the Xiaomi actually runs Android TV, much like the Nexus Player and Nvidia Shield TV. I think a lot of generic boxes came out just before android TV (kitkat) and so they're just running the phone/tablet OS re-kegigered unofficially to be more TV friendly.
I'd go with the Xiaomi.

You have to know sometimes you get bad quality control with KZ. Eg. A missing ear tip, a ear tip that looks deformed, a missing dust filter in one earphone, paint scuffs even if it's new.
