I'm not a teenager anymore.
can you give a description and list pros and cons of mphc?
I've never herd of it and vlc is pissing me off at the moment.
>open an anime
AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA HOLY SHIT
You can open some curry porn, rajesh
hardware acceleration
>curry porn

Fucking weaboos need to get off this board
What, was the fact that the icon was a cone not enough of a hint that you need to avoid VLC?
Your operating system comes with all of the codecs you need to watch 99% of videos that actually matter.
Also you can fuck off to twitter with your trip cancer and microblogging
For them, it's like their mom but not creepy or immoral.
...
looks fine to me
media player classic home cinema uses Windows built in codecs to play movies, which gives you hardware acceleration, giving your CPU a break from decoding.
It accomplishes this with a UI that is a lot like old versions of Windows Media Player, before it turned into a gigantic turd.
welp, that's basically it, just remember not to install any codec packs - at least with VLC the codec awfulness is contained to one program, codec packs fuck up literally every video player on your system.
> ...why is my CPU on fire?
Unused processor cycles are wasted processor cycles. It's your fault for not having adequate cooling.
>Use VLC
>Your animu turn into Hitler
Fuck you OP, fuck you.
youtube.com
VLC is the Facebook of media players.
use baka mplayer
mpchc looks like shit
Seems fine to me, my processor does not come out of the lowest scaling freq of 800mhz when running... fans dont come on on the laptop either.
>This video contains content from Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc.. It is not available in your country.
I-is that part of the experience?
Probably
Why DOES this happen? The other day I noticed the reason why my webms looked like shit was no bitrate issues but VLC actually looking blurry even at the right resolution.
What is MPHC?
The scene is full of amateur-hour morons when it comes to containers. The decision to standardize on MKV can only be described as moronic, because you need special video players or codecs installed just to watch it, and heaven forbid if you want to play it on a TV through an appliance.
There's a video standard that's already used everywhere. It's called MP4. You can legally put H264 or H265 video in it. You can put AAC audio in it. Done. It will play on damn near everything, with hardware acceleration if available.
The scene standardizing on MKV instead is as if they standardized on Musepack for audio.
my tv is a few years old and it plays mkv's just fine from a shared drive on my network.
as far as containers : the reason animu people love MKV is it bundles the ability to use many different Subtitle text files with the movie, unlike say mp4 that if you have the movie and you dont hard sub, then you have a .srt file that MUST be moved to the same directory, and named the same, as your movie file...which some devices still wont pick up.
even for my own personal use, if i rip something i need soft subs, ill rip it as an mkv that way its all in one easy to move file.
closest thing to mpc-hc and anime i found
MP4 supports embedded soft subtitles
MKV: 1
MP4: 1
So there's still no argument
>my tv is a few years old and it plays mkv's just fine from a shared drive on my network.
Not all MKV's, I guarantee you.
That's the nice thing about MP4, they're mostly standardized in the audio and video codec, so you're almost guaranteed compatibility.
Not the other person but I find mkvs stream and seek better than mp4s. I just copy mp4 streams to mkv then delete the mp4 and the streaming+seeking is a lot better with no quality drop.
>MP4
The anime scene doesn't use MP4 because it doesn't support .ass subtitles, and the subtitle formats they do support are very limited.
MKV with ASS allows for very flexible subtitles, to the point that you can (if you have the patience) seamlessly write over signs and replicate karaoke affects, all without directly editing the video track.
Most of the community just hates hard-subs overall.
>tfw pre-Yosemite OS X is fucking beautiful
Getting the itch to downgrade again
???
do it, no regrets

VLC plays the video
MPC says I need codecs installed and crashes

Kek
What meme am i not falling for?
kek
fuck vlc has horrid font aliasing
>here we see user, displaying his stupidity and complete obliviousness to the fact he's on an anime website, making posts shit talking anime
ironic.
do you even know what Sup Forums stands for? or /k/?
gijutsu and katana
I'll bet they'll both perform roughly the same in polling
Sup Forums stands for guro
only anime board is Sup Forums and it's actually for Sup Forumsutism
No difference between VLC and MPC. I doubt your meme player video is any different.
>battery 103.7%
HOW
Also gonna say mphc is pretty gud, can play anything I throw at my atom tablet unlike vlc. Pretty much was the deciding factor so now I just use mphc across everything for consistency.
What anime is that?
...
Pajeet here. It's our way of referring to BBW (or milfs)
Milky Holmes
Ah smell of fresh newfag
How was 9gag
Sauce?
it charges about 3w/h more than its designed capacity. Most of my laptops have done this in their first year. My Black Macbook had 105% capacity when the mobo died.
Sup Forums stands for baka and was known as anime/random before there was Sup Forums
In this screenshot, the entire bottom box is a softsub added by the fansubbers.
it also looks fine on windows, seems to use less resources to, but i assume it is because dwm does not have to repaint the entire screen like compton does.
i dont use any codecs or third party programs. I dont let the graphics drivers adjust the video either, its not really worth fiddling with for no real difference.
did pause said video for the screenshot, else it would catch two frames at once.
Exactly. This wouldn't be possible in MP4 without editing the video track directly. At most maybe using image subs, but I'm pretty sure they can't handle something like this, especially when it comes to precise placement.
...
>muh placebo
Has this ever even been a thing? Not a single 'C increase in my cpu when I watch stuff with VLC. Same with any other player.
What kind of literal toasters do you guys even have?
Take that shit to
FUCK NO
FUCK NO
Fuck off
why are you watching fritz the fucking cat?
Can`t see difference
i can never tell a difference

Lucky you, it's a known issue on Windows.
Ayy lmao
AYY LMAO
someone recommended me it. Movie was ok.
>No font AA meme
also shit's gradient on VLC.
Check the fonts.
keked
Totally forgot about color acuracy.
Is it 2010? MemePC is VLC 2.0, you're supposed to use mpv now.
