>NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Selling Excellent, More Volume Shipped Than High-End Maxwell – Even Bigger Success Than The GeForce GTX 980 Ti and GTX 980

WHY PEOPLE ARE SO KEK?????

We'll compare the numbers of buyers of 1080's to 480's in the coming months. I highly doubt 1080 sales top 10% of 480 sales.

bte just because it sells more the 980Ti's does not mean it sold 'gazillions' of cards. It's still a 'premium' card. Overpriced at that. It's like saying Rolex watches or Ferrari's are selling like hotcakes.

>"Most sold high end card"
>2000-3000 jewnits

Good for Nvidia. Unfortunately for them I value money too much to one at the ridiculous prices they're going for at the moment.

It's the only new card alongside th 1070 they have and they are the only two they are making right now. Again it's like someone saying Rolex's and Ferrari's are selling like hotcakes. We know those are of limited supply as well.

Of course they're selling excellent. It's a paperlaunch, there's barely any cards to buy.

>Ferrari makes new car
>They are limited to 100 cars worldwide
>All the preorders are snapped up by rich Arabs
It's their best selling car ever!

>Everyone we talked to, outside of Nvidia of course, has confirmed that Geforce GTX 1080 launch was the biggest volume high end card launch, that was ever deceived by Nvidia at launch date. This got confirmed by both AIB and retail / etail sources and guess what, it all sold out in minutes. The numbers were much bigger than with Geforce GTX 980 or Ti launch, but it still sold within minutes.
;^)

Yes, idc i have a gt 420

It plays san andreas good

Honestly? I think they just had exceptionally good timing. A lot of people pre-ordered VR headsets just to find that their computer runs them like shit and oh would you look at that there's a new line of GPUs coming out that are specifically for that.

AYYMDPOORFAGS CONFIRMED ON SUICIDE WATCH

>1070 customer review
>Great card. It's noticeably better than my old GTX 980ti
Nvidia really hit the jackpot with their customer base. They will buy anything for any price even if it's only 10% faster than the last gen

More volume shipped

Meanwhile major Europe site confirmed only 20k total units for both at the end of July.
So, yeah

Indeed. People who purchased VR have more money than common sense. But they are rich enough to buy shit toys I guess. I'm jelly I am not rich but I can think of better things to use the money for like hookers and drugs. Meanwhile back in the real world...

What?

>$1200
lol, who is going to buy that shit?

Just bought a 1070 GTX. Not even trolling. There is just nothing else out there for 1440p gaming besides the 1080 but that's crazy.

next they will realize there aren't actually any VR games. What will they do then?

...

>The sales were so good let's make 100 more cars!
Compared to how many 480's will be available at launch Nvidia's 1080 series are smalfry. The sale of 480's will outweigh the profit of 1080's based on pure numbers.

I play every game fine on a 390. Clearly you are retarded.

Cute drawing, user. Ask your mommy to put it up on the refrigerator.

Heh see
But let the Nvidiots have their 'moment'.

That's where I am now. My solution is to make my own.

Also there's porn.

The AMD logo is ugly and the drivers reputation, that's why. It's sad.

>Cant read the random file name showing its not mine

Good job

Will the 1180 be significantly better than the 1080?

No one buys AMD, though.

Forgot to mention that I also plan to play with more than barely 60 fps, familia.

y-y-yeah, like Furys...

youtu.be/1YVrxFmheSc

It's called prebuilds and shittops

>pic related
i helped make it a success.

If gaymers have at least a 290/390 or a 970, I don't know why they should upgrade for this mid range card.

Well yeah if they already own THOSE cards. But for just about anyone else it's a pretty sensible upgrade.

most people own those cards m8

It helps that the 980ti was what, nearly twice as expensive?

You only have to check Steam stats to know that 93% of gamers don't

Is this like when Microsoft said it sold many xbox ones, but never released shit?

Your definition of most is a little off

Hello i dont give a fuk

The 970 is the most popular card on Steam

NShitya is the Apple of graphics cards.

The 1070 isn't even 10% faster than a 980 Ti though. It's 0% faster and they trade blows depending on the game. People are just fucking dumb.

steam survey is bugged
unless you think that radeon 360 is the most popular amd card on steam..

Most people are poor. Truth.

nah, more like with NV/Intel laptops because Optimus

"Most popular" isn't equivalent to "most people have it". It just means it's the most common card out there, but that 93% of people have a card that's not those cards.

Ergo, most people have weaker cards.

by your definition then a 770 should be the most popular since nvidia themself said 80% of their users are still on maxwell 1.0 and kepler..

why is it symmetrical? that does not make sense.

retard: the post

Well sorry if I don't follow stocks and shares bud.

Desktop AIB users who are not on prebuilts comprise like 1% of the entire computing market.

Something like less than 3 million people world wide spend $300 or more on a GPU. I imagine that for the >$5-600 market those numbers are incredibly smaller.

So to say "most people" is an amazing amount of bullshit when nearly 4 times as many people own weaker, cheaper, and/or older cards.

The PC gaming market is MINISCULE. The console market is probably bigger. Nvidia might have a popular GPU but it's smelling in the thousands not millions or even 100's of thousands. Most people I know don't even have a GPU in their PC's just the onboard graphics. Basically Nvidiots are blowing a small horn (cock) about a relatively minor victory on Nvidia's part. Let's see the numbers on AMD sales of midrange cards in the coming months and compare numbers (not prices) then.

>sell 980 ti before 1070 launch make ~600$
>buy 1070 at launch for profit ~200$
>oh yeah and along with this money its noticeably faster than my 980 ti
Lol yeah what a fucking idiot

Nobody cares.

>console market is probably bigger.
AMD don't make a lot of money with consoles tho. Read the last financial report...

Didn't say they did. Not my point.

sure dude whatever you say

forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2015/05/01/surprise-gta-5-is-also-a-massive-hit-on-pc/

Nvidia housefires are imminent

>Most people I know don't even have a GPU in their PC's just the onboard graphics.

Most people I know don't like the red sticker on the computer.

My comment stands. A few million gamers out of billions of humans on this planet.

you're a complete dipshit

it's true that even among PC gaming "enthusiasts" many of them buy prebuilt, but these are cards that every prebuilding manufacturer will want to put in their computers and as a result many people will end up owning them

if these cards weren't profitable they wouldn't be made, and if the enthusiast market wasn't profitable it wouldn't be targeted

Are you fucking serious?

It's market share percentage.

Nvidia fan
>'I'm rich and can afford the most powerful GPU out there' Waves penis.
AMD fan
>I'm not so rich so I can only afford a midrange GPU that still gives reasonable performance at a certain resolution. Why are you waving your penis at me? Are you some kind of faggot?'

I see that yes. I still don't understand why it is exactly symmetrical though considering the AMD numbers are not 'half' of Nvidia's numbers. It makes AMD look like it's doing a lot worse than it actually is which is what Nvidia fans like to do I guess.

Buying a $600 toy is being rich now?

Relatively speaking.

You're right, pre-builts and shittops are full of AMD.

I need that flaunting wealth image.

I genuinely don't understand what you're saying. The Y axis keeps equal numbers, and it makes perfect sense - if nVidia has 75% market share, then AMD must have 25% (give or take one or two percent due to Intel or whatnot). That's shown on the graph.

I'd actually be very interested if we could get accurate numbers for a comparison there. No doubt the RX 480 will sell more units, but I want to know if the increased price ends up balancing it out.

Not relatively even if you live in shitholes, save up for a few months and yoi got it.
Yay, rich.

Yeah I see it now based on the scaling figures. I'm just tired and really don't give a shit fampai. Enjoy your overpriced cards though.

>>sell 980 ti before 1070 launch make ~600$
In what universe are idiots paying that much for used, outdated hardware?

> Enjoy your overpriced cards though.
Nigga I'm gonna be buying the 480

>No doubt the RX 480 will sell more units

It will sell in larger numbers simply because they can ship more then ten fucking videocards per country.

>>'I'm rich and can afford the most powerful GPU out there'
Oh yeah nigga you so rich. Like a fucking 10 year old fanning himself with a bunch of singles.

I don't like paying out a lot more for ever decreasing increments though. If the 1080 did 120 FPS @ 4K for the same price I'd be all over that shit (well maybe if I had the cash but I don't right now). It's like audiophiles buying expensive headphones for small increments in sound quality IMHO.

Maybe I will look into it again next year.

>the honda civic is better than the porsche 911 cause you have a better hp per dollar :^) XD

Sup Forums need a bingo for Nvidia/AMD thread

Shitposting it in every thread is his refrigerator

You faggots creamed yourselves with the 750Ti. Fuck off newfags.

>750Ti
I still have my 290x

I have a 7870

That doesn't mean you have to be rich to buy a $600-700 graphics card ever 2 years or some shit.

But they only made like 50 cards

And why are you so edgy about my post?

not rich, but extremely wasteful considering how marginally improved your gaming experience is compared to someone who spends $300 every 3 years.
Spending $700 on a GPU does not make console ports any less shit.

>Why should I care what other people buy?

>$900
lol

I have a 1 year old 750 Ti, and don't care about graphics. Is the 480 still worth upgrading to? I only have a 300 watt PSU but the 750 works with no problems.

How "extreme" the waste is depends on what sort of disposable income you have over the useful lifetime of the device you buy. Again, you don't have to be rich for $700 over 2 years to not be a big deal at all and as such not worth sacrificing performance over.

Last time I bought graphics cards I decided to take the cheaper option and the end result of that was that the money I saved sat in my bank account for 2 years and I got to slam my head against shit drivers when trying to enjoy my hobby for that period of time. Can't say I'm too happy about my decision at this point.

> don't care about graphics
Then why are you asking. Wait until you feel like you actively need an upgrade, and then consider your options at that time.

I think the 460 is for you. It's probably less than a $100 and it's what was competing with the 950 on that booth several months ago.

and still faster then a 1070

...

>Reports from the industry suggest that NVIDIA is having excellent success with their GeForce 10 series cards as most of their high-end products are sold out everywhere in the retail market.
What a fucking click bait article. Their "best" guess is based on the fact there is no stock? Give me a break.
