What's next?
What is missing?

>mpv

I think mpdn is still better than mpv and madvr on windows.
However I don't know why it randomly needs to optimize extensions.

mpv + youtube-dl = enjoy your free daily porn

>It's a female
Whats wrong with you?

>mpdn

Is this new or something? I've never heard it mentioned before, presumably because it's .Net and Sup Forums has an eternal hateboner for Windows.

Is it any good?

They don't know what they're doing and copy-paste code.

How can I fix stuttering in panning scenes (in anime of course)?

>>github.com/haasn/gentoo-conf/blob/nanodesu/home/nand/.mpv/mpv.conf

Huh? this is shit, and takes hella long to compress pauses the video as well, the fuck hassn?

vo=opengl-hq:interpolation
video-sync=display-resample

>Huh? this is shit, and takes hella long to compress pauses the video as well, the fuck hassn?
I always like it when people display their own fucking stupidity, e.g. you claiming stuff about long taking compression right below options that disable compression.
The only bad thing is that dealing with ppl like you is so time consuming...

Maybe get a decent computer. My laptop has no problem taking such a screenshot without pausing.

haasn seems to have a separate program watching that folder for screendumps, and runs said dumps through ImageMagick instead of compressing them inside an mpv thread. I imagine that one day this will be handed off to another thread more efficiently.

Damn this player is so fast .___.
Thanks a lot OP !

might try it out thanks.

I was also wondering what does cache even do
# TFW fell for the 16 GiB RAM meme
cache=auto
cache-default=8000000
cache-initial=1000
cache-seek-min=2000
cache-secs=1000

Gonna check out what I don't have from these configs and check they do on the manual later today, gonna try and fix up his hassn image conf for my preference too.

I think it's shit, presets are shit.
Use madvr not opegl you MORONS!!

So, I noticed that there is a new "stats.conf" is it me being a little bit drunk or is this new?

Thanks for your highly valued input on the presets, Madashi.

Opengl is slower on muh pc so fuck all y'all!

5 rubels have been deposited into your microsoft account

I like MPlayer AND mpv with a GUI.

also using opengl as output

>2016
>Still using mpv.
You need to die, stupid freetards.

Just ignore it, there are people that even use vim, MPV is nowhere that level, it is okay, although I prefer proper GUI instead of annoying OSDs.

Its another closed source botnet.

Wait, am I having a stroke?
With user-shaders="~~/shaders/nnedi3-nns128-win8x6-all.hook" I have no performance decrease (running an intel Core i7 2600k + R9 390 8GB)!

With the nnedi3 preset in mpv I used to have choppy playback even with only 16 neurons!

Is the shader way better than the preset or does it just not work?

It seems exploitative. It has a closed-source core and it's trying to encourage an ecosystem of open-source plugins. If it becomes popular, it will be because of its community, but they won't give back by opening their own code. The devs are probably cut from the same egotistical Doom9 cloth as madshi. Only mpv seems to care about improving the state of video playback as a whole by opening their own code. Now anyone can make their own video player using libmpv and anyone can use the same algorithms as mpv just by studying mpv's code.

Anyone else here use mpv as a photo viewer? Was quite a great revelation for me. It shits all over wangblows photo viewer both the win32 and uwp versions.

Who /VLC/ masterrace here?

memepleb/v/ users BTFO!

since when retards are master race?

so just migrated from to GNU/Linux so how do I use mpv to watch 10bit animes or whatever.

I've used mpv as a photo viewer when I forget the command for my actual photo viewer, and yeah it works surprisingly well. Also good wit --loop=inf for a quick "slideshow mode"

You probably fucked up somewhere, maybe typed it in wrong. NNEDI3 with 128 neurons is taxing, not even madVR can run it very well.

it also applies nnedi3 to both luma and chroma
probably just doesn't work

>NNEDI3 with 128 neurons is taxing, not even madVR can run it very well.

Hence me asking here. It seems to run too well.
I am running vo:opengl-hq with backend=dxinterop, maybe that interferes?

I use this

gist.github.com/haasn/7919afd765e308fa91cbe19a64631d0f

User shaders work with dxinterop so that's not it.

Post your entire config on pastebin and link it here.

Also, what folder did you drop "nnedi3-nns128-win8x6-all.hook" in?

>[vo/opengl-hq] after init_gl: OpenGL error INVALID_ENUM.
Latest build showing this. Whats this?

pastebin.com/n5mNfkB0

Put it in %APPDATA%/mpv/shaders

entering mpv -v in console also shows that the entire vo-line works as intended

A bug introduced in commit 788929e. I don't think it actually affects anything with

Fixed.

What's the best repository to get mpv from in arch? I want every feature and be able to use those user scripts

>github.com/haasn/gentoo-conf/blob/nanodesu/home/nand/.mpv/input-image.conf
How come your input-image.conf does not work for me, I legit even used your entire config.
I think it's pretty stupid to use it as a photo viewer, but I wanna do it for fun

Your missing a command on hassn's mpv.conf file for it to work.

So.. I am missing a command from his own mpv.conf that I downloaded as well?

I've made a user script to allow mpv to stream magnet links using peerflix, if someone wants to try it out:

gist.github.com/ElegantMonkey/bba287693830055a6bad90081c1ad4e2

How do I bind 2 different commands to one key? 2 lines for the same key in input.conf still only execute one of the commands.

key command1 ; command2

You need to run it using the profile in Haasn's conf.

# Image files (e.g. for using mpv as a pseudo image viewer)
[image]
vo=opengl-hq:scale=ewa_lanczossharp:background=0.1
input-conf=~~/input-image.conf
video-unscaled=yes
title="mvi - ${?media-title:${media-title}}${!media-title:No file}"

>pastebin.com/n5mNfkB0

Remove "deband", it's already built into opengl-hq. Remove "prescale-downscaling-threshold=1.5", it doesn't work with user shaders. You could try putting user-shaders="~~/shaders/nnedi3-nns128-win8x6-all.hook" at the end.

let me guess cmd?

Yes.

"mpv -profile image *insert file here*" and it will work.

How to play a slideshow of pictures?
Preferable with a delay like 5 seconds.

So you are telling me I have to go trough a CMD to open an image on mpv?

That's really cool. I'm not on linux so I can't test it, how is the quality? I remembner trying qbittorrents streaming and it's really laggy and bad quality.

Are you genuinely retarded, pretending to be stupid, or just woefully underinformed?

Default delay for images is 1 sec so:
mpv --speed=0.2 file1.png file2.jpeg ....
or add something like that to your config for all needed extensions.
[extension.jpeg]
speed=0.2
[extension.jpg]
speed=0.2
[extension.jpe]
speed=0.2
[extension.png]
speed=0.2

That's perfect! Thank you kind user.

this or then you can script it something like this hastebin.com/cafozegako.lua pretty crude and no error checks but you get the idea

typo there on timecheck, change it to automate

If you mean by quality if the stream lags/stutters, that kinda depends on your connection speed and the torrent availability, but it should be fine. Takes a few seconds to start the video, though.

If you mean the video quality, there's no difference between streaming and downloading.

Is there a way to force x,y,w,h of the window? (So the slideshow stays at the bottom right corner of the screen, as example.) It seems by default the window autofits the picture size.

Also nice solution. Thank you, buddy.
Combining this to a slideshow profile.

--geometry=

>So you are telling me I have to go trough a CMD to open an image on mpv?
Well, that's no issue for someone working and navigating with a CMD anyway, it's only a problem for you using GUI stuff all day long...

You can make a shortcut or a batch.

Not really related but does someone know why am I getting blank blue page with menu at the top right corner instead of pastas on hastebin?

dude just set mf-fps=0.2 instead of this repetitive bullshit

my purple video

> mf-fps
Did not know about that. Thanks.

Does youtube-dl work on ustream?

It took me literally 3 seconds to find that out. In the interested of proving my point, I won't tell you the answer.

>He literally copy and paste Haasn's mpv settings without understanding what it does.
No. You need to SWITCH to the image profile in order for the haasn imageviewer inputs to works.

> BUT, BUT, HAVE TO USE A TERMINAL
You actually don't have to, and you can automate mpv commands too.

What am I doing wrong?

doesn't work on windows?
If I run from cmd:
Invalid torrent identifier

If I run from msys:
Failed to open localhost:8888.

Using an outdated version of ANGLE.

>Dropped: 3331
jesus fucking christ what's wrong with your hardware

Intel HD 3000. Older versions of mpv never dropped this bad.

I'm using the 2016-06-15 version from rorgoroth's BitBucket, which I assume is the latest stable. That's outdated already?

Thank you senpai. I've been wondering if there was an update.

ANGLE != mpv

blame rorgoroth for shipping an old ANGLE with a new mpv

>using directx 10 gpu

Is that hwdec=auto-copy? ANGLE can't do proper copyback as far as I can see, hwdec=dxva2 should be fine

Ah. Good thing I'm using MPV then I suppose.

why not hwdec=no?

No, just hwdec=auto

Use the sourceforge one. It always has latest ANGLE built-in

Where should I get the correct version then?

The only two people I'd trust to make correct windows builds are lachs0r and rossy

My advice would be to wait for the next mpv stable release and get it off mpv.srsfckn.biz

>hwdec=auto-copy
it would be dxva2-copy or d3d11va-copy then and nv12, not d3d11_nv12

OP post, sourceforge

It's not dx11?

no, DirectX 10.1
notebookcheck.net/Intel-HD-Graphics-3000.37948.0.html

Why is it lying to me

Just trust Microsoft you dumb stupid goy :^)

sudo ./waf uninstall
sudo ./waf clean
sudo ./waf distclean
git pull
./waf configure --enable-gpl3
./waf build -j4
sudo ./waf install

I've been using this to build mpv for quite a while, but now the waf script doesn't have a gpl3 option. What gives? What do I do now for NNEDI?

none. removed from mpv

github.com/mpv-player/mpv/commit/61bc96518afcfabfa07d6724ea517db5e9aba165

It's here now as a user shader.
github.com/bjin/mpv-prescalers

Well shit. Why was it removed?
