>effective June 1st, Comcast is raising the monthly bandwidth cap for all Internet customers to 1 terabyte (1,024 gigabytes)
Apologize.

Apologize for what? 1TB's still a pretty low cap, especially when there shouldn't be one at all.

>2016
>data caps
is this bait?

I live in a third world European country and data caps aren't even a thing here. It just baffles me how it's possible in the US of all places.

plenty of jews there

Eastern Europe has the best Internet in the world.

It's also better than Western Europe.

Kind of weird to me, too.

A breath of piss in an ocean of shit.

Still happy about it though.

Eh, it's enough for me. I'm not downloading shit constantly. Thanks cuntcast.

I'm gonna be honest, this data cap is extremely hard to exceed for 99.999999% of families out there but it still shouldn't exist.

With torrents using HEVC now it will become even more difficult.

>Eastern Europe has the best Internet in the world.

No they don't.

Maybe a few select city in those shitty countries, but that's about it.

lol data caps haha

only americucks accept that

And Canadians

And Australians

this only affects people who are currently under a cap, thankfully I am not so it won't affect me. I live in a house hold with a pretty sizeable network of 4 PC's and 7+ phones/tablets and the highest usage for a month I've had was 965GB, so it's gonna be pretty hard to reach the cap unless you're a 1080p anime/porn hoarder

Well, that's the case for Romania and only Romania.

Dude you guys need to stop wasting your bandwidth downloading anime porn because I barely burn like 60 GB a month.

>1 TB
still too low.

I use up like 500 GB per month, alone, on a 16 Mbps connection..

>1080p
damn, is it 2012? Get with the times, gramps

It's hard for most families because the sorts of usage that would exceed the limit have been discouraged by data caps.

My folks keep their TV on just about all day when they're home, something they wouldn't be able to do with Sling TV or a similar service because of data caps. Thus they're stuck with picking between overpriced cable and satellite providers.

I hope they don't start enforcing it.

>Apologize.
Apologize for what? Fuck your data caps you faggot.

But you do not know what a vagina tastes like. Is it all worth it?

If you're apart of private trackers people can probably easily use over a TB every month from seeding to maintain a good ratio.

but that was a month ago you dumb cunt. did you just find out?

Different strokes, mate. For me, downloading two AAA video games can exceed 60 gigs. That doesn't count actually playing them, including voice chat in multiplayer and such, much less any of my other internet usage.

I don't know what many things taste like.

>Is it all worth it?
Worth is whatever you assign it to

>perma-virgin detected

>voice chat in multiplayer and such
oh no, not the sporadic transmissions of 50kbps. How will your bandwidth ever cope ?!

>Apologize
We're you paid by Comcast to post this?

>2016
>datacaps on residential lines
Real fucking type of cancer going on here

>barely burn 60GB
Posting on Sup Forums all day doesn't need much bandwidth, eh?

Americans, I'm so sorry... how can you live like this? :(

By having a ~2 Mbps connection, it would take me ages to break 1 terabytes of bandwidth.

>not Bulgaria

That sucks man, I think Comcast and other ISP's in your country could use a few molotov cocktails through their office windows

Don't use the Cuntcast monopoly unless it's the only sensible option left in your area

Try to find a local ISP that can serve good uncapped speeds

I dropped Cuntcast the day they implemented caps

Glad I did as I discovered a smaller local ISP with a cheaper pricepoint for my 110/20

I was putting up with cancerous customer service and random price jumps

I have never had a problem since I switched

In terms of network uptime:
I have actually had only one instance of service downtime with this ISP compared to Shitcast which went down for hours one night and had minor service downtime regularly during late hours

estonia baltic internet capital

bingo no fast upload either

currently escaping

>bingo no fast upload either
This, so hard to keep a good seeding ratio when your upload is so bad your torrent client thinks your connection is dead and so doesn't seed.

>Apologize
>Comcast
HA

THANK FUCKING GOD.
300GB WAS KILLING ME.

Technician here, is this before or after the bandwidth management project that was recently announced?

does anyone play maplestory anymore?

It got it last, that's how.

>apologize for datacaps
what?

Data caps are everywhere, just not traffic quotas.

Jokes on them, I don't even have caps in my region.
