My first chinkphone. Fucking hate the waiting game, I want it now!

Which one senpai?

...

>CN
canada isn't chink

what phone?

Redmi 3 pro

Worth the wait imo.
K6000 premium is a sexy phone

Kek

Good choice. make sure to flash the Global ROM when you get it to get rid of the spyware. or AOSP if you hate MiUi.

MIUI isn't really that bad, though.

You must be joking~

>MT6753 T6753 is gonna lag in a year.is gonna lag in a year.
Ah sry ye this assumption is holding me back to get the pro.
The back looks better too imo.

How big are the chances to see custom roms for this thing?

Currently using an LG G3
I'm looking for a new midrange phone.
My only requirement is that it has NFC and can be used with Android Pay.
What are my options?

from where did u order it? Aliexpress?

Haven't tried out miui since my old HTC desire s, will give it another chance.

Do I lose anything with aosp? Like camera quality or something?

Also curious about oukitel. Almost got the k6000 pro instead of my redmi 3 pro. Would the k6000 pro have been better because of the 1080p screen and bigger battery?

that's not how CPUs work.

They don't slow down over time, the user bloats the phone which makes it lag. Mtk6753 is a pretty decent SoC for the price imo

It's not even out yet, who knows. don't think there are custom roms on the pro so I wouldn't count on it.

Doesn't oukitel have their own official cm rom for the phone if you don't want to use stock?

Yep. Literally the cheapest one on aliexpress.

MiUi is Xiaomi, not HTC.

>Do I lose anything with aosp? Like camera quality or something?
No, just the fancy MiUi shticks. do it if you prefer stock Android.

>Would the k6000 pro have been better because of the 1080p screen and bigger battery?
Eh, the Redmi has Qualcomm SoC, is much lighter, and has huge ROM support. K6000 is novely.

>They don't slow down over time
No, but apps will become more demanding. the K6000 CPU is slower than the ancient N5. (Snapdragon 800).

What does Sup Forums think of the moto g4? seems nice for the price.

>Doesn't oukitel have their own official cm rom for the phone if you don't want to use stock?

No idea actually.

There's a miui custom rom for most phones on xda...

I somehow doubt apps will be too demanding for the mtk6753 within at least the next 2 years, since it's 8 cores without big.little

Possibly a gpu bottleneck though.

I'm in the US and I use Metro PCS.. I'm looking for a phone with 5inch or less screen, decent camera and OK specs (alittle gaming would be nice). I don't care if I have to import it, or whatever, I just don't want to spend anymore than $200 at the verymost. I don't mind rooting or jumping through hoops to get a good deal.

What should I be looking at?

isn't it india exclusive?

see

What's your current phone?
Mines the samsung icon HD.

Is there a supported FOSS Android version I can put on my [device]? I want to de-googlify my phone and tablet if possible. Preferably very lightweight since my tablet is old as fuck and has trouble running CM10.1

Install a aosp rom. It doesn't come with gapps. Then install fdroid. Pic related.

garbage

Neat.

>wants to ungoogle his device
>by installing googles own OS
Kek

That thing is ancient.

If it ain't broke don't blow money on a new one

Have you heard of microg?
That's also pretty useful for people gapps free.

What do you guys think of the Kyocera Duraforce XD? I am pretty hyped to get mine

Inb4 [generic emo joke about the XD]

Exact same boat here, shipping to Australia is always painfully slow. Already got my Xiaomi unlock request sms though so the hype is real

XD

I got an LG G4 for the grand price of $0, on Verizon. How bad did I fuck up?
So far, battery life isn't much better than the G3 was.

I remember my g3. Battery was worse than my Nexus 5 ;_;

Never again

I seemingly run the gauntlet of bad batteries. I had a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the G3, and now the G4. Its been 95 minutes, and I'm down to 78%.

Z3+ or G4?
I'd probably get LG, but I'm not sure how good battery is. Mainly browsing, watching vids and listening to music (not streaming).

Want to get the zte warp elite, specs and price look really good. But I'm aware it's carrier locked to boost mobile. Anyway is boost really that bad? Anyone here have them? Currently on prepaid at&t gophone.

look up.

Take a look at catphones

You have Doze now, and you can just add an extended battery IF you want.

However on ALL Android devices:
- Location is a big suckers
- Bluetooth, NFC sucks battery
- Make sure to use WCDMA or 2G only if you have shit reception for 4G or 3G. For me, WCDMA/GSM works best, this way I have a deep green line always. Saves the most battery.
- Make sure wifi scanning is off in Google.
- Make sure Location is not enabled to turn on your location all the time.

The G4 comes with replaceable battery, a very good camera (compared especially to Sony).

Sony pushes out flagships every few months, and drops support way too fucking fast. They dropped Z2 support, now I know Z3 will get dropped.

In fucking months your phone gets marked as obsolete by Sony, it's a fucking joke.
Then there is the battery - that I will never be able to replace. With every charge, it will be more and more shitty.
Meanwhile on my 3GS I was able to replace the battery in 5 minutes with a 2$ chink tool set.

Fucking Sony. I still don't know why people keep buying Sony phones.

Does NFC really use a significant amount of battery?
Thanks for the other tips
LG G4, pretty dank phone imo.

I know that feel.

Galaxy Nexus, htc desire s, nexus 5, lg g3.

Now I'm waiting on a redmi 3 pro because fuck flagship SoC I want good battery life.

If the sd616 is enough, my next phone might be a $100 mediatek device with big battery. Want to see how low I can go, kek

Well I had NFC turned on my Note 4 for a while and I did notice a significant amount of battery drop.
But, all phones differ.

Sony for example used a Doze like feature before Doze was a thing, that also helped a lot with battery savings. (It was not Stamina, but basically a forced doze. It waited until X time, then allowed apps to use mobile data.)

There is no "good battery life".
I have a Note 4. Exynos.
Top of the line on every stat.

Real life?
It fucking sucks.
Takes a few hours to run out of juice if you use it and keep display on.

The tests with all that 6-8-10 hours of SOT?
Bull-fucking-shit.

The only way is extended batteries. That's it.

Also your battery will degrade in the Redmi. I know this "Apple is better at everything" is bullshit, but you must admit, their iPhone batteries do have quality OEM control. I doubt this applies to chink batteries.

>There is no "good battery life".
Look at oukitel. People get up to 16 hours sot while browsing with the k6000. With the pro and premium the performance gets on a acceptable level. Build quality seems great sound quality is decent camera is okay (not the non-pro) but they weigh an uncommon amount.

I don't know.
These devices are not so cheap.

- What about the Android Security updates?
- What about the new updates?
- What about the XDA roms/community/backports?
- What about warranty? (LG, Samsung, HTC all big companies give 2 years in my country.)

Fucking k10000 and 30 hours SoT.

My friend ordered one from aliexpress last week.

But I need a long-lasting battery that won't go from 100% to 10% when I have watched 2-hour movie.

>updates?
You should flash cm when you get hands on it. The non pro got custom roms already the pro just got released.
Warranty is a problem.

These devices are cheap.

But I have to say that the k10k looks like a transformer and could be used as a weapon (weight) and the other models look better. Especially the premium.

AMOLED helps with that, but keep in mind most apps and content is white, which is terrible for AMOLED.

K6000 pro?

If you're not in the US, I really recommend oukitel for battery life.

He just got extremely pissed off at his iPhone 5 battery life being horrible and asked me for the cheapest and toughest android phone with good build quality.

I did go over how the soc might be a little weak since he's coming from iPhone, but after seeing the battery life he just bought it. Personally it's too heavy for me.

I like the design of the k6000 pro though, more than the premium actually.
Everyone has their preferences.

I don't need transformer battery with 10,000mAh, its just G4's screen is fucking UHD which drains battery really quick, that's reason I was considering also Z3+. According to GSMArena G4 has only around ~55h of endurance rating, while, for example some phones have up to 90h of endurance rating.

Yeah but you can always 10k mAh battery to almost any phone via ZeroLemon.

I liked the pro too except the camera part.
Don't be so mean the k6k really looks nice and only weighs 200gram.
Any up to date spec phone with zerolemon? The k6k prem will have a x20 which is pretty good.

I want the best phablet. Price is no problem, I want to keep this thing for a while.

Hit me.

S5, Note 4, G4, I think those are the latest.
Also I doubt these chink phones will have a community around.
They are too expensive and too unknown to make a community gather around them ( to build nice roms and ports. )

Mi Max

Too expensive? They cost about 100$

I got an LG Escape2. I'm trying to root it, but the current root scripts apparently softbrick the phone. Is there some alternative way to do it? Apologies if this is more suited for /sqt/.

K6000 pro is 160usd.
K4000 pro is 90usd.
Leagoo elite 5 is 90usd.
Ulefone power is 170usd.

If these are what you consider expensive then a phone should be the least of your priorities.

Wtf are you on about user?

Spot the samsung user

Its big, but isn't it midrange spec-wise?

Phone wery expensif when phoo in loo, Pajeet.

MediaTek sucks right now, you won't have to wait a year.

Also zero chance of custom ROMs

What's so bad about them?

Last I checked(a few months ago 2bh) they offered better performance and battery life?

Has qualcomm regained it's lead on them?

Not many 6"+ devices out there, unless you meant something smaller when you said phablet.. in that case, S7E.

>trusting lenovo for update

what's the best smartphone that can run ubuntu touch? i liked the robustness of the bq aquaris 5 but the hardware was underwhelming.

> 200$ if customs cant catch it
> 300-350$ if they do
> no warranty
> no replaceable battery
> no support
> no community

yeah, how about you fuck off.

>customs charging $150
Wat

>no warranty
At that price is this really an issue? Contact the manufacturer, most offer 12 months.

>no replaceable battery
Some of them do

>no support
Oukitel updates their phones for a while.

>no community
It's small, but it's on xda and only a quick Google Search away.

Aren't phablets 5.5" and up?

So, spg, how much of a cuck am I now?

Why does using iPhone make you a cuck?
You're entitled to make your own decisions and use what phone you enjoy using.

Enjoy your iPhone 6s :)

Not a cuck, but pretty dumb when the iPhone 7 comes out next month :Z

only bimbos buy iphones these days

you're late to the party, cuck

Fwiw, there's an nfc service running in the background causing wakelocks.

You realized that the SE has same specs?

It really doesn't matter what flagship you have, android or iPhone, don't let the memers on Sup Forums tell you otherwise.
You're free to use an iphone, they're reliable, easy to use and have nice designs. Also if you buy an iphone, chances are it will be at least an 8/10 in every department (aside from battery which is fucking garbage), it's a well rounded experience.
The only reason I won't buy one, is because of how small the aperture and the camera sensor are, and because I know I couldn't put up with apple's bullshit i-environment, and it would just become a timesink jailbroken mess.
Also because it's the ultimate symbol of being a normie

You guys can laugh up pulling one over the ripoff current smartphone market, but nothing beats a custom ROM on a reliable device. Buying last gen flagships>>>>>>> chinkphones

Why is my honor 7 losing 1% (roughly) each day it's turned off

I just replaced my Galaxy S4 that was having constant issues not recognizing my SIM with a Nexus 5X on Project fi, how much of a terrible mistake have I made?

You can install custom roms on it

Nice quads. N5X is solid don't worry.

Moto G 2nd gen
Don't even give a shit, smartphones are just getting worse imo
I'll probably go back to my nokia 1661 rather than get another smartphone

What kind of response are you expecting here? Do you even have anything to say?

Whats a good smartphone if all I want is privacy good battery and a good camera

LG G4s yay or nay

>privacy
>smartphone
pick one

I'm aware of the meme you faggot but for example phone a might offer more privacy than phone b

Does it still have problem with installing CM?

OnePlus 2 vs honor 7

Simple, don't install any apps on any shitty smartphone.

>muh privqacy
No one cares about your tranny porn collection, faggot.

op2 or 6p
