Rope.

...

Probably my PC build which I have been putting off forever. Finally going to own an actual desktop. I have all the other peripherals that go along with it which is nice, so it'll be concentrated on the tower.

That surfacebook would be nice

Though higher on priority has a better chair or a new mobo + zen/1070

waiting for a 2nd gen vive headset

RX480
gonna be my first dedicated GPU after onboard laptop graphics and an APU

OnePlus 3

meizu m3s

If I manage to sell my current GPU the 480 will be it

Otherwise, nothing in particular.

Either a RX270 or an X260

>what do you have your eye on next?
I need a media PC for my TV, so I'm gonna buy a new motherboard, CPU, and video card for my computer and use the old ones for the media PC.

Probably a little NAS in order to centralise my data, have it accessible from all my devices and for more redundancy.
Last purchase was a goiym 1070 to replace my diying 660.

Probably a portable 2tb drive
The porn on my computer is taking up too much space and I'd like to be able to remove and store it elsewhere at will.

OnePlus 3 and/or a GTX 1070.
I sold my i7 3770k desktop with a 970 and 16GB of ram for $950. So I got a 6700k with mini itx mb and 32GB of ram so far. Also eyeing the node 202 or the Dan a4 sfx right now.

...

cooltek umx 3

MacBook A1342

Looking for a shitposting and iTunes machine with OS X.
Also, dat unibody.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7

Edge screen is a meme, but iPhone 7 is confirmed to be a rehash, so it's the best thing that's going to come out this year (bar HTC releasing a monster Nexus)

real workstation with dual xeons, sli and quad monitors. gonna be a while before i need it tho.

You know Sony exist, right?

>Unironically telling me to buy a Sony Xperia X

Go home user

A 15 inch Macbook Pro when they refresh it this year.

What do you think about the OLED function keys? I feel like if anyone is going to make it useful it's going to be apple but boi is it a big ask. Would love to see enhanced clipboards though, multiple copy bins and perhaps better/custom windows management idk wbu?

I personally couldn't care less about the OLED touchbar. What I am most excited about it the Polaris GPU and the 4 thunderbolt 3 ports it will have, as well as Skylake H.265 encoding and decoding.

X sucks.

Wait for X Performance.

It's going to be better than any of us are imagining

An external tb3 gpu when they are more common and cheaper.

a mobile phone

You buy that outdated chinkbook! Yea, burn that money to the ground! Seriously though, wait until the refresh since the prices won't really change anyways and you will get a better overall machine

Probably a Note 7.

a thin gf

OnePlus One, they're dirt cheap now. Time to upgrade from Moto G 2013.

Big purchase?

An iPhone SE.

Rx 480 + Chink Shit + X220 tablet

Note 7. Stuck on the Note 4 for years now. It's pretty gud.

I don't know.

I got a ~$4000 dream build idea I want, but would need a proper machine shop to make some of the custom parts (full case heat sink integration). Wonder if I should just pay a good company to custom build it with more standardized parts, that would be far less work, but I would need to pick a good company. As such a big build would need to last me for many years.

Some cheap netbook for Linux, but wonder if it is worth it as none of them have much RAM which I would need to offset other things.

Or some newer used cheap desktop to mess with, seen some decent ones for ~$300. But I got a older one for free and think it will work fine once I get it to boot from USB.

So no real purchase plans, just ramblings right now.

10TB RAID to store my collection of linux ISOs

This

A new GPU, upgrading from GTX 680. Not sure if I should get a 1070 or 480.

Nothing
Lost interest in meme consumertard tech

That looks cool. Too bad they don't have an expected release date yet

Get the GTX 480 :^)

...

2016 rMbp. I will buy it just to run Windows 7 on it. I trust Apple products last just as much as my trusty T420 and so, why not have homOSeX or MacOs and run Windows alongside in one machine. Red or blue pill me on this.... thanks

OLED chinkpad yoga if it comes out this century.

have apogee
fucking prices for duet/quartet/ensemble
my lord

what exactly do you need windows for?
had it for long time, never used it, got rid of it and haven't looked back

Just bought an 84 key IBM model f AT next purchases are new in box model m and a few model f 107

...

Apple has not really been updating their Microsoft driver support, it not the biggest problem from what I know, but I haven't been updating like most and suspect it could be an issue to look into.

(I got a 2009 MBP running Windows 7 off of Lion, it actually ran sightly better with Snow Leopard as base support OS)

I know my mouse drops in hibernate, so I changed all hibernate conditions to sleep and moved on with life. But I was annoyed on principles and suspect these things will get worse over time if new stuff doesn't get proper support.

While I like their hardware I think you are making this more complicated and expensive then you need to. I know am not paying for Apple next time, as I had a amazing setup but updates slowly washed away the glory it had. It still works fine, but not like it did.

:^^))

Need a new phone it's between the lg G5, moto Z Force, oneplus 3, or waiting for the new Nexus phones

Wanted to buy r9 390 nitro
But everyone is telling me to wait for the new groundbreaking generation of graphics card polaris shit

Man I just want to play all games on max setting 60fps1080p

>MacBook A1342
oh shit that thing can run sierra

damn if apple made those with skylake/kaby lake and updated the wireless chip for continuity, removed the optical drive, added a bigger battery, updated the trackpad and sold em for $500-600 they'd kill it. they could just keep the same physical design

Nexus 5X and selling my 6S tbqh famalam. iOS 10 didn't bring anything and the new design decisions look fucking awful.

I am THIS fucking close to getting one of those gold or rose gold 12-inch Macbooks with the Retina screen, and I know I'm in dire need of an intervention.

But what else is there to buy? I need a light, quiet, and durable notebook that's ultra-portable and runs an OS that isn't made for babies. As bad as OS X may be, at least it's not fucking Windows 10. I hate what Microsoft has done with the thing.

And Linux, I don't know but sure while I'm open to using it on the Macbook, I figure it's going to be loads better to just run with El Capitan.

So what do I do? I've been through netbooks, laptops, ThinkPads, and I've tried Macbooks before. But I really can't see an alternative to the base level 12-inch Macbook with the Core m3, that will only cost me around $1299.

Can anyone name me a better laptop for the money? For context, I'll need it for writing (lots and lots of writing), some web site coding, and light entertainment (Source games? Definitely watching movies).

Help me Sup Forums

This sounds like a win. Hope you have cp on there so you can quickly wipe if you get knocked.

I'm waiting for Windows 10 to stop being shit on mobile and tablet.

Then I can buy either a new smartphone or a new tablet. Or, if I'm lucky, a bendable tablet that turns into a smartphone that isn't Xbox hueg.
I want my phone to be 3.8" at most.

Also, once Zen is out, I can gauge if I should go Intel or AMD for my CPU upgrade to something that isn't shit, as well as switching to DDR4. Currently running a Celeron.

Computer upgrade, most likely GPU.

Gotta finally get rid of this house fire 8800GT and stop being so Jewish. Hoping AMD isn't memeing me to death, but I'm gonna wait for some real-world benchmarks and temperatures before I make the jump. Worst case I bite the bullet and get a used 980.

I've been incrementally upgrading for so long I don't know if my body can handle the shock of such a change.

Maybe this?
store.asus.com/us/item/201510AM170008061/A38909
>13″
>decent specs, better than macbook I’d say
>high res screen
>cheaper
>touch screen if you give a shit
>light, quiet, durable
>only a little bit heavier
>better ports

I'm trying not to spend too much more than $700 but
I'm looking for a laptop for graduate school that's 13"-14" with a nice and functional design, that includes the mouse pad much better than my current shit laptop (I'm looking at you Sony vaio E series) and SSD.
I also need decent performance for occasional light gaming with emulators and general multi tasking with browsers. If windows, I prefer to have an option of windows 7 pro or home, whatever it takes to get away from 10. Right now this lenovo think pad 13(pic related) is the only P.C. that seems to fit. I'm not 100% sure about the mouse pad design though. I'm also looking at Asus Zenbook UX305UA, which is touch screen and a refurbished mac book air on Amazon or the apple store.

...

Gasoline

Probably one of the RX 4xx series GPUs for my current PC.

Currently rocking an ATi Radeon HD 4670 card, still going strong (but not as strong as I'd like).

Thanks user

My problems with the UX305

>the trackpad is terrible
>the keyboard feels no different than a $100 netbook at this point
>it's too wide/tall for some of my bags
>that fucking Windows 10 OS

Still, I could consider it...

Fuck, those things were sexy.

A surface 3 2gb or 4gb or even a 4 pro

I have not decided yet.
I just want it for University pdfs, Office and occasional youtube-ing

A USB wifi adapter because my wifi card on my old build is too janky on WINDOWS 10 and I'm too lazy to swap out for a newer card.

>A surface 3 2gb or 4gb
Get 4GB.
2GB is agonizing.

Also, don't "upgrade" to Windows 8 if you intend to actually use it as a tablet once in a while, instead of as a notebook with touch.
Windows 10 tablet support is criminally bad.

>to Windows 8
*Windows 10

oh you've tried it? If you’ve tried both, I’m sure you know which you prefer physically though I haven’t heard good things about the Macbook keyboard.

btw that model does not have a touchscreen I was thinking of another CA model

I think Linux might be an option

In actual fact I was at the ASUS HQ in Taipei, Taiwan when I went to Computex this year, and in the lobby they had one of the UX305's on the display. It's here in the photo. I tried it, it looked good from afar but really after 1-2 seconds up close and under scrutiny it just doesn't hold up.

Sure, it's thin and light. But it's also built with much of the same flimsy plastic found on much cheaper laptops. The keyboard has been awful since the very first Zenbooks, which I also got to witness and experience. The trackpad is big but it's shit.

I didn't come here to bash on Asus, mind. Just saying my thoughts on what most people probably think of when they try to come up with a Macbook alternative that's cheap and accessible. The Asus marketing machine is impeccable.

All with 4gb are with win10 unfortunately.
So i have to go with that

Whatever the next Nexus is, as long as it's 5.5 inches

I think that’s the flip model or something, the 305CA models are supposed to be aluminum

But the cooling is shit..

The track pad sucks? Damn. What is intel M and how useful is it? I haven't heard of it until now wit these Zenbooks.

Nice

Is it? Do you own this case?

dat boi

Why not the Macbook Pro 13 inch? Only a tad bit bigger and offers so much more for your money.

Not him but 12" is the perfect laptop size. I'd be more than willing to go for less power for a better size. Only things keeping me from the MacBook are the lack of ports and the shit keyboard.

I don't normally recommend thinkpads but have you looked at the X260?

16:9's a deal breaker

If the benchmarks for the 480 are good enough, I'm going to pick up that and an Acer XG270HU. Otherwise, I'm waiting for the 490 and the aftermarket 1070s.

Probably getting this combo for my mom
newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.2254090

Thoughts?

gonna buy me a nice browser like chrome or firefox

What's a good table / laptop that can run Photoshop, illustrator, premier pro, after effects etc.

Probably this whenever it hits general availability.

>He thinks it'll be a dynamic OLED display and not just a shitty LED touch strip with fixed controls

Kindle paperwhite
4k monitor
Building a new pc
Next mbp
Probably a nice watch.

Vega, whatever the Fury X equivalent is.

Need a new pair of headphones, keep breaking them. Probably got about £40/US$55 spare to get them.

Anyone have any recommendations? Otherwise I might get another pair of KZs (even though I've had the ZN1s for a few weeks and they broke).

God damn it nvidia

This, along with whatever video card suits me best at the time.

Also, possibly a Corsair K70, and an M65 Pro

note 7

only if it has an sd card slot

EVERYBODY POSTS
NOBODY REPLIES

I'm looking at Zen and Vega for future upgrades, maybe an NVMe SSD while I'm at it. Hopefully by then, there will be freesync monitors that aren't shit. I just want a 1440p 120Hz IPS freesync monitor with the full freesync range.

The trackpad is pretty much standard fare for a Windows notebook. It's like what I said with the keyboard, it's not that much different from what you'll find even on those old Atom netbooks.

Even on the metal models as mentions, the disappointing keyboard and trackpad are still there. I'm using an Acer laptop right now that's probably worth around $300. And I can't tell for certain that typing on the UX305 would be an upgrade in terms of user experience.

>laptop upgrades
>rackmount case for desktop
>server upgrades
>pcie ssd's for server and desktop
