Visual Basic 2006. I'm still using

I'm learning my first language and it's 6502 assembly.

C++

VBA... also HTML is not a programming language.

Is QBasic comfy?

Doesn't make it a programming language. It's called Hypertext Markup Language, it's a markup language, it's literally in the name.

>language that can be used to program things
>not a programming language

next thing you're telling me shakespear isn't a programming language because it uses english sentences

C

Shakespear is actually called Shakespear Programming Language.

Bash

Does anyone else see where it actually shows how? Maybe my phone isn't loading it right but he pretty much says that HTML is Turing complete and then ends the article.

Apple Pascal on the ][+

Only poorfags didn't have the language card :^)

YaBASIC, the version on the PS2 demo disc, you know the one that it shipped with? Good times. It was fucking painful without a physical keyboard but I didn't know any better.

From there it was on to VB6, which I still have fond memories of to this day.

Shakespeare. Uncultured twats

pascal/Delphi

it was 20 years ago, for 10year old myself

I guess Shakespeare must have been an uncultured twat, since he used multiple spellings for his own name

qbasic

Pascal/Delphi

HTML is a document markup language.

My first programming language was C++, 28 years ago.

LOGO

>implying that makes HTML a programming language.
I will recognize that it's a programming language as soon as anybody can demonstrate the beer bottles problem in HTML+CSS

Would you recommend the language you started with to someone new to coding Sup Forums?
If not, what would you recommend?

Nobody else started with MATLAB here?

Just for the record
it is CSS+HTML or as I've been calling it now CSS/HTML

>matlab

pft, even less of a programming language than html

> Turing.

Ha, did you go to the University of Toronto in the 90s because that is the only place that is the only place that language was ever used. Damn that language is useless.

Matlab was fun to learn though
I am taking the actual intro compsci class next semester and that's phython, is it really so different? I mean, how different can a programming language really be?

Javascript and Python kinda tied. Then C.

QBasic, baby.

What you’re referring to as Shakespeare, is in fact, William/Shakespeare, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, William plus Shakespeare. Shakespeare is not one author unto itself, but rather one author component of a fully functioning literary system.

Visual C++

I was pretty young and bought it at Staples I think. I didn't make it very far.

Some programming language that was on a casio graphing calculator.

Lua i think
i was trying to write plugins for garrys mod when i was like 11
