I been avoiding taxes while using DHL thanks to Gearbest declaring everything at 50% of the value, but my last 3 DHL packages came with the real value declared and I had to pay taxes on the 3 packages.
Anyone that ordered in the last week using DHL shipping got the real value also declared? if they have stopped declaring 50% of the value, this is a said day for chink shopping.

Continuing conversation about multitools from I've never seen any Chinese SAKs that weren't inferior to the originals, but I have seen plenty that are still totally fine and useable. The differences are minor like tools being slightly harder/slower to get out, backwards placement of keychain rings, and greatly inferior files compared to a real VIctorinox, but for most people it's not that much of a problem. It is weird that there don't seem to be any really good, really close (or superior) Chinese copies of that style of multitool though.

It's quite possible for cables to be so cheap that they're unusable. USB is a high-speed protocol, so a poor quality cable will cause interference and other transfer errors. Note that these aren't the kind of errors that pop up on your screen - the hardware just silently re-transmits until it works, which is only noticeable as slower transfer rates.
For charging, if you try to push high currents (ie. using modern phone/tablet chargers) through a wire that's too thin, it'll catch fire. Decent chargers might notice the problem and lower the current (meaning slower charging). Chink chargers will just burn your house down.
