Chairs

Let's discuss the wonderful technology that are chairs.

What chair are you using right now? Do you like it? Would you recommend it? Feel free to post pictures.

I am currently looking for a new chair. Are racing gayman chair a meme or are they actually comfy?

>Are racing gayman chair a meme
>300+€ for a chair

you tell me

Sitting on that chair, and yes, its as comfy as they say. It looks like user's ass after sitting in his mothers basement on a weekend marathon, but its still comfy.

What chair do you use?

ikea something something

Don't have it yet, but waiting on a brand new serta office chair. MSRP was 220 and I got it for 105, reviews were good so I can't wait to try it out. Definitely wasn't going to spend 350+ on a chair

I use picture related.
Expensive but I think it was worth it, I sit up to 6-12hours in it very single day. Its like having a good bed, you spend 1/3 of your life sleeping so why not spend a lil bit on shit you end up using most of the time.

This is a nice chair user.
How much did it cost?

1000€ (on sale) + 100€ for a slight modification (wheels).

DXSeat > DXRacer

it looks like it has a bow on it

Sheeeeit

Even my car doesn`t cost that much.

>Unironically buying a dxracer

I swear to god these things only exist to bait streamer/youtuber fanboys into buying them.

No way people actually pay £400 for a fucking chair when you can get an absurdly good office chair for £100 max

KAB Seating ACS

1300€

Similar to one in picture,

The cushions are not as good as I expected

But I do enjoy leaning back in the chair, most office chairs do not go back that far and lock at the same time

That is the best feature imo

>absurdly good office chair for £100 max
I do not know of any good office chair for

Steelcase Leap. Office furniture that is built to last, but more comfortable than an Aeron. It was about 1500$ delivered

IKEA Markus

I removed the armrests because my arms are on my desk anyways

This looks nice and is in my price range.
Would you recommend it?

>2016
>using anything but chairs made out of wood
Enjoy your buttfucking, i guess.

this is not /csg/, user

Simply cant beat it

I'd recommend it but it takes some getting used to.

The chair doesn't go really low so if you aren't tall your legs might not touch the floor. The mesh is stiff when you buy it but it gets better the more you sit in it. I used to slouch a lot in my old chair because it didn't have neck support and was on the verge of kyphosis, so having neck support and sitting straight took some getting used to.

Overall it's a really good chair for the price though, the lower back and neck support is amazing and the tilting options are great. I'd suggest trying it in the store before buying it.

I'm 6'0'' so height should not be a problem. I'll definitely look into it, thank you.

i really want a stressless but $1500 is too steep for me

save up money. with good care those chairs can hold up to 20+ years.

For that money I would rather just use a livingroom chair, or convert a car seat.

sitting in one of these. I definitely like it and would get another.

How the fuck do you transport that thing

transport?

What, you bring an office chair with you everywhere? Or even somewhere sometime?

Are you retarded?

I have to move chairs between houses and to the dorm/apt and back

I got a dx racer drift series. Had it for 6months now. This is awesome. Super comfortable and is in exactly the same shape as when I bought it. Seems to be a good chair. Just avoid the fucked up color combos and it much easier to take serious. Will be getting an Embody soon as well, so will see how it compares.

what do you think of that
dirt cheap and isn't as high as marcus which in my opinion is good
any experiences with it?

Well that I guess makes a bit more sense regarding your concerns. No office chair is fun to move around the way you need to, especially if in a regular car. The KAB is a bit heavier but still can be muscled around sure.

meant to you.

Most people don't need to move chairs around.

Anyway my leap is a real pain with this because the chair has some real build quality and so is heavy.

Got this a couple of weeks back. Very happy with my purchase.

This chair is the GOAT. I got it cheap, it has all mesh, perfectly fits my back, has height and slant customization, and the headrest is optional.

Try and tell me that there's something wrong with this chair.

I've had my chair for ten years. Learned to post on Sup Forums with it. The arm rests are loose, leather seat is like a pancake, the back has a big tear down it. So I have to put cushions down for comfort. It leans back too far because my fat friend sat on it once. Fapped with it too many times to recall. Made out with my first girl on it. Later she dumped me on msn. Found out daisy destruction and the grifter where real on it. Went on cam chat with moot and other anons with it. This chair is showing no signs of falling apart so why should I get another one?

are you using your thinkpad as chair?

>got it cheap

whered you get it m8?

Some STOL Kamnik cloth-seat office chair with swivel and wheels that is at least 30 years old and purchased in ye olde Yugoslavia. It's red in color, couldn't find a picture of it online. Seat smells like ass unsurprisingly

A net stretched over a hole seems to have a lot of fans of a certain body type.

Hey they do help address swamp ass and let your stink pass through more stealth-fully that is for sure.

>all these people bitching about spending lot of money on a chair

My dad's Aeron is 20 years old and it works pretty fucking perfectly.

Honestly I need a new chair, the current one is giving me no upper back/head support, but I really can't afford something that expensive.

Any recommendations? Preferably a "normal" chair, none of those racing things

>A net stretched over a hole seems to have a lot of fans of a certain body type.

what do you mean?

I only got it for around 120 from Staples, compared to other websites where it's around 300. It's not actually cheap by any means, but it's cheaper than it could be. There was also a Steelcase chair that was only 200 but I wasn't sure if it was legit.

The net's really comfy unless you aren't clothed on parts touching it besides your arms.

Many anons with some 'weight' issues love the chairs that are basically nets stretched over holes. Often air circulation is a prime reason for stating it as the preferred chair.

Basically the only support the chair provides is the tension of the net there is nothing under it supporting the seat or back...not really ideal but oh well. Also, the net chairs can be susceptible to having shit get caught in them. when getting up or shifting around in them. Kinda hooked on if you know what I mean.

At the office the chair they gave me is well over 1k burger-bucks. Fuckin awesome chair.

I've never had any of those problems with that specific chair. I also am 40 pounds underweight and am a skeltal.

>What chair are you using right now?

BodyBilt J757-F1. It's the tall version for high desks. Retails new for probably $1000 - $1200. I found it on Craigslist in great shape for $150.

It has the #2 deeply contoured (tractor seat style) seat pan.

Advantages:

* Deeply contoured seat pan with a pommel keeps you from sliding forward, allows you to have a better hip angle without inducing a slouch.

* Narrow upper seat back means your shoulders are allowed in a proper position. Most chairs encourage you to roll your shoulders forward.

* Extremely well built. I know a guy who bought a similar chair around 1986 and one arm just broke. And guess what? He can still order a replacement arm!

I cannot stress enough the importance of seeking out a good, ergonomic chair that encourages proper posture. Most people have forward head syndrome. Some people will develop a bulged disc in their neck from years of this (I did, it fucking sucks). The problem is you don't know if you're prone to it until it's too late.

what kind of anal triple gangbang porno chair is this

I had a Herman Miller Aeron for a few months at an old job. It was extremely comfortable and -- somehow -- managed to be ergonomic while also being made of mesh.

The thing I remembered most was that I no longer felt swamp ass.

The funny thing is that I'm back on foam chairs now and still don't have swamp ass. Maybe it was because my desk was near a window that got toasty with 3pm sun. Or the Aeron cured my sweaty butt. The latter seems less plausible.

Literally no idea what you're talking about. How can you look at that and think "porno chair"? I cannot think of a way to fuck in it.

>tfw i got a steelcase aima for $10

get a fucking mesh office chair holy shit

£40

I bought pic related weeks ago

It needs to fulfill both my work needs - so sitting upright and ergonomically for my worktime, and I wanted it to be very adjustable for my free time because I like to take on stupid poses and generally like to sit crosslegged in my chair too.

Its very hard to trust these gayming chairs but atleast maxnomic has solid build quality, as in this chair looks like it'll hold up - except maybe for the armrests - but those are easily replaceable

Why choose this particular one:
>look on the seat - those two pieces of shit on the side you see on every gayming chair is missing on maxnomic's office-comort line, you can sit crosslegged on this
>no edgemaster in looks
>built in lumbar support instead of the shitty shitty pillows.

All in all - I don't think it is really worth this much money, but I think if I pay less - I'll just be fucked over even more in value.

IE: I don't earn enough money.

put a boat cushion on your leather office chair to make it feel good.

Why, are boat cushions soft?

I bought this one 4 days ago, it's pretty comfy

officedepot.com/a/products/493669/Realspace-Harrington-II-High-Back-Chair/

I bought shitty chair 2 months ago when my nice ikea chair broke (such is life when you're almost 100kg) and now regret my purchase. The seat barely has any cushion, it's like I'm sitting directly on wood and it's not very comfortable.

I was going to buy exactly that chair (the all black commander SIII variant though), worth it for 359€ ?

I have it it's utter crap

Well honestly if you are 100kg and looking for comfyness above all I'd say no.
I'm 70kg at 6'2", and its good for me, its comfortable, but mostly in the manner of an office chair, not like an armchair or couch.

The foam maxnomic uses is hard, I mean it compresses maybe 1cm under my ass, I'll probably get a thin soft cushion on it (though its fine for me without either, its more for protection)

I can answer if you wanna know about some details

Some sort of ancient Steelcase piece of shit.

The old fabric it had was a hideous reddish color, it was insanely scratchy, the wheels pop when they move, I can't adjust the height, it creaks at any movement, and the back is too short to support my upper back but too long to properly support my lower.

Why do people love this brand so much again?

...

I'm tempted

>6'2 70kg
Thank you skeleton.
I'm fine with somewhat hard foam as long as I'm not hitting bottom and it doesn't feel like I have to get up every 30min because I can't feel my ass cheeks. It's fine to sit on it all day ?

I was going to ask you about the size since I'm 192cm but seeing as you're somewhat tall I'm guessing it's fine?

I'm just looking for something sturdy, that I'll forget when sitting down and that I can adjust when I want to lay back and watch movies basically.

Got a wide as fuck chair, with a base that can hold 500lbs, as the base is the part that breaks due to wear and tear for me...

hopeing to get around 5 years out of it at least.

...

i need a chair that can support 120kg, most chairs i look at support 120kg, then 180kg, so i guess im looking at 180kg atm, just to be safe, i have no chair atm, i have no desk atm, i sit on the floor...its not good for me...it hurts :(

You buy an Aeron, Embody, or Gesture. Then you shut up and sit.

I love mine for lounging, but I wouldn't want to compute on it. It's OK for laptops so long as you don't need to type for too long.

you don't need a gay men chair OP

Any suggestions for someone around 6' 7" (200 cm)? It's hard to find anything good

I have that exact chair, but in red.

I took the arm-rest and foot-rest off.

It's extremely comfortable.

Put rollarblade roller style wheels on it so it actually rolls worth a shit.

I sleep in it sometimes as it reclines perfectly.

Good for $200 or so.

So I pulled a Knoll Life chair out of someone's trash. Needs about $100 in parts to be good.

Y/N? Never sat in one of these.
