Tfw I can still hear the fan even when the PC is off

>tfw I can still hear the fan even when the PC is off

The same, but I hear it from my speaker amp.

>tfw I can't hear the fan even when it's on

nice dude I wish I had that much honey

Why are people rich enough to buy large landed properties but too cheap for solid floors?

You know nothing of the property

Umm, what?

Where did all the bees go?

Not him but muricans never have solid houses.

>photo is of a corner of a room
>can somehow tell how large the property is and what country it's in
Sure thing bud

>needing more than a single corner in your house
It's like you're some kind of materialist property hoarder.

Neither do Europeans unless you live in a 15th century castle.

Or a 20th century bunker.

I think the only person on Sup Forums that has one of those is that Swedish guy.

yeah sure. Butthurt american detected. I hope your small storm will make you homeless, while we'll just lose a few rooftiles.
Tell me why my rather cheap house is made out of bricks and has nice isolated concrete floors..

Please do go on about your psychic abilities user.

Tell me why you have exposed pipes and plumbing? Do you have romex electrical cord bolted to the brick?

What exactly am I looking at here?

Do you actually think that house doesn't have a concrete slab? Because that's almost surely wrong.

There's nothing wrong with an air gap between the slab and the floorboards, especially if you want to put in ducted floor heating later on.

Doesn't look like there's ducted floor heating

>Using a battery-powered reciprocating saw to cut the plywood

some dudes were doing renovations and then 'oh fuck there's a bee hive down here- a really fucking big one'

*In that specific corner of the entire house.

>battery powered
>there's clearly a cord

so why not have solid flooring in that specific corner of the house

That's right, burgerclaps can't into basements. How stupid is that?

PewDiePie?

LOL, you have bad depth perception and you don't know how to make the distinction between a battery-powered and corded tool.

Why have it? You can't know what you want to do in the future, or what a future owner will want to do. You can do other things in that space than just that single example.

>Obvious cord
>Still thinks battery powered isn't capable
>Probably still suggests being tied to a wall instead of freedom of lithium ion

leave your basement every once in a while

Depends on where in America you are, many houses have basements.
I'm sitting in a basement right now.

Yes, I'm sure the future owner will want a built-in beehive.

All that projection.

The entire midwest has basements you retard.

...Or some fancy fibre-optic cabling? Use your fucking imagination.

that is subflooring chum. it is the base for which solid flooring or carpeting is placed so that it doesn't sag when nailed to joists.

great b8 though

I don't think you need to have fibre cables inside the floor

LOL you're just retarded

You do if you want to have a wired network in every room of the house.

>"...even the toilet?"
Especially the toilet.

they removed it to remove the bees, if you put solid floor across joists it will sag in the gaps overtime. do you not understand how building works?

So ignore the word fibre. It's like the space behind the motherboard tray in a case, you stuff the cables you don't want to look at in there, so you don't have to dangle them all over the walls.

Dumbass troll.

This is actually pretty neat. You usually only see this type of thing on peer and beam homes. I've never seen a slab foundation done this way but you could put air ducts, plumbing, and electrical under there and easily fix it if something went wrong. That's about the only plus to having a peer and beam.

It's clearly a different model.

Here, asshole.

My mum's house is built like this. I think it really depends on the country, basements are common in some countries, unheard of in others. Some countries have broom closets, some don't, etc.

It's clearly a different model The one in OP's pic is mains powered.

Lithium battery faggot.

w-what about both?

Since when was any type of battery capable of being gay? Inanimate objects have no sexuality.

Are you serious? You americans have some fucked up building construction habits, no wonder hurricanes completely wreck your shit every year

Is that like a house vegetable you can eat

This is what American doors are made of.

Why would an interior door need to be solid wood?

That one user who bought a bunker from the Swedisch government

it's pretty much the standard everywhere these days for a house on piers or a second story and has been for the last 80 years.

also if your sad shithole of a country with solid concrete tenements had hurricanes you'd see a lot of your homes damaged too, the most damaging metric of hurricanes is actually the flooding do to storm surges most homes can handle straight line winds of up to 100mph, they might lose a few shingles but they would be structurally sound. if there's objects in those winds there's not much that will stop it. my house has been through a few hurricanes and is still standing including a category 3 with no covering over the windows. maybe you should just consider that you're just an idiot.

You're arguing with a literal autistic kid.

Do you seriously have conduit and piping screwed into your brick walls? What about the ceilings? Are they solid roman arched brick? I'm genuinely interested because I'm tired of listening to Europeans who have most likely never even scene a home built. What do you use for framing, if anything? Steel beams?

as far as i know if you want a solid interior door you have to make it yourself or have it made cause no contractor built house anywhere on the fucking planet built after 1920 will have them.

All integrated in the walls mr. Pleb
Physic disabilities? I dont need a stairlift unlike you to get down to your fapcave you fatass.
Anything build on that will collapse with a small whirlwind.

>Implying steel frames aren't termite and weather proof when coated properly and entirely superior yet more expensive

Not even the guy you're arguing with but not every alternative to what America commonly uses is shite.

you don't ? what a fucking pleb

weatherproof... not without continued maintenance

>Anything build on that will collapse with a small whirlwind.
Well, don't live in a country with whirlwinds. Pretty simple solution.

>can't recognise the word psychic
>misspells physical

You pretty much just confirmed your eastern bloc origins with your shitty education.

Also you cannot even see that house's foundations, you're pretty much just fucking retarded.

Thing is, most Americans do live in an area with these.

That's why I'm asking. Obviously skyscrapers in the US aren't built with a wooden frame. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to have a 100% steel framed home.

Don't be American then.

>Shit he made a reading error, now I'll win this argument as an user.
You just made yourself look so stupid.

I've never seen a door built like that, but all the ones I've destroyed have been in older (i.e. 1950s - 1970s) homes. The ones I've seen use a pine structure with laminated finish pieces on either side.

So, two uprights, two horizontal beams top and bottom, then a grid of pine.

So just like every other building material on the planet. If you don't do maintenance on your home, you're going to be homeless sooner or later.

>not without continued maintenance
What the hell do they coat steel frames with where you're from?

>tfw living in a house built in 1650

It's actually quite shitty, the house itself is beautiful but everything creaks, none of the fucking windows or doors fit their frames properly, and the electrical wiring is liable to start a house fire at any moment

Not if your home is, like, the universe, man,

So they can have bee colonies move in and get free honey

probably not until you're dead. so what the fuck does it matter.

>people caring if their homes survive after them.

Tell me what maintenance i need to do on my steel beams surrounded with concrete.
Indeed there is not. Only when the floor will 'sag' according to some anons, a steel beam is needed.

>All integrated in the walls mr. Pleb
They didn't drill horizontally into the brick and run all of that stuff through there. I think I've heard enough from you to know you know nothing. Good day, Sir.

>There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to have a 100% steel framed home.
You clearly have no idea what you're talking about seeing as I just gave two very good reasons.

>You just made yourself look so stupid.
Says the guy making up strawman arguments to cover up the fact he can't actually read.

>Drill horizontally
You liyerally are retardes to not come up with another way.

over time any coating fails, moisture ensues, rust happens, and steel fails. every tall building you see standing has to be maintained constantly. unless you're in russia where they just crumble into the ground while your president chases brown people around the desert.

If your attitude is common, it's no wonder the burgerclap housing market is such shit. Do you all just buy new houses every 5-10 years when the old one starts falling apart?

>I dont need a stairlift unlike you to get down to your fapcave you fatass
I'm underweight, nice try dumbass.

speak for yourself cyka

Yeah that's true, but the ostensible argument was that without maintenance they're less weather proof than a timber frame which only really becomes true if you don't coat them properly, or coat them incorrectly for a salt air environment.

Coating stronk, like Russian economy!

Yes. We are. Enjoy tearing down your entire building once the copper plumbing and electrical wiring fail. I said good day.

As opposed to a country where the brown president chases brown paople around their desert while the economy collapses?

>Only when the floor will 'sag'
What? Nobody said that. That user said that improper flooring sags over time, which is true.

That's called tinnitus my dear user.

I prefer my country where my white prime minister chases the brown people around oceans and then quarantines them on an island belonging to another country.

Fuck yeah xenophobia

that's not america then, in america the president is too busy ignoring the economy while it fails, pardoning drug offenders, and pretending he's interested in chasing brown people. but mostly he's sucking on isreal's cock.

Ah, then he is right. But some user said you dont need to build entire steel structures. Which is true, we oonly need steel when the concrete cant support itself...

...

Sounds like fun.
> tfw my female chancellor is too busy ignoring rationality and brainwashing the masses while inviting brown people and quarantining them in my country

>Americans put bees in their faux basement *and* in their doors
Fucking lmao third world country holy shit

He is holding it backward

and wall carpets, to make up for the lack of heating.

One of our major port cities just loaned their waterfront to china for 99 years because they're retarded. Don't joke about that shit, it's actually happening.

And Germany is being overrun by brown people RIGHT NOW. I'm not joking.
