OK I'll start

Speccy is shit because doesn't know how much RAM the best consumer graphics card has.
Lets compare sizes like I used to with my daddy.

...

It's because it's a shit card.

>Just waiting on that 480 to finish my update
FEAR MY 512 MB MIGHT!

all that brute power and you're using 60hz monitors, user pls do something about that

Windows 10 removed speccy on me, again.

Laptop, meh

Ya i updated too and it removed it, but clearly it works in windows 10. wtf?

>win10fags will defend this

No money to build a pc. This will one day be a server.

>1333MHz RAM

It used to cause blue screens, hence why MS removed it. A reinstall should fix the problem.

Might get a 1080 soon. Also likely adding a Samsung 950 Pro.

upgrading to RX480 soon but this 7950 is surprisingly adequate

>32GB RAM
>TRIPFAG
So this is the power of Sup Forums

I've used up to 12.4GB at one point. So, even though I didn't reach 16GB, I decided to just add more and go with 32GB.

As for the tripcode; keep q_q m8
>Temps during gaming

>10 storage devices
>~7TB of porn

U3415W bro here as well

It's awesome. I'm really excited for Forza Horizon 3 on this screen.

...

Not a forza fan :(

...

Anyone else suffering from the low avaliblilty of 1080s?

>look what mom just bought me XD
>i have no friends so i seek validation online

more pathetic than even desktop threads

Most are empty, maybe 500gb of porn lol

Honestly mate, some of them probably are having it paid for by mom, but for the most part we are guys who grew up on the chans and have jobs now and can afford nice things.

Post yfw it turns out that speccy was right all along and Nvidia cucked their customers on VRAM again.

Gonna get a 480 desu

>fell for the consumer laptop meme
Literally never do this.
I thought I would stick to modest specs for my Sup Forums+anime machine but everything not cpu/gpu related is a downgrade from my old Thinkpad.

...

r8

8/8

>no motherboard
What the fuck

why the hell do you have an overclocking processor and a non-overclockable chipset

Look closer.

...

What is it really tiny or something?

>qemu

>windows users

...

What CPU cooler are you using? 20 C is lower than my ambient temps ;_;

so I'm really new to pc gaymen, I got an evga gtx 970 and when benchmarking it runs an upwards of 75-80 temp under load
it sits at 45-55 idle
is that normal? is there a program you guys would recommend for better fan control if it isnt?

its normal

alright
was just curious because people in this thread have such low temps even while playing it looked like

Some people in here have spent close to $1000 for water cooling loops.

Still have a 7950 going strong in one of the other gaming machines here. Card is strong like bull.

Runs fine. Why is almost everyone using the subhuman 16:9? Scum all of you.

Because good luck finding anything that isn't 16:9 at a good price. Is 16:10 better? Sure. Is it worth 2x the price? Fuck off not a chance.

Why such a low ssd?

Do I win anything?

>Vista
Nope.jpg

...

Good cheap ssd?

Need to buy an RX480 and a 4k screen later this year.

...

not trying to be a dick, but 1.35 gives me 4.6

I know, I just noticed the higher voltage. I'm just about to start to investigate why it's that much higher, it should be 1.244.

I usually just keep it at 4.4 ghz because everything runs just fine. Thanks for noticing it.

1.244 was typo

Can you paste your memory settings as well?

I matched your settings, 1.295v + 4.5 ghz but I want to double check couple of things from the memory. Thing is that I have shit MSI mobo which I cannot recommend to anyone.

CPU is manually adaptive clocked to 4.6ghz @ 1.35v. RAM is technically 3200mhz but my CPU doesn't agree with it. Can only get 2666mhz and have it be prime95 stable.

Really bummed I couldn't get Windows 7 working on this skylake setup.

Sandisk?

cheap is subjective. I would consider Samsung 850 EVO drives "cheap" because you can get 500GB drives for like $150 now. As opposed to $260 for a 512GB top end Intel ssd or Samsung 850 PRO drive.

Usually Crucial BX series is maybe $10 (at most) cheaper than Samsung drives. Why cheap out for that little when you intend to keep the drive for a long time?

Why do you use adaptive mode? Why not keep it at the max all the time?

for what reason? I used to do that in the past but it results in higher idle temps for no reason. Fans spin a bit faster. Bit higher power consumption, etc.

Adaptive mode is literally just setting an offset voltage that automatically is applied to the CPU when it goes under load. For instance as soon as I load up a CPU benchmark, game, or encoding a video, the CPU goes right to 1.35v and 4.6ghz and holds it there.

Adaptive mode is just as easy to setup as forcing same speed at all times. Even less steps too. It's literally just keeping turbo boost enabled, but manually overriding the stock boost clock to a GHZ you set and required voltage. I ran manual OC settings just to find stability. Then turned boost back on and enabled adaptive. done.

I don't want to spend too much. I'll probably end up getting the cheap 120gb Sandisk.

What didn't work about w7? Bummer on the RAM

I would have a similiar setup if all of my hard drives weren't EMPd

sure

Video card setup is absolutely disgusting.

>two nvidia cards for 4 displays reminds me of why I choose AMD over nvidia
>they're shit cards at that

what are you talking about

the 6600k is an overclocking CPU, it has an unlocked multiplier. But you motherboard is H110 chipset, which means it can OC the 6600k because the H110 chipset locks the multiplier.

Mostly just using the 650 for a dedicated PhysX card, I only have one monitor plugged into it because the 780 only has a single analog port and I have 2 analog monitors and I don't feel like buying a converter. The 780 can support 4 monitors though.

>means it can OC
>can't*

Does speccy not cause blue screens on w10 anymore?

It got updated

not the guy with the speccy, but the guy you asked
Thanks for the info, i'm still running z97 so not too familiar with newer mobo capabilities
