You think you're so edgy and techy because you frequent this board? Give me a fucking break

You think you're so edgy and techy because you frequent this board? Give me a fucking break.

If you have never done ANY of the following:

- Created your own IP network with VLANS, subnetting, Traffic Shaping and Load Balacing
- Written a Group Policy Object in AD for a DC
- Programmed in C for embedded devices
- Designed a virtualized system using ESX or Hyper-V
- Created a Linux Domain Controller

Then you're just a fucking poser.

Get the FUCK out, gaymers and script children.

That's my name, bae

>mfw I've done all these

You're one of the few, user.

i enstulled jen2 once

i've written a basic mulititasking kernel in mips. Does that count?

Ew, i dont want to do any of that. I just walla chill and write javeEE software. If thinks they are so edgy it's you, faggot. Oh god I just took the b8 didnt I.

>if you haven't done entry level junior sys admin shot then gtfo
kek

I've done all but the 4th in college, and it was a course for retarded people.
Stop your shitposting

Buttmad script children

I'm actively learning group policy as well as window server. The problem is I dont have access to a server and a client to practice with. I intend on building a lab for research. I have done some c, but put it on hold to get more certs while I still have state funding. Goal in life is to be a sys admin in charge of a large number of an enterprise system.

I'm 10 months clean from heroin at 23. Starting school in the fall. I've earned all of the Microsoft technology associate and Microsoft office specialist certifications because a local state funded program paid for them. I just got funding through VESSID so they'll reimburse any money I spend on certs going forward. Studying for a+ now.

Seeing as I was sleeping under a bridge with a give heroin habit last year, and that I've been at least a hobbyist with computers since i was 15, I don't think I qualify as a novice.

I'm 18 and have done all of those except programming in C, however I did program for Arduino so close enough. And all this while I've just finished my first year of college.

>Hurr durr I'm real tech guy and you all shit!
Honestly you are getting btfo by an 18 year old. Step up your game or leave the board.

Good on you user. Good to see that you are bettering yourself. Keep a laser-like focus and don't stop.

Hey user, congratulations! You have qualified to actually post on this board. Savor it. We're both pretty young and savvy.

All but the third item are trivial things you should have already done at work, and the third item you will have done if you went to any university or technical institute. I don't see an issue with your list.

dafuq is this, a support circle? Get cynical or GTFO REEEEEE

I implemented a microcode layer to a modelled pic16f on hdl.
I dont know if that counts.

I'm just here to shitpost and trashtalk niggers who think they're clever because they wrote some "code" for some whit no one gives a FUCK about.

Sorry kid, if your job is computers you should probably just kys now and be done with it.

:^)

Alright m8. I will catch this b8. I take this post as a challenge.

Being "tech"-y and being "program"-y are not the same thing.

Tech implies the physical, like hardware
Programming implies the non-physical, like software

So please fuck off.

It's never a bad idea to git gud, user.

LET YOUR RAGE FUEL THAT FIRE

>Hurrr i an electrical engeneral and programmers are shit.
I mean i could say if you dont know at least 10 programming langs at a professional level you are a pleb but i have nothing to prove. I know what I am worth when my paychecks roll in and my code doesnt explode in production.

You are qualified to post, user. Welcome to Sup Forums!

>namefagging
And guess who's new here.

College fags get out REEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Fucking shit user, i'm so proud of you. Your doing something good with your life, you have your mind straight. M8 no matter how hard it gets just keep pushing foward, never give up user. You can fucking do it! Anything that you want! Nobody can hold you back.
user I wish the best for you, I really fucking do.
Your going to do amazing things with your life, godspeed bro, your the man.

Also why Heroin? Literally one of the worst drugs.

>- Programmed in C for embedded devices
The criteria is pretty accurate except for this line. Coding is an entirely different animal then the other items you listed. I've done all except for programming in C and I'm far from a filthy casual.

Close enough! You qualify, user.

I am a wed designer, i just come here to calmly watch the monkies fling shit

You think you're so edgy and techy because you frequent this board? Give me a fucking break.

If you have never done ANY of the following:

- Installed Gentoo

Then you're just a fucking poser.

Get the FUCK out, sysadmins and programmers.

Yes, I'm also a sysadmin

>technology=doing nerd things on computers

>- Written a Group Policy Object in AD for a DC
>- Designed a virtualized system using ESX or Hyper-V
Proprietary garbage, YOU get out re~

lol

Sup Forums isn't a sysadmin board and it never was and it never will be.

Do I smell a new pasta?

>not posting as user
>thinks they're all that
>probably works minimum wage
>mommy and daddy paid for college
>cries at night for being all alone due to being a narcissistic cunt

I've done the first two, neither of which are very complicated.

Congrats user! You qualify.

This

Is Sup Forums mostly comprised of people from Sup Forums looking for tech supports and who want another board to shit their videocard/product fanboyism into?

People here who know ANYTHING about technology, coding, or sysadminating seem to be incredibly rare.

I bet you don't even have a code of conduct in your github repo, shitlord.

I once made spaghetti carbonara, does that count?

I've done the first and last one, back when ironically enough, I created and built a dedicated server with a static IP address for Unreal Tournament 2004.

I've forgotten how to do most of that stuff now it was 10 years ago when I did it but I still have the server.

I work on group policy at Microsoft nerd

If being a sysadmin is the requirement, then that's fairly low on the totem poll of technology and just about any chink could qualify in a weeks worth of training

Sup Forums is mostly gamers, dilettantes, and hobby programmers.

And then there are the handful of sysadmins who act superior because of their boring jobs.

I did a bit of assembly on Hit Clips from Hasbro once. I don't feel like explaining all my more important projects. It's very technical, dipstick.

That's fairly true, though everyone assumes that someone talking about a GPU is a gaymen whore and forgets that some applications/workloads benefit from GPU acceleration

You don't need to be a tech expert to make money with goldminer.io

GTFO

Is it really worth it? Other user told me no.
Seems kinda interesting.

I wish I could find a term to succinctly describe those "I'm an old man, I get shit done, you kiddies just kid around, while I solve problems... You kiddies'd never make it in the real world, like me, because I do what works and get shit done" people.

The people that regurgitate shit like that, without any reasonably prompt to, are nearly as bad as all the NEETs and dilettantes who spout simplistic opinions for things they've never even used.
