I don't like Debian. It's got old packages and I'm forced to use backports for more up to date packages. Not to mention that it's implementation of Wayland is buggy as hell.
At least Fedora is usable in that respect. I use Trisquel now.

How do arch users put up with this crap? This is why a primarily ports based OS is superior if you want to have something like ports at all, ever.
You have the master ports tree, with a ports manager feature that lets you default to source or binary, and then instead of the "user repository" of shitty "pkgbuilds" aka broken ports, you have a community overlay. One package manager, one type of source > thirty thousand package managers, two types of source.
