Which audio interface does Sup Forums use

I'm thinking about buying a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6

Why do you need 12 I/O?
The 2i2 or the Solo are just fine

steinberg ur22

is audio interface good for listening music and playing vidya?

alesis multimix4

mainly because i wanted hardware level controls that my old m-audio firewire thing didn't have

cuz I'm in a band with my 2 turtles and everyone of us is playing an instrument
jk cuz it's the smallest one if the Scarlett interfaces the store in my city has on storage

Have that.
Driver are sometimes a bit buggy in W7, otherwise it is nice but very basic.
Drives my Adams nicely

An audio interface is good for recording and monitoring. If you just want to listen to audio, buy a DAC.

I had one, and volume output was really low. Didn't bother to troubleshoot and got this instead.

I have UR22 and the headphone output volume is quite low. It's adequate unless your headphones are fairly insensitive and you are using DSP. I have no comparison to Scarlett 6i6.

Focusrite, top kek.

pretty good. phantom power is a bit low though

Currently use an apollo 8p quad with a quad satellite. Been through most of them over the years including a couple HD systems (fuck avid). Here is my current set up, ama I guess, been in the industry long enough to make enough money and work with tons of different people. Pic is from a couple weeks back. In the process of remodelling the room at the moment

Get the 6i6 user,
Pretty much Zero-latency which you can't achieve with a 92kHz interface for that price
Great Software interface and it sounds fantastic
Midi on the back is also handy

>M'Audio interface

lol no

>schlemiel

Kankerveel gitaren

I have a 2i4 I got for $100 but in bad condition
it works well besides some driver issues and slow/distorted audio upon boot
If you plan on buying it brand new buy the new second generation 6i6, I believe there are some in stock on amazon

I use a Profire 610.

If you already have one, don't buy a DAC. If you don't have one and don't need one, buy a DAC.

Why not?

NI Komplete Audio 6, does its job.

what OS you using? how's the drivers?

Saffire Pro 40.

Was working great, but I'm getting a lot of noise now over my monitors with the new build. Using a PCI-E firewire card with a TI chipset, so I don't know what the fuck.

Their shit is bottom of the barrel chink-tier. Having said that, I have an ancient MIDI interface of theirs that's still working great, but their quality seems to have dropped off quite a bit since then. I had awful experiences with two of their audio interfaces.

OSX Yosemite, Drivers work fine, haven't got a problem, on Logic Pro X at least.

Used to work with Studio One on Windows 7, but the Asio Drivers are a pain to work with.

Behringer UM2
Literally only $30 at B&H

Meant for you

Do NOT get Behringer. This brand is hit and miss on quality. And if you got a miss, prepare for some audio garbage. Behringer is that cheap for a reason..

Seconding. They're even worse than m-audio.

Mine had some issues at first, but I think it was OS bound because upgrading to windows 10 seemed to fix it.

RME fireface you poorfags

It's not about the firmware, it's about the cheap hardware components inside of it. I had a Behringer DJX750 as my first mixer. This thing is a piece of shit compared to for example Pioneer or A&H hardware.

nice lair m8ey

Listen to this man, he has it right. An audio interface is also something that you DON'T want to cheap out on. Listen to above user and go with the 6i6 for a start.

OP here
I couldn't resist and bought it
thank you for recommendations

That ain't no 2nd Gen Scarlett.

the store I bought it hadn't the 2nd gen

Just buy a Magni and Modi from Schiit.

Looks decently build, don't know the brand that well though. Enjoy OP.

Do not buy a focusrite.

I have tested a dozen audio interfaces and the best by far (in terms of bang for the buck and compatibility and performance) are Steinberg interfaces.

Go for a Steinberg interface, I highly suggest that.

Can someone redpill me on an interface that Im gonna use for:

2x mics (studio mic and headset mic)
1x talk box
1x MIDI keyboard

?
