Models actually don't make very much.
Entry level models make only like $50,000 a year, which is barely enough to keep you out of poverty, and your years as a model are limited, because you will age out quick.

You seriously think Sarah is a model?

It's a photoshoot for some fashion catalog.
The standards are much lower.
Plus, there's always niches to fill.

Fat women clothes sell a lot because a lot of fat women exist.

What a gorgeous maiden

i don't think any place on the internet talks about women in tech as much as Sup Forums.

Are you sure they don't mean high test women?

dude ethnic diversity lmao

...

Because a space shuttle launch is left to the professionals....Men

>heart problems
>mental problems
gross

GET. OUT.

>50k/year
>barley enough to keep you out of poverty

wat

>">that face when"

I like how none of the are asian despite them making up like 60% of silicon valley.

you usually have to live in a major eastern/western seaboard city

If I could go back I would choose anything but IT.

And I was the kid who was self learning C and assembler in high school. I find computer hardware and software engineering fascinating, but I fucking hate it as a career.

>tfw iq105 middle management bosses around iq130+ engineers on technical decisions
>tfw corporate is constantly looking for a way to replace you with pajeet
>tfw coder camps flood the field
>tfw neither pajeet nor coder campy can write a proper loop but they're cheaper than you and management doesn't care
>tfw your lifetime earnings are less than any gov employee at any level because their work is lifetime guaranteed with massive benefits

I couldn't have fucked up my life worse if I had gotten a girl pregnant and started doing blow at 15. Hell...at least in that scenario I would have the memories of the girl and the blow.

Not all of us live in towns surrounded on all sides by cornfields

how can she be that big?

i'm almost fascinated. *almost*

Healing some emotional pain by eating and/or never ever doing anything remotely close to exercising, since a very young age.

Holy shit!

Easing, she ain't healing shit.

>not being a girl™ for extra money and easy jobs
You guys act like it's our fault you're stupid.

...

I'm not gonna argue that there are cities in the United States where that is the case, but surely you realize you're in a tiny minority.

Median income is less than 50k in NYC, you know that right?

Where the Asian women

Sure but yesterday I ate 2 whoppers and a pizza for lunch. I haven't excercised since this time last year yet I'm only 70kg. And 6"4 for reference

Not if you are responsible with your money

working

I did the coke and pregnancy thing as a teenager.

would not recommend unless you enjoy minimum wage for a long time and a failed relationship that follows you until you're in your 30s and the guilt of raising a kid separately

I dont want to live in this country anymore.

Some people are tarded with their money.

My sis and her redneck husband make a combined 130k and are still paycheck to paycheck.

Some people just can't wrap their head around finances.

Bottom right is a qt. I'd put my tech in her womanhood.

My parents do the same thing.

My dad recently got a new job, like a 30% increase in wages.

Three days before he even started, before he even got his first fucking paycheck, he had made enough room in his (expected) budget for a new full size truck.

BAM, $750/mo car payment before he even made the money to pay for it.

Fucking idiot.

kek

>$50,000 a year

try more like 30k if you're lucky. there's plenty of girls who do it for free just so they can say they're "models"

>$750/mo

holy shit wow

so much for older people being "adults"

People are going to get mad at this but I bet that it correlates with populations as a whole in the US. More white people in tech jobs because there are more white people in the US in general.

We strive for equality in the workplace, but without taking into account the demographics of the US and the percentage of white to non-white. For an equal number of asians and white people to be into the same field, a dis-proportionally large percentage of total asians would need to be included.

How retarded do you have to be to be on the brink of poverty earning $50k/year?

When people talk about the need for diversity in tech, they aren't usually talking about Asian Americans. Though they make up less than 6 percent of the overall workforce, Asians account for a whopping 17 percent of all tech-sector workers and a far higher percentage of engineers. (At Twitter, for instance, people of Asian descent hold 34 percent of the technical positions.) By focusing exclusively on the obvious need for more blacks, Latinos, and women in Silicon Valley, however, diversity advocates have missed a key point: Asian workers are far less likely than whites to end up in the leadership ranks.

Anyone considering going into programming should read this. I'm just like you -- fascinated with code and computer hardware as kid and developed a love for it.

But programming as career? Fuck. That. It's dehumanizing and market is absolutely saturated with people willing to work for peanuts. You're lucky if you have the same job for more than a year or two. Your bosses are dumbassess who only care about the burning bottom line.

Looking back (and I say this without exaggeration) I would rather be a plumber. The pay is just as good, the hours are better and benefits are fantastic. I made a huge mistake

My fucking sides

KEK

underrated post right here.

Thank you for this.

Sure, I could see some products needing to test a weight limit in the brochure.

If you're not earning a paycheck and you're paying all your own expenses (travel, lodging, etc.), why the fuck would anyone want to be a model?

probably in grad school

at my school over 60% of the grad students are women

maybe i should switch schools

what is the purpose of all this?

Also this isn't an advantage for women as a whole. There's six bitches who are exploiting this gig. That's a lot less than the amount of people currently pretending to be programmers in actual programming jobs.

50k/y just for whoring around in slutty clothes and poses? Woah, women sure have it hard.

I think you missed OP's point.

Holy shit I used to be like that.
I'm now 96kg and 6"4' after joining the army (at uni now) so take it from me, if you're that tall give the gym a go.
Your body will get big fucking quickly, and the girls will fawn. Only took me 5 months (though, that's army.... So no prizes for guessing to how rough it was).

Ausfag by the way, I miss my 6 figure army pay checks.

Depends entirely on the kind of modelling you're doing. Personal contacts makes a lot more than agency work: agencies take a huge cut and do dirty deeds like double-booking. Do the, um, really high-end stuff and you can retire, for the price of having done the really high-end stuff of course.

Different country, but London would definitely get you solid work continuously; but in my experience you usually have to travel for the good stuff. Lots of time on trains.

You will have to do TFCD jobs to build up a portfolio and keep it current. When you're paid, you're paid in exchange for modelling rights. When you're not paid, you're not paid in exchange for the tog giving you © permission.

Because you're also paying the studio/venue and photographers/riggers/etc and you're business partners in the
porn
sites, drawing dividends of royalties.

Also, shit's fun.

Said someone who doesn't do their own makeup, has never been sewn into a dress, done a shoot in the snow or changed on a pub toilet floor with 20 other models.
