the dell 144hz gsync is pretty sweet. you can get them for around $450 on sale.

my research tells me the AOC U2879VF is really good value. ill check that aswell, thanks

this thread looks like it's about to die but what are your thoughts on curved monitors?

Acer XR341CK

The 144hz 1440p Dell is incredible. It's a TN but has almost no distorted view angles. It looks like an IPS to me.

Got mine from Amazon for $450. The price has been wiggly between $430-$500 the last month. It's an incredible value.

pointless

What graphics card do you have OP?

how so? I mean I get how it can be TOO curved but it's not as gimmicky as, say, a 3D tv

must be nice being rich

Curved monitors are good because the viewing angle at the edge naturally curve towards you. This reduces the unusual color(light fall off) you some times see because you're not directly facing the monitor.

holy shit $300 4k monitor

i love aoc but no IPS kinda hurts.

Wait for 27" 4k 120/144hz at 1ms response

everything else is a meme

Samsung 591 Series C27F591 27" 16:9 Curved FreeSync LCD Monitor

$299

The biggest problem i have seen with curved monitors is the fact they tend to have some pretty bad glow in the corners which make it pretty shit in a dark room or similar dark environment.

this is gross

GTX 970

this curved thing is interesting. Is it bearable when you arent playing games?

>he fell for the 3.5VRAM meme

alas

I don't care about 144hz since I'm not a manchild.
