> be me > graduate from uni > love C programming > want to be a cool hacker so I join a security company > fucking read assembly all fucking day > only write C programs that are about 100 lines
Fuck this shit. I have a headache from tracing so much assembly. I've been writing Python over the weekends so I can remember what programming actually feels like.
Logan Clark
where from and how much are you paid?
Oliver Robinson
>living the dream >complains about it

I started recently, I'm making 80k a year. It's good for starting I think.
I live in the United States on the East coast. Don't want to get more specific than that.

Asher Ward

France has a HUGE need of security h4xxors. Atleast in north/paris/east.
Matthew Lee
just write python scripts that help you analyze the assembly code
Blake Cruz
French companies don't even know what they need
Thomas Butler
I make 25k a year doing hard labor outside, no benefits. Fuck you op.
Logan Mitchell
Security consulting is huge because those companies once they get fucked and lose millions learn that it's no joke, so they hire consultants, that are really , really fucking expensive because there's no "official" and good training to become one.
Henry Rogers
>there's no "official" and good training to become one CISSP/OSCP would be appreciated by any "dir tech" if they needed it most french servers I pentest don't even have fail2ban, they just don't give a shit
Brandon Stewart
>really fucking expensive because there's no "official" and good training to become one.
There's literally a career about it, system security specialist.
Nathaniel Anderson
A good command of C and assembly can land you a job in the embedded industry. Especially if you also have some electronics skills.
Hunter Bennett

Jeremiah Morris
You're literally retarded, I hope this is b8.
Brandon Flores

Liam Rogers
>wants to be a hacker >does not know APL
I'll have a Large fry plz OP
Isaac Lopez
Reading assembly, compiler-generated x86 in particular, is literally brain damaging.
Zachary Rogers
x86 is bad. Compiler generated x86 is worse. Compiler writers have praised their own superiority for more than 20 years but it doesn't hold water. I was an adequately remunerated embedded programmer simply because I could write better assembly than the compilers could. Otherwise I would not have gotten the jobs.
Other processors are better and 6502 remains a favourite even today.
Matthew Harris
> be me > graduate from uni > love C programming > want to be a cool hacker so I join a web/mobile app company as a security engineer > break comfy apps all day > write occasional python scripts for proof of concepts Life is p comfy right now
