I find it funny what they put at the bottom

Dude I've had a tech job since beginning of college. No one cares about most of this shit as long as you don't smell like pig ass and make up shit on the spot

At least they're honest.
Most companies just blacklist you quietly.
Don't fall for the "apply anyway" meme, you will get blacklisted and you become unemployable in the entire metro area, because hr fucks like to share blacklists via email.

That has to be a joke, the last all caps paragraph is just fucking ridiculous even for modern day job postings.

>FOUR OR FIVE YEARS OF PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
>STILL APPLYING FOR ENTRY LEVEL POSITIONS

UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.................

>minority owned
>blacklisted in the area
>4-5 years for entry level job
It's like they want to be sure they can't hire anyone, which I'm sure is what they're doing.

I make the same working 8 months at a UHaul. I'm glad I didn't fall for the cs meme

It's pajeets hiring pajeets.

this has nothing to do with cs

It's all the same shit.
The whole world thinks you're a bunch of autistic computer monkeys.

last year i was working for a sleazy company and the motherfucking, cuckhead boss booted me out because i refused to wire a cable into the asbestos filled attic

I make four dollars an hour more at my CCNA co-op job through school.

What the fuck is wrong with this company?

This has to be satire.

Just apply with a fake name and lie about certs and find out what this is about.

>Don't fall for the "apply anyway" meme, you will get blacklisted and you become unemployable in the entire metro area, because hr fucks like to share blacklists via email.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

No. In fact my greatest achievement with computers to date is building a Frankenstein desktop that barely runs Skyrim on low and maintaining debian Sid on my laptop with Google, but I can still make 10.50/hr just less than 20 miles from home. Not with computers, but still. Come to NEAtlanta area. Last time I looked a certain Sup Forums type store paid more than that for just a hardware tech. If you gave them that resume they'd probably throw in your own personal genital masseuse.

That is why I have my own business.
Enjoy your 9 bucks.

Seriously, how is this legal? 99% of applicants will not meet criteria like the one in OP, so you're meaning to tell me most applicants for jobs just get dumped on a blacklist?

These ads are so companies can tell the government they're trying to hire American citizens but without success. They are then allowed access to H1Bs to hire Pajeet for min wage.

i feel bad for Sysadmins. CS degree is better on the programming side. Altough they both make huge amounts of money. Idk what is going on in your pic OP

...

do those blacklists really exist?

I feel bad for you Americucks :(

No.

it's 9.5 and it's way over the minimum

It's more likely that, since it's a minority owned company, they're dumb as hell. They went to linkedin, copying some much bigger, better company's advertisement and pasting it there, offering only 9.50 and praying some autist who lives in his mom's basement applies.

I'm blacklisted from a bunch of tech recruiters because I'm "uncommunicative." I told a tech recruiter that I didn't want to communicate by phone, and that was enough to get me on a blacklist. Technically illegal, but I'm kind of past the point where I need a tech recruiter.

But the pajeets won't have the qualifications either so the government can easily see through this shit when they try to apply for it.

you think anyone is gonna check? besides Pajeets always lie like crazy on their resumes. They put a whole wall of text on them to apply to shitty entry level positions

Pajeets can just get their qualifications from their brother's cousin's uncle's wife's sister's husband Rajesh's printing business for 60,000 rupees.

You definitely are overestimating the government. You think they read every ad posted in depth? The numbnuts at his desk job at ICE or HLS will do the bare minimum while handing out visas like candy at Halloween. I see this shit every day in IT. The curry smell is so strong by noon in my office that I want to throw up.

diplomacompany.in/

>.in

All you really need to know.

Pajeets are the really the only race that disgust me. They look like shit, they smell like shit, and they act like shit.

the company just has to prove they can't get anyone they need in the US. they don't have to prove that they can find someone with the qualifications internationally.

Are "do not hire" blacklists actually a real thing or is it just a meme?

If so how would you go about finding out if your name ended up on one of said blacklists and how would you get it removed?

At first, I thought this was one of those "crafted to keep our H1-B guy on the payroll for cheap" job listings.

Then I got to the last paragraph and it became obviously a satirical post.

Blacklist for specific companies, yes. Can't comment on if they would share the list with a competitor. I would like to think not but if you follow the money, sooner or later you have many different companies owned by a much larger one, so realistically maybe.

HR is almost exclusively manned by people who have no clue who is or isn't good for the company because they have no clue what anyone else in the company does or how they do it.

It's like if you had a car shop and you had an HR lady who doesn't know anything about cars hiring service dudes. It's going to come down to "on paper" or how hard you fuck her. She is a valueless asset who control the people that the business relies on.

Link their contact imfo, OP. Let's have some fun.

I do this job, I have none of the certs, hell I didn't even graduate high school and I'm making 80k a year with IBM.
Actual BS.
If they black list you for trying? That's...I mean, how does one bring down a company?

Pretty much this. HR is only good at weeding out the autists, but it's so easy to bypass them if you just lie and at least pretend to not be autistic

If I'm looking for an EE technician position but I have a shit GPA what do I do? It's like 2.5 and I could maybe stretch it to 2.8 by only looking at my major but most people won't even consider you under a 3.0 so I feel like I'm fucked.

I think I'm qualified. My current non-technical related job I've been at for four years and they can testify I'm a good worker. I have a home workbench set up with oscilloscopes, a function generator, and DC power supply and I do projects all the time, I've used a bunch of simulation software and PCB design and layout software (pirated it and learned it) so a lot of experience on the computer end, and I recently finished designing and presenting a senior project that went really well, it's fairly complex and I know it inside and out.

I don't think I would have any issues with any job I get but right now my issues are getting in the door and proving my claims. I have a friend who just got hired at a company and he says they asked him about his GPA multiple times. Now maybe that's just one company but I feel like I'm about to be fucked and I don't know what to do. I don't want to end up on any blacklists.

Work for TempleOS

Your fine. Employers do not care about your GPA. They care about your capacity to do the job. Demonstrating that in the context of an interview is what you should be worried about.

>Demonstrating that in the context of an interview is what you should be worried about.

That is exactly the problem. I'm not worried about my ability to do a job. I know I have the skills I need and after some initial training specific to the job I'm sure I'll be fine. It's about convincing HR I have what it takes when HR doesn't even understand what you need to do the job and this is where I might have problems. I wish I could interview with an engineer directly.

>craigslist job postings

If it's not your senior year, try to apply for internships. Experience > grades.

>tfw $25 an hour entry level job with nothing but a HS Diploma

Based Kaiser

I think I might have more trouble with that if only because internships usually place even more emphasis on grades do they not?

I know experience counts for more in general but I have no experience right now so the only thing I really have as any indicator of performance is grades. Unfortunately my grades aren't doing me any favors in that regard.

I do. I do this job and make $70k.

All of these posts saying HR doesn't know what you need to do in order to do the job is bullshit.

No, they're not the support/developers, but who do you think they go to to formulate their questions in the first place? The questions they ask and your answers are likely reviewed with someone with a technical understanding afterwards.

Source: Me, work at web design agency doing UX. Also have a degree in labour studies.

>a degree in labour studies.
enjoy being unemployed

> work at web design agency doing UX.

I'm employed. Gainfully.

And it only just furthers my original point of your certifications not mattering and what your abilities are mattering much more.

I am literally an example of that.

What a stupid process. So instead of just asking the questions themselves they get some idiot who's likely going to paraphrase and re-word a candidates answer to the guy who should really be doing the interview in the first place?

HR is cancer and fucking useless.

Yes. Because the person being interviewed may be an asocial piece of shit who can't work well with others. HR is usually used to consider both, reviewing the things they don't get with the people who do, and then a consensus decision is made.

If that bothers you, ehn, sorry? It's good management of staff.

You don't need an HR person to tell who's an asocial piece of shit and who isn't. Literally anyone who isn't an asocial piece of shit can tell you who is or who isn't one.

There's no reason you can't just eliminate HR and have someone with a technical background do the hiring. They all have to work with people and you are no better a judge than they are.

do they not know what the word "entry" means?

Blacklist lmfao. Why would anyone listen to a blacklist that is clearly being abused?

>working in tech
>not learning a trade
>not earning $5000 for three days work regularly

It's like you want to be replaced by Pajeet in two years.

People who are asocial can tell you who is asocial as well.

>source: i can smell my own

it was the most blatant of examples, user. Feel free to focus on that rather than the process.

You should ignore all craiglist job postings that don't list business names and locations. There are a lot of fake postings made by people for harvesting resumes.

>IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN 10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Oh boy, "overqualified" is still the biggest bullshit in the world. Literally every time I see this shit, it's someone below the owner who could lose his job once you prove what an out of touch piece of shit he is and he's been lying his ass off to the owner for decades. Real companies don't mind if you have more skills since they know you could save their ass when SHTF. This isn't a job posting, it's being an errand boy. You'll only be allowed to do the shit that HE knows and anything outside of this is not only fixing the problem, but threatening his job because he's a piece of shit. Years ago I've been in "interviews" before where they asked a complicated server question, and the intention was for me to get it WRONG... as soon as I answered it I saw his eyes bulge and the rest of the questions were "shouldn't you be leaving soon". Knew right then I was not getting this job and almost left with a "hey thanks for fucking wasting my time, guess I wasn't stupid enough". You'll be dealing with this shit until you start your own business - you need to eventually do this, other people are the biggest fucking losers who will not hesitate to sabotage and lie to everyone to get you fired because they know you're too smart.

Why would anyone blacklist in the first place? I mean I get a black list inside your own company, kind of. It's still pretty shitty but you can look it as investing a few seconds to save a half hour of company time. But sharing it? That's allocating resources for no reason other than to fuck applicants over. What kind of sick power complex inspires people to do this shit?

At the very least there should be a common form of telling people they're blacklisted so they can spend their energies elsewhere. Doing it undisclosed should be flat out illegal imho senpai.

not even who you're responding to but goddamn this scene has never been so real

youtube.com/watch?v=hNuu9CpdjIo

>but you see the engineers need the HR people because the HR people have people skills! That way the HR people can communicate with the applicant and the engineers, and the stuff the applicant says that the HR person doesn't understand gets sorted out. What don't you understand!?!?

>be a stooge for these jackasses
OR
>go work in a warehouse/shipping facility and earn nearly double the wages for less hours

hmmm

choices choices

there are probably lots of issues Indians have but businesses are likely familiar with the quality / cost function and take this into consideration during hiring, at least they're likely to do more research than paki shitposter #2342423 so I doubt even if there was perfect scrutiny of credentials your problems finding employment would disappear, likely they want to give it to folks who will do the same work for cheaper.

dunno if you have statistics, but the mean of our quantitative gmat scores were considerably higher than for US grads
rank country mean
14. India 577
54. United States 532

poetsandquants.com/2014/01/04/why-53-countries-beat-the-u-s-on-the-gmat/2/

they must've somehow learned something along the way.

Holy fuck dude, you're literally going with the whole 'those basement dweller computer guys are so socially retarded!' line. Get the fuck over yourself. Most people in software development are fine and more than capable at holding a conversation with potential candidates in interviews. Especially those in more senior positions.

It doesn't take a fucking degree in labour studies to pick up on whether someone has the communication skills to fit in the office.

I'm sure most developers are also capable of working the lunch counter. What's your point? It's called specialization of labor. It's done for the sake of efficiency.

Is there something that stops someone from using a resume generator and sending hundreds and thousands of fake resumes to craigslist postsings?

Race realism isn't very fun when you're not actually the master race

>Share Point
$9.50 an hour is not enough to get me to work with that pile of dog shit.

They gotta be joking right? Who in their right mind would apply for this bs. Any normal job with 5 years exp and you'd be a sys admin. A job with those requirements would easily pay over 80K here.

read a few responses in this thread and I'm convinced it's due to some bullshit law or quota requiring them to post this and make "an attempt". Best example is applicants receiving unemployment who make up shitty resumes on purpose so that they don't have to deal with actually possibly getting hired but can still say "I made an attempt to get a job" so they can keep getting welfare. I've seen semi-legit postings like this before but the difference here is the all caps "WE WILL NOT HIRE ANYONE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES" paragraph at the end, that is the proof they don't really want anyone

No, but any decent company would be able filter out automated emails.

What currency? 80K is a lot less impressive if its maplebucks or 'strayabucks.

does this look like a decent company?

Any decently sized company should have an interview with at least 2 people, the HR + a technician that at least understands what you are doing.
That's what happened to me at least.
Of all the interviews i had i've been hired both times when a technician was present and i was rejected in the others.
First time was an underpaid job right out of school (40 h/week 400 bucks a month but consider a 1300 a month is what a full adult in a normal job does in this country) with no contributions to pension.
I'll start monday with a 1100 a month and i'll get 14 paychecks a year + 200 bucks a month because it's a 3-shifts job + free meals

>mfw i literally got complimented twice for my knowledge of actually useful stuff, especially for troubleshooting, during interviews.
>last one that did offered me a very good job
The trick is getting lucky and get an interview with a senior member so that he's not threatened by your experience

>The whole world
I couldn't care less about uneducated retards :)

I don't know any of that shit and I make $15 / hour as an intern

Internships: Bullshit mock interviews
You will have to craft a resume
You are already ahead of the game because you have work experience

Look what they're recruiting for and tailor your resume for that. Research every company you're applying for. I'm sure your school has career guidance counselors that could help you. Take advantage of internships because they pay well enough and nobody expects much of you.

>1300 a month is what a full adult in a normal job does in this country
Where do you live?

Link? I want to troll them with some emails ;^)

Pic related.
The absolute average of the country is actually 1500ish but that includes shit like CEO.
Average metal worker gets something like 28000 before taxes (which are roughly 20-22%) over 13 months so that's about 1300 a month.
My dad raised a family of 5 with absolutely 0 financial problems and put aside a good amount of money for all of us with 1700 a month

>CEO gets 1500 euros a month

Whoopsie, meant 22k before taxes for average workers.

Also sources because why not

affarimiei.biz/2015/09/stipendio-medio-in-italia.html (italian)
forexinfo.it/Stipendi-medi-in-Italia-1-560-euro (italian)

worldsalaries.org/italy.shtml (english)

No, i meant CEO drive the average salary up.
According to sources they get on average triple salary compared to normal workers.

>if bill gates gave away all of his money he ever earned to americans in the same month he could raise the average salary of everyone by a hundred bucks

>you will get blacklisted and you become unemployable in the entire metro area,

What? Applying for a job that you are unqualified for isn't going to get you blacklist. You get blacklist'd for fucking over HR. If that were the case, I wouldn't be able to get the current job that I have.

There is a blacklist, but it's no where near as powerful as you are claiming.

it and cs are the same thing moron

This post is either satire or made by an extreme autist. One red flag are those Dell server models they called out, 1950 and 2950 are like 10+ years old.

There are two situations where someone cares about your college GPA:
1. When it falls below 2.0 and you basically failed college
2. When applying to graduate school

Nobody else cares otherwise, don't even bother listing it on your resume.

Socialism, everybody

No one cares about your degree when you get mid career either. I'm a drop out and have interviewed with with Google and other Google tier companies (I work for one of them now) and no one even asked about my degree. It's worded in such a way on my resume that if it came up in a background check it would be clear that I didn't lie, it says the dates and ehat I studied, no mention of degree.

>Don't fall for the "apply anyway" meme
That's what I did and now I have a 70K salary

He did say his dad raised a family of five with absolutely no financial problems and put away good money for each of them, so I'd say maybe it actually works.

We did ok.
We have 3 cars, 1 good pc + other 2 "shit" ones for them, 2 tvs and we eat meat almost everyday.
getting sick of that to be honest.

>minority owned

trashman

>it's 9.5 and it's way over the minimum
In texas it is. Dunkin Donuts cashiers make 11/hr around here.

They want to make sure you're more clever than the people in HR.

I make double that and I haven't even been working for two years

Fuck those morons they're not going to get anyone
