I thought MacBooks were the ones that throttle?

I thought MacBooks were the ones that throttle?

Looks like Brickpads do it too.

The difference is that MacBooks thermal throttle under a CPU only load.
My E420 at least only thermal throttles on a CPU+GPU load, and that's only when I'm running unrealistic loads like Prime95+Furmark

>and that's only when I'm running unrealistic loads like Prime95+Furmark

Same with MacBooks then, if that throttle meme image is anything to go by.

>buy laptop marketed as video editing machine
>thermal throttles while rendering video
Ok.

[citation needed]

I have a t420. I photoshop and play Dawn of War on a VM, the quardo's setup to be dedicated to the VM.
This. Never. Happens. To me.

The citation is the throttle meme image you quoted.

So you would say it "Works on your machine"?

Yes.

Your mileage may vary, depending on how old the thermal paste is.

Don't know what image you're talking about. I'm talking about the CPU stress test one where it throttles after an hour.

what Throttles is HARDWARE.
Why everyone is making fun of macbook is because it uses Core-M, with is fucking awful.

All in all, OP was a faggot today

Eat shit and die

So it's just going to throttle to a slightly higher CPU clock now. Wow!

You're fucking retarded.
It's about power consumption.
Thermals aren't the issue

inb4 OP says
>lol i troll u
>i was only pretending to be retarded

>appletards being this desperate

i can't believe i fell for the bait...

my 2015 mbp has never throttled.

MacBooks don't throttle under realistic workloads. Some autists here think they throttle easy because some website ran Prime95 on one for an hour.

to be fair, I do use a more aggressive fan profile than default. xcode can be a bitch and I prefer some loudness over 90+ degree internals
