well this is kinda obscure. I go on /p/ and do astrophotography. Now most of the really impressive pictures you see of galaxies, nebulae, and all that are lots of separate exposures that get "stacked" - combined in software to raise contrast, reduce noise, and accumulate enough light to make really dim things look bright and colorful and spectacular.

The software that does this is all for Windows. Some of its paid proprietary (PixInsight), some of its freeware but not free software (DeepSkyStacker), and as far as I know there's no native Linux software for doing this task.

gimp

Always wondered what cartoon is she from?

I think it is Inazuma 11

sure you can do it manually in Gimp. When you have 60+ images, plus dark frames, flat frames, bias frames, etc, though, you really need something that does this one particular task automatically.

You can do it by hand in photoshop on windows and mac, too, but people generally don't because it quickly becomes so cumbersome.

stop being lazy.

why is there dedicated software for doing this on Windows if there's no reason for it? everyone just being too lazy to spend six hours stacking by hand?

dude...

Damn I just opened Sup Forums after few days and the first line of posts it's entirely anime pictures - the summer is at peak.

if you don't like it because you have no idea how to code it that's okay, just say so.

- A good alternative to Jenkins
- An init system compatible with systemd units without the rest of the systemd bullshit
- A C build system that wasn't shit and supported nuanced use-cases
- A good mail server

dude, back the f*ck off...last warning...

More/better open source gaymes.

hey, you asked what open-source projects people wished existed. I wish that existed. don't blame someone for answering your question

ok...that's it...

now i'm REALLY angry....

OP here. you're arguing with someone else that got upset over your stuff.

Who is this disgusting whore?

A decent Opera 12 successor

That sounds like something that can be scripted.
You can use python to write The Gimp scripts.
So hop to it! You have no excuse now.

Me I want C bindings to qt.
I don't to learn C++.
That's what's stopping me from saying bye bye to GTK+
The 'G' in GTK+ stands for GNOME.
And fuck GNOME.

>>You can use python to write The Gimp scripts.
I didn't know that actually
I'll look into this
then I can make my own thread about what I wrote and argue with more people

project with focus on semiconductor test data management

Madotsuki a qt

A file manager with the features of dolphin or nautilus that doesn't require half of the respective DEs in dependencies.

Who's that filthy whore in the op?

I want to do a cum tribute before flushing her down the toilet with my shit.

The G in GTK stands for gimp, retard.

kill yourself

buildbot
impossible by definition
gnu make
squirrel

Why? I just want to cum all over your disgusting slut

I'm not OP, I just want you to kill yourself

It would make the world a better place

There's this project where some people are trying to reverse-engineer windows 2000 or xp or something so they can remove all the bloat and spyware shit.

Anyone remember the name?

No it wouldn't because the weaboos wouldn't be dead.

Name? I'm gearing up to bust a nut here.

reactos

Ubuntu with wine.

Trust me, I love anime, and that makes me smarter than you.

>hates anime and weeaboos
>faps to hentai

I'm sorry to hear about your confusion and mental illness

>Ubuntu
stop

This. Gentoo or bust.

No.
Not anymore sadly.
GNOME has EMBRACED and EXTENDED GTK from The Gimp.
Now G(NOME)TK+ treats other projects outside of the core GNOME as an afterthought.
They are at the fringes awaiting EXTINCTION.
You can't really call it a platform independent graphics toolkit.
I write GNU+Linux software.
I don't (nor shall I ever) write GNOME software.
Fuck GNOME and its patron.

I wish windows was open source
