Every version of android lags even stock besides 1,
Offical non-Pajeet CyanogenMod

Touchwiz/Android :^)

>TouchWiz not lagging

Samsung devices certainly won't.

Tfw 2 year old Moto X 2nd Gen doesn't lag

it's a samsung with verizon botware

what were you expecting?

>verizon
gross

>Samsung
>Verizon
This is why. Order a Nexus device directly from googs (via play store) and you'll never buy a carrier phone again.

>inb4 I'm too poor for a phone without a payment plan

>smartphone
>quad core
>4 gigs of ram
>clocked at almost 3GHZ

I should probably get around to upgrading my computer, but Zen still isn't out yet.

the only other carrier that doesn't have shit tier coverage is at&t

tmobile is a meme that only works if you're in a city

This is why I went to the iphone, I loved android so much ever since the Tmobile G2, but man I just couldn't stand it not being snappy at all times. I normally don't mind stuff like that but with a mobile device, the annoying factor is amplified because you just wanna check something really quick.

Also it's definitely touchwiz, I really wish that when you first boot the phone it has the option for stock android instead of the manufacturer skin.

>not living in a city

Forget it user, people not on Verizon will never understand why we put up with Verizon's shit.

you can get the 5x and 6p with 0% financing from google

unfortunately the "best coverage" meme is true

their coverage is so ridiculous the small farm village where I grew up has 4G now

t-mobile is starting to get a lot better thanks to the 700mhz spectrum block it recently purchased from verizon

Dude, I can't even remember the last time I dropped a call my family has been with they for nearly 10 years.
Good for T-Mobile, but they have a long way to go to catch up the fuck huge monster that is Big Red.

This is true. Still doesn't compete with Verizon's ridiculous network.

I had T-Mobile for a month, and it was pretty good when it worked, but when I went home for a break, my phone was showing connection to USA Comm-Net because I was out of the normal coverage area. Meanwhile, my brother on Verizon was showing 2 bars of LTE. I'm just waiting for them to continue improving so I can get off Verizon again :|

I'm using Android 6.0 on a galaxy s3 and it hasn't lagged one bit.

Looks like the apple shills are out in full force.

>Blu phone
>meh processor
>2GB RAM
>No lag anywhere

*shrug*

> >still lags
Source: Your ass.

>still lags
?

>using the smiley with a carat nose

>Redmi Note 3 Pro

No lag, doesn't heat up like the octa Snap Dragon phones, can play heaviest 3D shit thats currently out.

First gen moto g (2013) and first gen nexus 7 (2012), both marshmallow, no lag here

I too have had s7 edge, it does lag sometimes but what pissed me off was googlr mail app crashing and skype. Now I went back to iPhone 6s+

Might try Android again in 5 years.

At least it doesn't lag as much as iOS.

>inb4 apple denialists

Problem with Nexus is it's ugly as fuck. Both of them.

>he fell for the "more RAM, less lag" meme

Android's fundamental flaw is the language it was written in, which is Java. I'm not an Apple user, but we know that iOS is lag free and offers a better day to day performance than Android. That's because it was written in C (C++, Objective C). What needs to happen to Android is a complete overhaul. Every new Android device should be a 64 bit one, but the main thing that should be changed is the language in which it's written in - meaning that Android should be rewritten in the future, but in C. This is highly unlikely, but we can hope. Here's a better explanation with examples: youtu.be/TDBTiwjTT0k.

Z1c, two years old, no lag. Ever.
2-3 day battery
Still runs all latest "apps"

What the hell man? Am I just lucky?

doesnt lag on my computer

smartphone obsessed retards will call anything lag. an app taking one second to load is lag to them

>s2 with MM
>no lag whatsoever

I also use the s6 which is smooth as fuck now. No lag (it was insane before mm though).

It's not really about that. I think it has more to do about animation speeds and overall smoothness. Android has huge fps drops in certain areas of the UI, despite all the processing power and the RAM it has.

>on the same planet you walk and breathe on, there are human beings that actually buy carrier phones
Is this some kind of pajeet joke? People can't be this severely retarded, can they?

>Android has huge fps drops in certain areas of the UI

sure, if you're still on android 2.x

My nexus 4 runs smooth as butter m8. No drops anywhere in the ui. There is an assortment of other bugs though, fuck google

But Android is written in C++

>being locked to a carrier
land of the free™

Sadly, only parts of it are.

It's still present, even on Marshmallow. Just take a look (around the 16 minute mark is what I'm talking about): youtu.be/TXUFw2ecCYs.

A 500% increase in performance doesnt mean shit compared to optimized software, I.E AOSP, iOS etc

People talk about touchwizz etc being bloat, maybe in regards to ram but it's usually poor kernel implementation, slow emmc or a mixture of the two that causes subjective lag.

I'm pretty sure advances in mobile processors are eaten up by increasing screen resolutions a lot of the time. We've gone from Android phones having 320 x 480 screens to 1440p and even 4k screens. Hopefully things will change now that pixel densities are so high you literally can't notice increases from here on out, so advances in processing power will go more towards powering the OS and applications than rendering higher screen resolutions.

But yeah, I'm getting kinda tired of Android myself. My Nexus 6p is generally snappy, but it suffers from the occasional slowdown and I'm wondering if I'd be better off getting an iPhone next time. Last time I used an iOS device was when I had the first generation iPod touch though kek.

nearly 2 years old Oneplus One
running Cyanogen 13 (Android 6.0)
never ever lags, always runs perfectly.

ITT butthurt children who don't know how to root their phones.

What do you guys even do with your phones? I have a Moto E with 1GB ram and I can have a bunch of open tabs on Lightning, and switch seamlessly through several apps without any lag.

can confirm. my moto g 2 (2014) with already stock android was laggy as hell. cm13 is really good.

Android:
Linux (C)
Drivers (C++)
Base framework (literally all Android™ are fully jar, apk files) (Java)

Android is the Windows of phones.
Performs like shit, loaded with crapware, and you have to download dodgy closed-source programs written by Pajeets just to get it to "work" how you want it.
And to think, it was once touted as "Linux for your phone." jej

no, never

I have better things to do than root my phone.

I only call and text with my lagdroid and it still manages to be a slow piece of shit.

>java is slow meme
stackoverflow.com/questions/2163411/is-java-really-slow

Is that rootable?

>>Android is the Windows of phones.
Japierdole zabij sie.
Android is linux so it's the linux of the linux.

He's correct, ty polski śmieciu.

>>ty polski śmieciu.
Albo zamkniesz ryj albo oczy.
Linuksiarze polecają linuksa po to by inni cierpieli tak jak oni.

>>still lags

That's because stock rom is filed with bloatware.

Also, Verizon version is the WORST version of Galaxy S7 because Verizon can upload ads and more bloatware by just disguising it as a update.

it literally is linux for your phone tho

It's a quad core arm processor. Aka shit.

>
>I have better things to do than root my phone.
There's your problem lazy faggot

I'm not a programmer, but I've consulted my friends that are programmers and researched the topic and as far as I understand Java is a great language for small projects, but not for an operating system as a whole.

Well, that's not the right way of thinking about rooting. You shouldn't have to modify your operating system in order to have a lag free UI.

Droid turbo on shit tier snapdragon 805 doesn't lag except for freezing up every once in a while

HAH! my note 3 doesn't lag...but I'm on a custom rom because I'm not a moron

Then go into developer options and set it to only keep 10 apps open at once because I fucking guarantee your issues are either you being a complete retard and never closing background apps or you being on verizon

My Nexus 6 with 6.0.1 is smooth as fuck

Gentoo doesn't have this problem.

Shoo shill shoo!

>note 4
>nova launcher
>no lag

>filled with bloatware
Possibly. Samsung's aggressive throttling for maximized battery life exacerbates it.

It's snappy as hell, Famicom. Stop trying to shift the blame.

>TouchJizz

...

>TouchWiz is only the launcher guis

>operating system as a whole

Only the apps and some system frameworks are written in java. The kernel and all native binaries are either C or C++.

Would you rather have a Xeon on a 3000mAh battery?

If you don't plan to root your device, don't buy an Android phone.

It's as simple as that.

The only lag i experience after switching to nova is when im playing a game, and using bluetooth and chattin with people. Aside from that it's usually super quick

Or not cause there's still plenty to do without root

Touchkizz =! android
Try use a flagship HTC or MOTO and you'll never experience a lag.

>tfw happy user of M8 and running the latest official android 6.0 without a problem

When we say sadsong is shit, because it really is.

Best phone Motorola will ever make.

I wanna buy a chinkphone for shits and giggles, which BLU do you have?

Tfw two year old underclocked CPU & GPU Droid Turbo running CM 13, doesn't lag at all.

Samsung a shit.

The 6p looks nice!

How is cm13? Thinking about ditching stock but I think I'll miss the moto features

I removed some of the meh Cyanogenmod applications and features, just shit I would never use, but otherwise it's great. All the extra features the old CM offered, and some new ones, while at the same time being on the "latest" Android version.

Only issue I have is the way they handle external storage and stuff now in Marshmallow. It's all done through the Settings application, and applications that used to be able to handle it don't seem to even recognize USBs anymore. I probably just need to look into it more, but that's my only complaint. You can't copy files to the USB in the settings application, only from!!

>not buying unlocked
It's like you fags are asking to get your butt raped.

I have the option of getting AT&T or Verizon (my company gives me a huge discount) and I planned to get an S7 Edge. Which carrier should I pick for the lease amount of fuckery? Also is there a way to remove bloatware and such?

I got mine and after a run of package disabler and then killing everything else with titanium backup it's alot more stable than my OPO, which was running CM12

tfw waiting on moto g 3 in the mail

My G3 even on MM stock doesn't lag.

Samshit phones lag because of touchwiz.

Verizon phones lag because of bloat.

>is there a way to remove bloatware
On Verizon? In your fucking dreams.
On AT&T? See above but more likely than Verizon.

H-how bad is it user?

I've been living outside the US for many years. I've never used AT&T or Verizon (I used Virgin Mobile for my phones prior to moving)

Both companies lock down their shit so hard that even the combined effort of thousands of pajeets cannot unlock them. Verizon is just more skillful and doing this than AT&T.

Of course if you're happy with leaving some bloatware and just disabling the rest then you'll probably be okay, but I don't like that.

Also don't support Samsung.

>Also don't support Samsung.
Why user? I wanted the S7 Edge.

Also my friend said something off hand about AT&T having better international support or ability. What's that about?

>samshit

Verizon shill here.
>desperately want to root my phone
>but Verizon and their locked bootloader prevent me
>solution is to buy an unlocked phone
>but then I'd have to deal with Bell's shit
>leads to worse coverage
>will also lose comfy as fuck 50% discount on monthly bill
What do, Sup Forumsrothers?

stop buying shitty phones

But I bought myself the Sup Forums Approved™ LG G4.
It's rootable, but there's little to do beyond blocking ads and setting CPU clock speed, no ROMs to mess with, etc.

>Sup Forums approved
