Are there any alternatives to Real Player?

Are there any alternatives to Real Player?

Real Player lets you rip videos from websites but has the standard installer adware stuff.

Nope. Real Player is the best video player out there, OP. Stick with it.

>he STILL isn't using youtube-dl, free as in beer and free as in adware free
SURE IS SUMMER UP IN HERE

Well does that work on every website?

It doesn't.

IDM is the only alt.

Well shit, if only I knew how to code something like that and throw it under GPL

Actually there might be a firefox extension that works on everything.

I know for a fact that youtube-dl only works on sites popular sites. Random porn streaming sites? Forget it

Depends on what you use. Here's a list:

Again, look at the supported sites. Works on every one I've used.

Haven't downloaded porn yet, but I'm just downloading TV shows and what not to listen to at work from Watch Series, just hoping my ISP only cares about P2P downloading like it seems

>list of supported sites

You don't get it.
With IDM and such, there is no list of supported sites, because it simply works on every fucking one.

i've never had it fail me, and im damn sure i do more deep porn digging

Guess I'll just deal with real player since it makes things easy and there's a download button integrated on firefox now

Really hope my ISP doesn't send a letter for that one

So I guess even if my ISP does track the sites I'm going to, it can't really track a real player download because it's just fetching the website like normal?

what the fuck real player is still a thing?
what is this 1998?

It just werks

I think vlc can play realmedia. The thought of installing realplayer in 2016 gives me gas.

No I need it to download videos

Using this piece of shit was one of the most horrible software related experiences back in early 00s
Didn't know it still exists.

Apparently I can't download from youtube or screenwave

I've used iTube Studio before. It costs money, but it downloads from pretty much every website and can then be converted.

Not sure if it's hated here, but I've been using jdownloader for a few months.

It's not pretty, but it can observe your clipboard, so if you just copy the link to a page with a video it will put it in your download queue.

Yes.
