Inb4 oneplus shills destroy the thread

I wanna buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro. Is it as good as it seems for the price? Any user owning it would like to share his or her thoughts?

Also is it normal for chinkphones to have 1 year warranty? Is it something I should be wary of?

It's considered to be the best bang for the buck currently, but make sure to check if it's carrier compatible in your country. it lacks most American bands and lacks LTE 20 which is widely used in Europe.

As for warranty, that's pretty standard. if it breaks, you'll have to pay to send it back to China as well so keep that in mind.

Let's just take a moment to appreciate this edge device.
You won't find a better phone

>LTE not supported on O2 network

fuck
me

Does the WiFi tethering in the S7 work with ac?
Will I get blazing fast speeds if I buy a usb wireless ac adapter for my PC?

Is there an alternative for the k6000 premium? Looking for Helio x20/p10 performance >4gb ram and 6k mAh.

i've just been hit by the no gmail/inbox notifications after doze bug.

woke up this morning to 10 emails notifications coming through all at once.

tried a controlled test just now after leaving my phone untouched for an hour - 15 minutes after a test email is sent i still have no notifcation for it.

jesus google get your shit together.

>Rumor says Galaxy S8 will feature dual-camera setup, UHD display
UHD on a smartphone is the worst fucking idea

It's for the VR meme.

but muh VR.
phone hardware and software have almost plateaued. VR's an easy way to have meaningful product differentiation now.

Since Xperia X is a meme, should I just wait a while longer?

It's actually a damn nice phone for the price. Make sure to buy the 32gb version since it has more ram though. The only thing that's pissing me off about it is MIUI, but I'm looking forward to flash cyanogenmod or resurrection remix some day.

Anandtech reviewed it. They compared the screen to ones from 2010, battery life is pretty good though.

Still a good buy IMHO if you don't care too much about displays.

>inb4 "you should wait for the ZTE Axon meme"

But what about the battery life non-meme? Can they even match the s7 edge's current life if they upgrade it that far? I don't know much about batterys but I feel like it would probably end up worse.

Seems like a big hit to take for some gimmicky tech like VR.
4k itself is basically a meme, I say this as someone who is typing onto a 4k monitor right now. There is almost no content outside of gaming. And there seems to be diminishing returns around this point as the pixels become harder to discern anyway unless you have a large monitor. If I went one setting lower on my monitor(I'm not going to do it) the difference iirc isn't even that shocking, not like the leap from 1080p back down to 720p. I run some games in lower resolution because my PC can't handle it and honestly if it's still past 2k I might forget.

I have an s7 edge and most people don't even know but it runs games in 1080p. I bet most owners don't even know that because chances are you won't notice unless you are told, because it basically looks the fucking same on the tiny screen, you can't discern the pixels anyway. What a fucking pointless waste of power to put 4k on a phone unless I am wrong about something.

>January
>"Fuck yeah new phones will release soon, can't wait to see what new features and improvements they all have!"
>The new phones are released
>"Hm, better wait for reviews first before I spend my money!"
>The good reviews come out after 2 months
>"Hm, better wait another month for user experiences so I know there really isn't anything wrong with the phones!"
>The user experiences continually come out
>Now it's motherfucking August and might as well wait for the next generation of phones

EVERY FUCKING YEAR IT'S THE SAME SHIT! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHH

They probably will down scale everything that isn't vr or 4k video.

they could just take the same approach as sony did with their 4k smartphone and upscale everything except video and vr content.

also, i might be wrong about this, but you could potentially upscale a 1440 render to a 4k display and potentially get better results as screen door effect would be mitigated by pixel density. i might be wrong about that tho. native 4k would be really hard.

Sup Forumsuys, listen. I've had an old flip up phone for as long as i can remember. I'm finally thinking of buying a smartphone, do you have any suggestions? I want the best phone money can buy, preferably durable and with a great camera.

...

Galaxy S7 fits 2 of those. It's a fragile little bitch though and you will need a case if you tend to drop things.

Phones come out too fast. Just buy one if you want/need one. Even if you buy one at the best possible time it's only like a year at most before it's out of date again.

durable like
>i drop my phone every few days
or
>i take good care of my phones, i don't want it to bend in my pocket

Is the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 a good tablet? Looking for a tablet that can do gaming and casual work smoothly.

>i drop my phone every few days

Yea, im not sure about the curved screen, though.

the s7 doesn't have a curve. that's the s7 edge.

at that point you're better off just sticking any phone you like the off in one of those rugged armour cases

I have 9.7 and it's great. AFAIK 8.0 has the same specs and screen res, go for it, don't even hesitate.

Charging port on my s6 crapped out. Went to sprint and they gave me some bullshit about corrosion, as if i had drowned it. Ordered $15 board gonna just go for it. but have been eyeballing these chink phones y'all keep posting, s6 isn't latest and greatest anymore but would one of these chinkphones even come close? That iris scanning phone looks sick. I had a spare s4 but an old roommate stole it, looking for a spare or something to make this a spare

My friend has had an htc one m7 for 3 years now, he doesn't have a case and he drops it very often, once even flew 50 m downstairs. All he has is one, almost unnoticable crack on his screen and the body has all kinds of scratches and little dents, but it works pretty good still. I mean that kind of durable.

i'd say he's just very lucky with the angle of his drops honestly.

case in point, my brother and sister both had galaxy s3's. my sister dropped hers almost every few days and it survived over 3 years of that without the screen cracking - she dropped it a good 8ft on to some train tracks once.

my brother dropped his phone once on asphalt from about chest height and the screen shattered.

No such thing on flasgships today. they are all fragile as fuck. just get a case and tempered glass screen protectors. don't be autismo.

+edit: just pick something doesn't have a glass back if you don't want a case on it.
if you want to go autismo then consider the lg v10.

Galaxy s7 active

boi that's why you got wireless charging just use that. As a user of the s7 the s6 is still a really really solid phone and you won't get something similar unless you plan on spending 300-400+ dollars

Blackview bv6000

I currently have a wireless charger taped to the back of my phone. Certainly a lifesaver of a feature but still a pain in the ass. Still kinda want a backup/spare, should i just keep an eye on craigslist for a cheap used s5 or throw my money at the chinks?

Anyone has experience with this thing? I just bought one since I needed a new phone asap. Paid 160 euro's for it. So far it seemed very decent for it's price.

Looks pretty good. Didn't look up rooting possibilities do you know more? It's better than a rn3pro. How's the sound of speakers and headphone output? Got an antutu score?

Anybody know if this thing is fixable? Moto x 2013

I literally just broke My motox2013 and threw it away.... it looked the exact same...

yes but not worth it.

If you want a device that will last for years without tinkering, get a iPhone SE.

It got the same specs as the current flagship iphone 6s, but with the shell of a iphone 5 and a smaller resolution. So there shouldn't be a problem with future iOS updates.

Android is for those who want to customize and tweak their phone to their own preferences, if you don't give a shit about those kind of things just go with a iPhone that "just run apps" and do everything else automatically.

>Backlog: HTC Hero, HTC Desire, iPhone 4s, SGS3, SGS4. Current: iPhone SE 64GB

Is it worth buying lg g3 now? I want phone with good screen, good camera at decent price (which LG G3 is now).

Can someone go to ZTE central and kick their lazy asses to release the Axon 7 worldwide already?

It's really annoying.

Do the same to Oukitel I need the k6000 premium...

Does anyone actually own a Xaomeme or are you all just epic memesters with Samsungs?

Should I get a waterproof Sony like the Z3 Compact or a chinkphone that'll be much more powerful and cheaper, but less durable?
I know chinkphones are weak as fuck against water.

If I buy a used lg G4, what are the odds that I end up with a bootloop brick?

BV6000.

V10 or Redmi note 3

I'm not THAT careless, I just don't want something that'll break if it rains on it.

Looking to replace my cracked Galaxy S5. My smart phone history is S2 > S3 > S5. Definitely don't mind getting away from Samsung and touchjizz. Considering buying used.

Price: ~250, hard max at 300 USD

Carrier: AT&T

Country: USA

Size: not huge, don't want to strain too much to reach the top of the screen

Other: I would like expandable memory. Stock Android is a huge plus, I hate all of the Samsung shit that they include in their phones.

RIP free pizza

No. it's old and shit.

RN3P.

That rules out most Sony's and their "drop once" phones. the Z3 and Z5 screens are fragile as fuck.

Anons with Samsung's should leave. Locked down shit phones...
Here are a bunch of anons with chinkphones lurk more, especially/csg.

I know a fair amount of people with Z3 Compacts and they all said to me that they're sturdy as fuck

What's the comfiest smartphone?
>inb4 redmi note 3 pro
But is it really?

>5.5"
>comfy
Nope. 5.2" is the biggest your phone should be. 5" preferred.

Ye.
Maybe look up some of the 6000mAh phone and tell me if you find one with a p10.

Samsung

Galaxy

Note

Two

>5.2" should be maximum, 5" preferred
If only the memephone industry would think like this..

Buying a new 2013 Moto G is probably cheaper than repairing it :/

Do you like Chink phones?
>1+3 $399
>Zuk Z2 $299
>Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro $199

If you don't, the Nexus 5X dropped below $300 at some stores. Also check out the Asus Zenfone 2.

>want a nexus
>new line comes in october from htc possibly with 3d touch display

I guess I'll wait then

>Zuk Z2 $299
where? all i see are 400 and 500 ones

found this on tradingshenzen.

tradingshenzhen.com/zuk-z2-zuk-z2-pro/611-zuk-z2-4gb-ram-64gb-rom-snapdragon-820.html

wew, why is it in german?

HTC 10

It's a german website

oppomart.com/zuk.html

This one maybe?

or on alieexpress

aliexpress.com/item/Original-Lenovo-ZUK-Z2-64GB-ROM-4GB-RAM-5-0-Android-6-0-Snapdragon-820-Quad/32685801164.html?ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_0,searchweb201602_5_10017_507,searchweb201603_7&btsid=bde96739-a7f3-403e-923c-4b7a970668ac

thanks man, but do u think getting a ZUK Z2 over RN3P is worth it?

No idea. I still wait for zuk saying that the zuk z2 gets cm support like the z1. If they do that then I might get one.

Wouldn't get the redmi because of the big screen desu.

>SD820
>4GB RAM
>better camera
Yep. Redmeme is only good because it's cheap.

Is an LG G4 an awful deal new for 300€, the screen and camera seem incredible for the price, but i heard the battery is lacking

Or do I just join the Sup Forums meme team and buy the Redmi Note 3 Pro for 180€?

Except gmail from battery optimization features

>Is an LG G4 an awful deal new for 300€
Yes it is. battery is shit and there's no way to know if your'e buying a bootloop device or not.

>Is an LG G4 an awful deal new for 300€
I'd say so, maybe for around $225USD (200 euro), but it's just not worth the price at this point.

I get 2 hours SOT at best.

>urge to blow money on a new phone
>literally no reason to upgrade

Fuck help

Also what the fuck do you guys need powerful phones for anyway? What the fuck do you do with a phone look at porn?

what is the best android rom for the motorola x 2014 atm?

I'm still waiting to hear a good reason about why the OP3 has 6GB of RAM.

So its looking like the note 3 pro? The zenfone 2 seems to barely match it in specs and itd be 50€ more?

Thanks for the warning btw lads, will be steering well clear

>mfw the iphone 6 with 1gb of ram outperforms it

They made the battery smaller, so they had to meme up the ram.

But 6GB Ram is useless without proper ram management.

Is it comfortable to use a large smartphone/phablet (Note 4, etc.) in daily life? Does pulling it out of your pocket regularly and carrying it around everywhere become annoying?

>inb4 it was my dad who should have pulled out

Because the people that buy oneplus phones love their specs and even though its horribly managed, that high a number lets them brag to their friends

I ask myself that question all of the time. Fuck it in getting an iphone

The Redmeme is pretty good. check the carrier compatibility first with sites in OP.

You get used to it. I went back to a smaller phone and just didn't enjoy it as much

If you're a big guy, they are perfect. But many women also have massive phones too but they have handbags and shit.

I fear that the Zuk Z2 Pro is overpriced for what it is worth.

It looks flimsy and easy to break, like the Xiaomi Mi5.

What can we expect from the upcoming nexus line ? Will it be as expensive as the last one or also something in the midrange?

One last thing, is the mi5 considered a better phone then the note 3 pro. They both seem within budget but I won't be getting anothrr phone for a while after this

For you

Yes, it's their current flagship. has a faster SD820 and a better camera. if you can afford it sure why not.

How can I tell a Global from a China Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro? I am looking to buy one but don't know which one will work on my carrier.

Resurrection Remix or Android Ice Cold Project?

Satan pls, use your s6. If the fix doesn't work, buy enough wireless charging pads.

>That Anandtech OP3 review

savage
