Midori is light on battery life

Why are you not yet using Midori as your daily browser?
It even supports the most popular websites, like google or facebook!

Hello 2007

because fuck something that doesn't support best unix?

Bet, they haven't made it better than safari and thats the reason. Stay shit poorfags

well, a powerful toolbar just takes some place.

Midori is a concept pleb, not just another "browser"

Because it's not Opera 12 or SeaMonkey

why would anyone use this over chrome

because I want plugins that break the web if the web is google and facebook.
Maybe I should use both midori and firefox, but I don't want to

b-but its small but dexterous array of extensions provides ALL the essential features

I used it for some time when I was down to my pentium 4 PC while my main PC's replacement GPU was shipping.

Midori is pretty good for low end machines, the kind where Firefox is too heavy to run well enough

> no Mac version
> Mock-ups are all on Macs

I'll show you what's wrong with it, with only one picture.

kek

You can customize the layout

But that's Gnome3 you flaming homosexual

Why is it called green?

the fuck is a rdio

hardware are macs.

You can run it on mac hardware though. Barely.

Why are you called a newfag?

one of the six most popular parts of the web-world!

Wait, a browser that supports websites?

My goodness next you'll say I can use my keyboard AND mouse to interact with it

>Barely
What? Linux runs fine on Macs

>running OS X on a Mac
I guess mistakes come in pairs

>It even supports the most popular websites, like google or facebook!
It's a fucking webbrowser! It should support every site, faggot.

are you retarded?

I actually use midori for on-battery use on my laptop. Works really great in terms of conserving battery.

Maybe, maybe not.

but I already do senpai

(desu it's the only real alternative on my shitty eee pc)

>webkit

how do you enable the dark theme, senpai? And can you change themes in general? I really dislike the look of default midori.

it's a gtk-theme

Point is they mocked it up on Apple hardware even though there's no osx version

that seriously looks like shit

your shit font antialiasing
your shit resolution
your shit interface
your shit design
your shit stretched screen

what the fuck

im almost certain you set this shit up yourself and deluded yourself that its better or some shit

holy fuck that is bad

kill yourself faggot

>tabs at the bottom
AKA Master Race

>shooped away the Apple logo from the iMac and the model names from the MacBooks

m8 most decisions are born out of necessity of a shitty 10" 1024x600-eee-pc-screen.

chill the fuck out

>your shit interface
>your shit design
what are you even talking about?

you really should go with a vertical panel though. easy to do and usable in xfce

I-it's Pantheon actually

Apple make attractive computers, most other computers look fucking disgusting. Using Macs makes sense.

No it doesn't, apple has awful hardware support for anything that isn't os x.

opinion discarded, tripfag

autism in action

m-maybe

Try the first time it crashed. After a year tried it and again it always crashed.

wait
why did tabs at the top come out the mainstream? It doesn't make sense

since switching tabs is so common, you always pass through the url bar when changing tabs

top should be the URLbar since you can switch tabs with ease

>no extensions.

Will Midori dissapoint me again with crash within

Adblock, Noscript, Greasemonkey and Stylish out of the box

It never fails to disappoint me. Crash on first launch, like 2/3 of the time I've tried.

Oh well, I'll wait another 6 months and try again.

Never crashed on me, but then again I'm using Debian stable

>wandongs

>Why are you not yet using Midori as your daily browser?
Because of muh custom CSS and JS.

>Manjaro
Please elaborate why you're using bleeding edge on a toaster.

fast mouse movement to the top just lets you end on the tab bar. no need to be more precise and "aim" on the bar between content and urlbar/windowborders

Most likely.

Their windows version is completely shit. I kept using after the crash via restart. Their userscript/style doesn't seem to work with 4chanX. Crashed one more time when I tried checking some extensions.

Its still in alpha development stage for Windows platform.

If you're on Windows, why not just use K-Meleon?

well for starters, "midori", in my native language, means a flamboyant homoerotic blowjob in a public place, such as your workplace

??? is there some truth to this

what country needs a word for that..?

Estonia

Next version of Opera will have battery saving mode which does the following :

>Reduced activity in background tabs
>Waking CPU less often due to more optimal scheduling of JavaScript timers
>Automatically pausing unused plug-ins
>Reduced frame rate to 30 frames per second
>Tuning video-playback parameters and forcing usage of hardware accelerated video codecs
>Paused animations of browser themes

opera needs to modernize. it's not 2001 anymore. most people aren't affected by download speeds or loading times due to fast connections. they can't use "lel we make it faster" as an excuse to snoop all traffic

yeah they have this thing called Opera Turbo that if you enable it you get compressed pages through Opera's proxies. It's good if you are in metered connections but i don't use it personally. It's more useful in phones i imagine.

It's not qupzilla, who needs that non 4chanx compatible peace of shit?

But it is compatible

is qupzilla still active? why are they even trying?

I get 18-20 hours of battery life on my Dell Latitude E6400 w/9+12 cell batteries, I don't give a fuck about some browser that says it might improve things, honestly.

Firefox forever fuckers.

Midori is buggy trash. If you disagree, you've never tried using it.

So Sup Forums
Looking for a new browser coming from Vimperator which might not last much longer.
I'm installing Pale Moon right now, how is it?
Is there any browser/plugin that has the option for hidden buffers (set hidden in vim)?

Is there such thing as a barebones Facebook fork? All I need is addon support, I don't care about any of the other features.

cause it's shit
