What the fuck is this?

what the fuck is this?

not linux

this is fucking garbage. why does it take up so much memory?

cause it's a buggy, bloated botnet piece of shit this isn't 2011 anymore

the only decent browser left is safari

because chrome opens up a new process for every tab and most extensions

and because it's 2016 and no one gives a shit about optimization now that you can get a computer with a decent processor and 4-8 gigs of ram for $200

>ItunesHelper.exe
Kill self

that is windows task manager
it tells you want processes are running.
your welcome.

Windows Update service out of control. Microsoft trying to fuck your Win7 install so you move to Win10.

That's Task Manager

s/want/what

right click that process and go to service.
I'm sure that's windows update. fuck that shit. kill that service(and disable) and you'll be fine

what distro? ugly font rendering...
try "killall svchost.exe"

none of this makes any sense.

it seriously can't be that bad

pretty sure RAM prices jave been the same for the last 8-9 years or so

Memory leaks somewhere

here is what it's telling me

how can I find where it is located?

shit fogot pic

here is a cool thing

Sort by PID so you actually know which is which

okay it actually came up as a bunch of different things

where do I go from there?

looks like windows

>your welcome

my welcome what?

>mfw use Windows 10 for playing Steam games last night
>randomly look in task manager before shutting down
>some generic Windows system process is taking up 98% disk usage
>do some investigating, doesn't appear to be updates
>have no idea what my operating system is doing and no way to find out
>let it keep going
>30 minutes later, same shit

I can only assume it was Microsoft collecting "statistics" or something about my usage. What the fuck

There was a thread few days ago about a dude asking for help after being hit my some ransom ware. He described what is currently happening to you.

There will be multiple selection when you do that. Check to see if windows update is amongst highlighted. If it is then disable that shitty service.

definitely ransomware. it will start demand installation of windows 10
sorry, op

When was the last time you built a pc, user?
