Subtle, but not subtle enough for a successful bait thread.

Kek

i dun get it

Wut?

Mac user here. This is one of the worst fucking parts of this god damned OS.
Same shit over the last four OSX versions, countless reinstalls and two completely different machines.
No matter what the fuck I select, programs won't just auto launch, worse than windows because they disobey the list of startup programs and do whatever the fuck they want, but any program I had running five fucking minutes before a shutdown will reload.
Closing your programs before a restart is utterly pointless. The only option I've found is saving all my work and sessions, then hitting shift control option power.

That's only for explorer windows, friend.

What the fuck? Never was my experience this bad with 2 completely different hackintosh PCs. One had a Phenom 2 and ran Mavericks, and the other has an i5. Never felt the need to reinstall, only the AMD machine crashed, twice, when I was fiddling with kexts (first hackintosh). Intel machine so far zero problems.

Maybe you're just retarded?

Weak

yes, he's just retarded

>shift control option power.
just a tip in case you don't know, pressing that instantly crashes your mac.
also ironically the only program that didn't reopen at startup was firefox (the only one I wanted to open)

I own two fucking macs m8, of course I'm retarded.
(I do giggle that the average hackintosh is basically as stable if not more stable than actual apple hardware)
>pressing that instantly crashes your mac.
Which is precisely why I fucking press it.
Blanking the PRAM is a small price to pay.
If I wanted shit to launch I'd put it in fucking start up. My start up's god damn empty.

Mainly I use "Shutdown" or "Restart" to start up the operating system FRESH.

So no thank you, I don't want ANY SHIT to pop up when I start my PC

I have bootcamp on my laptop, (the dual booting system for Macs) i can restart into windows, play counterstrike, boot back into osx, and continue shitposting with zero interruptions. The tabs are even refreshed so i have the latest posts when I get back in OS X.

It's a wonderful operating system.

...

One of the first things I turn off.

...

yeah but you can turn it on any time you shut down. it's a toggle, not a damn compiled kernel.

that's why it's smart, user. because the option is there when you want it. it doesn't force you to either forego or use it, it's all up to you.

windows can hibernate too, bub

>he thinks it's hibernation

Moving on to OSX after fifteen years of Windows was one of the best things I've ever done.

windcucks btfo indeed, macfriend :^)

>reopening a video at the beginning instead o resuming where i left
how is that non-hibernation-applel stuff going for ya?

You're retarded.

>macfags too lazy to close programs before shutting down

What GTK theme is that

>the pdf i was reading has now reopened on page 1
:s

Vertex.

>shut down
What's that, and why should I do that?
t. Windows-user

what? o.O

>Tor
>on windows

loving every laugh

do you really not understand what you're seeing in the OP picture?

>Being this much retard
Low IQ slavshit spotted. Time for 100 sqats

What's wrong?

>hurr

Dying over here man. HE USES TOR ON WINDOWS THE ABSOLUTE MADMAN!!!!

I just noticed LMAO

what a fuckin tard, kek. I could understand if he had a vm and was running tor through it, but he's actually using it on his host OS.

This famalam, same boat as me.

used thinkpads for the first 22 years of my life. the rMBP had been announced a little earlier in the year and my T510 died while I was backpacking around in south america, so when i got back i got the 2012 rMBP. part of me wishes i had tried it earlier, but admittedly one of the key features that i enjoy now is the high pixel density scaling, so i might not have been that enthusiastic about a MBA or old MBP.

still, i wouldn't go back now.

ITT: iSuckdicks faggots circlejerking about their overpriced facebook machines with no ports and features other OS already had years ago.

>overpriced facebook machines
>unironically still saying this
you're embarrassing yourself, gramps

That's what the majority of people who buy Apple products do. For every person who does real work on a Mac, there are at least 50 bearded hipsters using it to write their blog and talk to their faggot friends on facebook and twitter.

>thinks thats not what most people do with their aplel
>gramps
do you enjoy your tripple frappucino xtra chocolate mocca latte while browsing facebook at starbucks, kid?

if you honestly believe this thread belongs in then report it and roll the dice. see if the thread gets removed for being off topic, or if you get banned for filing bullshit reports.

this is true of most things. do you honestly think most thinkpad owners are using their machines in any serious capacity? just sampling from Sup Forums it's clear that most of the consumers are buying it because it reminds them of the rugged lifestyle they would totally definitely for sure lead if they weren't agoraphobic obese autists.

1. I don't like the taste of coffee so I don't drink it
2. I haven't logged in to facebook in three years
Try again, sugartits.

The Early 2015 rMBPs were the worst refresh ever. The old trackpad was far better and the processors are usually worse then the old ones as well. But they still raised the prices almost everywhere. Weird shit.

Even if they did, so what? I'm sure maintaining a blog is about 97% more beneficial to society than whatever bullshit half of you idiots do besides jerking off on your chinkpads.

Most people who buy ThinkPads buy them or have them assigned to them are business oriented individuals. A very small fraction of the people purchasing ThinkPads is Sup Forums. Unlike with Macs, where the minority of people who buy them use them for facebook and twitter. You can't deny this.

>doesn't have an answer to Macs being facebook machines so he resorts to ad hominem
HHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHHAHAHAA XDDDD

i have a 2012 rMBP and a 2015 rMBP and honestly the force trackpad is much better. before there were areas (namely the top section) that wouldn't satisfyingly click when you tapped it. it was one of the few drawbacks of what was otherwise an excellent (and even with that caveat still *the best*) trackpad on a laptop.

maybe you need to give it a chance, or tweak some settings, or something, but the trackpad has gotten better. I can't speak for the new keyboards in the macbooks, but reviews seem to suggest that you get used to it. but that seems like a very convenient lie a fan would say to convince you to drink the proverbial kool-aid.

>star bucks
>real coffee
No.

I've never once in the year I've had the 2015 rMBP had an unresponsive or misfiring trackpad. Coming from hp and Lenovo trash it's like a gift from god. I would almost call it perfect because I can't think of any way I'd want to improve it. Force touch is actually very useful as well.

Meant to say majority of people who buy them use them for facebook and twitter.

Inb4 somebody jumps down my throat for a simple mistake

I really only ever tried it in store and it felt weird to me. Having something under my fingers that actually moved feels better to me. Also, the top edge problem just never occurred to me, as I never tried that. Still, maybe I should give it another try.

New trackpad is just as good as the old, if not better because you can customize firmness and resistance is the same across the whole area.
If anything the next rMPB will be the worst refresh ever with that fucking rMB keyboard

Not who you're responding to but went from a late 2013 model to the current 2015 one.
New trackpad is way better. Apart from what user said, you can tweak the stiffness of it in settings to make it feel more natural

i think you're clinging to the old IBM notion of the thinkpad to, bizarrely, justify owning a thinkpad as more credible on the basis that *other people* might be using the same model for legitimate reasons.

there are enough people using MBPs for real work, and enough people using Thinkpads for real work, that any claim that one is just good for facebook and twitter is either your own baggage or horse shit.

use whichever laptop you like. if you're honestly worried about appearances for using a MBP (because you perceive it to only be the sort of machine that's capable of facebook and twitter), then
1) you're completely misguided, and
2) you need to get over this superficial nonsense. you're an adult. act like one.

I'm not a fan of the new keyboard either, but everyone I know who uses it has said they adjust to it and end up liking it a lot. The upcoming refresh is going to have an even bigger trackpad though, most likely with fingerprint scanning and some speculate that the Apple pencil can be used on it. I wouldn't be so quick to call it the worst just yet.

i think it was a little weird to me as well, but my memory of the initial use is a little fuzzy. now when i drop back to the 2012 model the trackpad actually annoys me because the top part won't give me a physical click feeling. it's not a big deal by any means, but it's a net (if marginal) improvement.

Did you not read my posts? I never said that's all they're good for. I was implying that since their major demographic uses their machines for facebook and twitter, hence giving them a reputation of being facebook machines.

Also, who said anything about appearances? And why am I not surprised that a Macfag is worried about appearance?

can't imagine living without handy dandy force touch at this point

you seem nothing short of obsessed with the reputation of brands, which would only matter if you cared about appearances.

calling something a "facebook machine" fairly strongly implies that that's its primary function. that's only true if that's how you direct it. this is the same with basically every generalized tool. you wouldn't call out a model of car just because you saw people driving it to the mall quite often.

how do you justify taking such a stupidly one-sided position and then backtracking like this?

i like the force trackpad too but you could enable that with a three-finger click if you wanted with the older trackpad.

i agree that the force click is much more intuitive, but it's not like you never had this available by gesture/touch (to say nothing of right/option-clicking).

>reputation of brands, which would only matter if you cared about appearances
Reputation=/=appearance. I didn't buy a Windows phone because it looked like shit. I didn't buy one because it was a WINDOWS phone. Microsoft's reputation is what prevented me from buying the phone, not the phone's appearance. Try harder next time.

According to most of the people who actually use Macs, yes, it is a facebook machine.

How is it one-sided, and how am I backtracking?

Why is your shit in English? Fraud.

90% of computers on earth are facebook machines.

I highly doubt that only 10% of machines across the globe aren't consumer machines.

90% of PCs are facebook machines, there.

>o.O
>Yuliya

shutdown -p now

quoting stereotypical phrases and then defend yourself for it.

you are a loser

Stereotypes exist for a reason, user.

Now take the percentage of those PCs, and take all the Windows PCs and Macs. Now compare the amount of people using the machine purely for social media. You'll see that most of the people buying Macs are using social media entirely. And since there are more people on Windows PCs, there are obviously going to be more people doing work and/or social media. But the Windows PCs are half as expensive as the Macs. So those Mac users are both retarded and hungry for some twitter/facebook interaction.

>not using vector graphics in the year of our lord two thousand and sixteen
disgusting, google... just disgusting

>lizard eyes

this proves everything

5/10
made me laugh

>You'll see that most of the people buying Macs are using social media entirely.
Please cite your source.

statista.com/statistics/195792/most-liked-os-on-facebook-by-us-college-students/

>college students access facebook
So what? This doesn't support what you said. Prove that all they do is access facebook.

Did you even open the link? Did you even see the numbers? And what else do i need to provide? What porn they do or don't watch? Find every soundcloud that belongs to a mac user? Those are certainly some high standards you got there, on this chink imageboard.

>Did you even open the link?
I did, but I opened it again and realized what it meant by 'liked' was 'how many facebook likes did the product page have'. So your fake source is even more worthless than before.

How is it a fake source when the majority of college students chose the Mac? That actually bolsters my point that Macs have a reputation of being facebook machines.

>facebook page LIKES
>meaning anything
I'm being fucked with, huh?

Can you really not see the correlation? Facebook page likes. By college students. On operating systems. Done through social media. Mac comes out on top as the most favored OS by college students. Still not seeing the correlation? Or are you just daft?

Oh, so you can't read. Done here.

Not even the guy you're fighting with but
>facebook like means they use a mac
>means they only use social media

don't present the user demographic to try to take down the product

besides, they are better facebook machines :s

I'm not taking down the product. You faggots seem to think that's what I'm trying to do, when I'm simply stating more people use social media on Macs than the people who use Windows. It's funny, because I can buy machines that perform just as well for a way lower price. I mean hell, I have a chromebook, a LITERAL FACEBOOK MACHINE. But I got it for $150, not 2000 fucking dollars.

Also, Macbooks themselves are only good for social media, because once you start doing anything that's demanding, have fun with your burnt thighs.

you've got to be pretty thick if you honestly think that they're only used for facebook, buddy

what are you trying to get at by saying there's a larger demographic of people who use social media on macs than on windows machines? are you trying to cuck the windows race by implying wincucks don't get laid?

fucking trash, i bet you have facebook open right now

>drawing conclusions from exclusionary anecdotes heard from Sup Forums

Don't rest it on your thighs when doing anything intensive.

But yes, the metal does get scorching. Especially against bare skin.

>are you trying to cuck the windows race by implying wincucks don't get laid
No. And I don't use Windows btw.

You're right, I do have facebook open. On my Android phone.

I have a friend who was burned by his Macbook. But let me guess, anecdotal evidence, amirite?

That's easy to say, unless you're on the subway trying to finish editing a video, or animating. That's what all the hipsters do with their Macs nowadays, right?

all pcs and phones are facebook machines too if you wanna get on their demographies

...

and you're who?

The dude that creampies your mom's anus every night.

This is 100% bullshit. My 2015 MacBook Pro has not once lagged or frozen or become unresponsive in the year I've had it. I regularly take it to school for 12 hour days and use it heavily for note taking and pdf reading and I've never even considered taking a charging cable with me. I know the image is b8 but whatever.
