Why on Earth do people spend $500 and more on "smart" phones EVERY 2 YEARS?

Because they have jobs and can afford it.

For the same reason you spend whatever money on whatever it is you like

Why on Earth do normies not gain even a basic understanding of computers?

Many of them have 0 investments plans to speak of, or are even in debt. I've seen STUDENTS thousands in debt, who buy "flagship" "smart" phones.

I don't know. I ask them what they can do with their new phone that they couldn't with their old and they're stumped.

Why on earth do people still post that stupid frog in the year 2016? Are they dumb frog posters?

Because they're not poor.

$250/year(cost of upgrading every two years) is earnable by most people with actual jobs in under one day.

>Because they're not poor.
>can afford it.
Why not just burn the money straight away?

They're short-sighted, spending their lives in myopia and working until they're 60 because they don't consider the future.

Doesn't really affect you though does it?

The less goyims know about the infrastructure they use on their phones and computers the better.

Maybe they enjoy it?

Seriously $250/yr is nothing.

That's 10 hours of work at $25/hr.

Have you tried using any smartphone with stock ROM for 2 years? They get unbearably slow.

My Moto G with Cyanogenmod is quite fine

Always amusing when others tell me what fancy shit their flagship android can do when all they do is listen to music, check mails, use their social media stuff and watch videos on youtube.

Yeah, try running stock and tell me how that works out for you

Lack of responsibility. Lack of future planning. Lack of oversight.

Contributions to these above might be advertisement, failed or no economics class, abundance of money, peer pressure, etc

It's trendy.

There is a such thing as buying at the right time. I made a HTC One M7 last 3 years. I converted it to a GPE edition and debloated, it's still getting security updates on 5.1, my sister uses it now and acts like I gave her a brand new phone.

I would still be using it now if the redmeme wasn't so strong

>it's a lsck of future planning to spend that

?? Do you think their retirement is going to get delayed by 8 years because they bought a newer phone?

Real question is why does it concern you? Blog somewhere else. GTFO!

this, $500 on a phone every two years is peanuts

This

How poor do you have to be to count other people's money?

Dont you have anything better to do than create a false sense of superiority?

80% of all citizens are in debt.
It's justified to feel superior as a debt-free person.

Expensive gadgets make them attractive to shallow women, along with fast cars and fancy clothing. It's a sad spectacle.

buying a new phone doesnt put you in debt

No but I'm not in debt because I practiced impulse control.

That's not a stock ROM

they are consumerist sheeple

Retirement isn't the only future.

There's rent, there's mortgage, there's medical bills, there's debt, there's fuels, there's car insurance, there's car payments, there's house repairs, there's car repairs, there's emergencies, etc.

So many much, much, much more important future things that cannot be predicted. "I don't have any money to fix my car/house/pay rent/student debt" WAAAA THE SYSTEM IS KEEPING ME DOWN

i don't, my galaxy grand with 1gb ram from 3 years ago works just fine

>EVERY 2 YEARS
What are you, poor?

With the Applel Upgrade Plan™ you can now get a new iPhone every year for just $32 per month.

As long as my phone is made of metal then Im fine. Gucking hate plastic phones.

my point is buying a phone occasionally when you have a $60k/yr+ salary is nothing much

Wow that sounds like a great deal, sign me up!

>I dropped out of high school and work min wage but at least I'm debt free!!!!!

Top kek. A decent software engineer job lands you $4-6k a month. $500 is literally nothing. If anything the fact that you think $500 is a big deal for a 2 year investment shows you have no clue how to manage your money or you simply make shit pay.

THIS.

You shouldnt focus on saving your money, focus on earning more.

it's easier to earn $1000/month than find ways to save it. Also if youre working you dont have time to spend

Being a pennypinching kike wont get you anywhere

>focus on working more

I said earning more, not working more.

Start a business or something.

Point is that earning is unlimited, you can make $100,000/month if you're capable while saving is hard-capped. Once you're past a ceetain point theres nothing you csn do to spend less money and it has rapidly diminishing returns.

>$500 every 2 years
People usually have every expensive phone contracts that allow them to pick a phone worth €700 and pay like €35 a month for this. Actually those deals aren't so bad if you look at it this way.

For a student like me €35 is an unthinkable amount of money. For someone with a job it's 3 hours of work per month for a phone which is by now a very important device for your life.

I see normalfags with broken phone screens all the time. Plus the battery gets shit after 2 years.

Good goy

>$0.68 a day is expensive

I bet you spend way more than that on cigarettes, mountain dew, and gaymes

Also
>frogposting on gee

I don't smoke, drink overpriced unhealthy sugar water and I most DEFINITELY do not play video games.

I hope the "sugar water" is energy drink and not the kind of faggot who sprays sucralose fruit juice in water like a fucking gay

>oh boy when I show people my new shining gadget they'll be so jelly/like me more/get all the pussy!

That's it basically.

320$ is my absolute max
And it'll be used for 5yrs +

Report frogposters.

...

people buy them on contracts

= debt for 2 years

Every 6 years should be a "healthy" thing to do

Fashion

Fashion is maximally aggravating.
It's 100% irrational.

Yes but it's better for tech economy if plebs spend that money on technology instead of gay purses

Fair point

because muh numbers
Stupid idiots on Sup Forums are such good goys. They'll buy stupid shit they don't need just because fashion

Because everyone, both boomers and millennials, operate entirely on loans these days. Why else is our generation ready to embrace socialism? Few people actually save their money and purchase things confidently anymore.

>Work IT for company
>Old company phones get recycled
>Take any turned in phone I want
That feel when using an S5 for 2 years that a guy had for a month before getting fired

That feel when stacks of notes and S6 that I don't take because I dont need one

That feel when a guy with an S7 just gave his 2 week

credit cards and installment plans are a wonderful invention

That feel you'll get fired because you're a thief nigger who deserve losing his both hands

Not true.

that feel when im allowed to have my pick of phones but your ass popped from clenching anyways

3/4 of the population is in debt yet they purchase luxury phones on credit.

except I'm working in a datacenter and my boss allows me to get old (2-3 years old) servers every week completely for free.
Get rekt nigger.

Our society is built on people spending their money, therefore people must be brainwashed into buying new things even though they really have no need for it.

I spend 150 every 18 months or so. I have a hobby in telephones id say.
