Can we all agree that Apple makes fantastic hardware?
>Thin >Lightweight >High PPI display >God-tier keyboard >Unmatched build quality >Best trackpad on a laptop >Optimized hardware that runs other software better than the software intended for use
My Macbook Air runs Windows and Linux flawlessly in a VM.
>High PPI display Placebo whose only noticeable effect is draining your battery life twice as fast.
>God-tier keyboard >Unmatched build quality >Best trackpad on a laptop >Optimized hardware that runs other software better than the software intended for use This is how I can tell you're a troll
>They are heavier than a ThinkPad. My 13" MBPr has the same weight as my x230? The non-pro and air are lighter.
>Placebo whose only noticeable effect is draining your battery life twice as fast Now this is bullshit. The font rendering is NICE, it just pains me to read text on anything else now.
>This is how I can tell you're a troll This is how I can tell you're out of arguments

Bro just admit they're good laptops.

>>Thin >>Lightweight >>High PPI display These are very true, though the really thin light ones barely have any processing power.
>>God-tier keyboard Near zero key travel is not god-tier. It's tapping-on-a-board tier. The older Apple Aluminum ones used to be good, but the new MacBook ones are godawful.
>>Unmatched build quality It's all looks. Actual quality is lacking. Now, older Thinkpads... you could throw those things down concrete stairs and expect them to work fine afterwards. youtube.com/watch?v=sfrYOWlKJ_g
>>Best trackpad on a laptop I was impressed with Apple trackpads a decade ago. Then I used a modern Synaptics multitouch trackpad and found the Apple ones generally felt shitty and crippled afterward.
>>Optimized hardware that runs other software better than the software intended for use >runs other software better than the software intended for use Parse error. Unable to even. Invalid grammar. Dumping core. If you're trying to say "optimized hardware that runs software better than the hardware it's intended for", that's untrue too. A Mac with a given CPU and RAM will run software the same speed as any PC with the same CPU and RAM, provided cooling is sufficient. Mac hardware isn't special anymore since the switch to Intel. In fact it's a little crippled when it comes to running Windows, what with things like disabling GPU switching and forcing Windows to use only the discrete one.
