Windows 10 for Business

Upgrading Win7 to Win10 for a 80 Person Business.
What are the pros & cons?

...

I hope you not the one doing it if you can't figure it out yourself

Win 10 is the future

nah men

cananybodyhelpme?

Pros. None.
Cons. Botnet, new learning curve, a fuckload of time spend upgrading.

Pretty much the only thing Win 10 has going for it is DX12, and I doubt you need that at a business.

As someone who just downgraded from 10 back to 7 I would say do it. I mean if you like all of your privet information being collected by them and selling it to third parties. Also down grading is a bitch. I bought 7 pro legitimately FROM MICROSOFT box and all and they tried to claim my OS key was only an upgrade key for the Korean version.... Had to clean install modify command prompt so it would take and it registered automatically like normal. I was that close to accepting Linux into my life.

what's the business?
do you have any legacy hardware?
do you have new hardware or software in addition to the new OS?

only do it if you're going to be using the enterprise versions.
if you're going to be using pro not bother.

if he's buying an 80ish key license (not sure what size he's really getting, maybe 100?), they should be recommending enterprise at nearly every step of the purchase process.

Pros: fast boot times, and ribbon in Explorer.
Cons: spies on you.

enterprise version + disable all that shit for the average user + local accounts = almost perfect, euro version the least botnet

...

Why are the default settings "full botnet"?

Why is this turned on by default

Why is this turned on by default

Why is this turned on by default

What if I don't want to use a microsoft account?

Why is the "skip this step" button so small and hidden?

the automatic connection to open hotspots was always defaulted to "off" for me, strange.
I usually leave smartscreen on and the rest off here

>enterprise version
check
>disable all that shit for the average use
gpos as always
> local accounts
nope domain users

>fast boot times
check
>ribbon in Explorer
fuck
>spies on you
don't mind

>enterprise
check

>what's the business
Automation and Software

>Lot of upgrades
We use intune

Why is the "Not now" button so small?

>This thread
Winshills getting BTFO

How is this professional?

obv reasons

Why are there ads in the notification area

All of these settings are there just so users can feel like they have some control over their computer while in reality they have next to none.

Hi.

This is supposed to be the professional version, so why are cancerous smartphone apps and all that other trash preinstalled?

Wait for this:
>We'll come back when we are done

>running a business on win10
jesus christ how horrifying

Introducing microsoft wifi, what the hell

not an ad, it's already installed. it can be disabled though

>He thinks Pro = Enterprise
HAAH WAW

why is it hell

FREE

...

candy crush, "get office" are really the only two things that need to be removed as bloat, the rest on that screen should just be ads or links to installation at the store. unpin all that shit and you can shrink the start bar down to a more "classic" look

>Preview Build
>Not RTM
Come back with better bait user

WEW
Nice argument!

Why is the lock/login screen the same on desktops and tablets?

you can change it in settings, like screensavers. it's just baked into the lock screen now.
you can use custom images or solid colors too.

I's crap. Stick with 7.

Consistency

...

That's not a word that describes Win 10

Oh really

it's like I lost my glasses

Nice one

There are no ads in windows 10.

AYY m8

...

they fixed everything here except the right clicking the window border.

I said consistency of the start menu user, im not defending context menus.
>Evaluation build
That 10240 vs 10586 build... was with it?

>using the version specifically made for normies
>thinking it's not ever going to be crap
You do know there's a version made for the people who browse Sup Forums, right? You're incredibly stupid beyond belief.

>disregarding the best Windows OS made just because you use the dumbed-down version
>not doing your research
>actually believing in the botnet meme

wew lad

I'm not that user, but "get office" app is installed by default on every consumer copy of windows

That's the Enterprise version.

...

Why is this part of a professional windows version

Pro is more "Prosumer"
if you want business, get enterprise.

Read

>get enterprise
This is enterprise:

>Enterprise
Picture related was my "Enterprise" version

which version, if I may ask? there's like 7 of them

Why is this ad preinstalled?

>Enterprise
>good
You're supposed to be using Enterprise LTSB N.

So not all enterprise are not actually enterprise?

The official iso that was released in November 2015

>have to reinstall for every release

I had the LTSB as well, it's not any better. It doesn't have the candy crush -tier nonsense anymore but it's still a dumbed down OS

it's mostly to encourage people to explore the Store app and get used to digital purchases across all types of software, not just games. some people are still surprised that Office in retail stores is just a code on cardboard now.

Why is this preinstalled

Pic of it. It's somewhat better but not that much better.

Why is the default video player basically an ad?

I said LTSB N, not LTSB.

There's a huge difference between the two versions.

That's actually LTSB N x86. The only difference in N is that you don't have WMP

>Windows 10 has no ads
>No, windows 10 enterprise has no ads
>No, windows 10 enterprise ltsb has no ads
>No, windows 10 enterprise ltsb n has no ads

Wincucks have some pro level damage control skills

pro level damage control still has ads, upgrade to enterprise level

She never posted a pic of it with ads. I'm literally using it right now and I haven't gotten a single ad.

W8 filesystem is improved over 7 and w10 has that too so its slightly faster. Also they can open rar and zip files and mount iso files without 3rd party software.

Top kek

>there are no ads in the start menu

>she

right click
"turn off all suggestions"

I know it's there by default, but it's not too hard to get rid of

...dude

>linuxfags spend hours ricing their desktop
>cant operate a single toggle to turn this off

auto update with no way to turn it off

>Fresh install
>Uninstall pre-installed games
>Turn off suggestions
>???
>Profit!
I know the point you're making user, but only autismo kids care about that.

DUDE

Her posting name is Femanon, so I can safely assume she's a she.

I've asked her multiple times to post her tits and she's refused anyway. Pretty lame d e s u.

>Linuxfags rice to add things to desktop
>Wincucks have to remove things

>winfags complain how you have to configure linux for hours
>you now have to configure windows with even more obscure shit
Yeah, just make these few obvious registry entries, whats your problem ;^)

There's now a shortcut to windows defender aka MSE in the old control panel for some reason

it goes away if your antivirus disables defender properly.

What a hodgepodge of design languages.

it's like an archeological dig back to the XP era

You can't turn off error reporting or "automatic maintenance" anymore.

WinX is alright from the private, average user standpoint. Basically the windows version of osx.
In a professional or enthusiast capacity, it's pretty shit due to being clunky, bloated, and inefficient. Not to mention the confusing way that the navigation works.

Who thought this was a good idea
