac OS isn't even to consider.

Write one yourself.
I generally don't open 30 tabs, but I do have Firefox open all the time. I'd say on average I have Firefox open for 7 to 14 days before I close it. I'm on Linux though.
>Because HTML+JS is a shit language pair, and therefore HTML+JS interpreters will always be shit.
I don't know what his actual complaint about Web browsers is, but I'm guessing it's security issues (chrome botnet), shitty layout/design (Firefox copying chrome), crashing issues (Firefox supposedly, although it doesn't happen to me), more recently a lack of customization like custom add-ons.
Literally all of these problems could be solved by writing a Web browser yourself.

Obviously you do not consume a lot of porn.

>chrome botnet
I am so sick of everyone saying that and not explaining what they mean. HOW IS CHROME A BOTNET? ACTUALLY ANSWER ME.

It autoupdates without even asking you, it installs new software on your PC without asking you, it has root/admin level access to your system, to install new software, silently, without your permission.

There are a few issues with this

If we assume for a second that google isn't completely benign, they aren't trying to do anything malicious - it's still a massive security hole, if a malicious actor can take control of your running instance of Chrome, they can take your entire PC and chrome is FULL of 0day security bugs.

Then there is of course the fact that Google have a less than stellar ethical record too, it wouldn't be above them to install spyware on your PC and to sell metrics for adverting among other things.

It's a 'botnet' because it can and does install new software on your machine without asking or even showing you.

>It autoupdates without even asking you,
Okay.

>it installs new software on your PC without asking you,
When did that ever happen?

>it has root/admin level access to your system, to install new software, silently, without your permission.
Software never really has admin level access to your system unless you grant it. What do you mean exactly?

Because corporate greed fucking ruins everything.

>can all be cute girls in our hearts
Not you can't but you can make yourself look cute.
